This boot is amazing! I looked for two years for a stylish wedge heeled boot. I have narrower feet and normal calves. This boot is the most comfortable, well made, stylish, waterproof boot I have found. I love love love them! I can't say enough about the quality of the boots or the quality of the customer service at Zappos! Thank you!

I have a pair of these from years back. It has been long enough ago to attest to the boots' quality through many winters here in western Massachusetts. LaCanadienne's Ivana is such a stylish, comfortable and functional choice, that I plan to buy another pair. Endless wearing opportunities. I still trod around in my "old" pair, and now my teen daughter "borrows" them as well!

I have never written a review before, but these boots have literally changed my work day! They are really comfortable and classic looking so they go with everything. They may be expensive, but well worth every penny!

These boots are gorgeous and so comfortable. It is still too hot here to wear them out, but I can't wait! I am usually a size 7, but I ordered these in a 7 1/2 based on the other reviews and they fit perfectly.

These are great boots! A friend in Quebec recommended them to me, since she says she wears them pretty much every day in the winter. I can see why! They are extremely well made and worth the money.

They fit great but looked more like winter boots than dress boots. I will be returning them.

I love the shape of these boots, super chic and sexy. I've been looking for just the right black wedge for a while. However, the center seam bothers me - it's not the most attractive (though this seems to be a trait of most tall La Canadiennes), and in fact the seam rubbed uncomfortably on the top of my right foot. Also, I didn't find the leather to be as supple or shiny as I would expect for a boot in this price range. I returned them.

This is the only tall La Canadienne boot to fit over my muscular calf. finally. It is great to have a tall, waterproof boot suitable for work. The wedge is a little casual for the purpose but the regular heel boots were much too tight in the calf.

I disagree with the reviewers that say this is a super comfortable shoe. The cheaper boots I bought last year are more comfortable. The sole does not give and there is no arch support whatsoever.

Very stylish boot. Put them on and wore them all day the first time. A little narrow through the toe, so if you have a wide foot you may want to go up a 1/2 size.

I love, love, love! Just received yesterday and splurged for me but glad I did. Love the look, fit is great, (they run very generous) but good for our mid-west winters when I wear a heavy sock.

Wonderfully soft leather. It was suggested to buy a half size larger than usual. Great suggestion. Now a perfect fit. Good heel height. Cannot wait for cooler weather so I can wear them!

These are comfortable and stylish. I had to order 1.5 sizes larger than normal. I am normally size 5.5 in shoes, but fit a size 7 snug in this boot. Beautiful quality and construction. Will have to buy anti-slip guards for bottom though, since slippery. Excited to see if these are durable.

I really really wanted to love these boots. But for over this cost, they just are not worth it. They feel like lesser priced boots! The style and fit are great, but simply overpriced. Bummer. Back they go.

This boot is just amazing. The quality equals the price and fit is perfect. I have a hard time finding tall boots that fit my slim calf. This boot fits very well straight out of the box. I highly recommend it for style and comfort.

Warm, waterproof, comfortable, and they look great! This is my second pair of La Canadiennes and, each time, I balked at the price, but I can say they are totally worth it. The wedge gives you height, yet you can walk ALL day in these.

Absolutely love these boots. Took them on a trip and they were comfortable right out of the box! Only negative is that the top stitching is not exactly the same on both boots. Not sure anyone else but me would notice but for this price point a bit surprised.

I have at least four other pairs of boots from La Canadienne. Thanks to Zappos great shipping/return policy, I've tried out other brands, but keep coming back to La Canadienne and especially their wedge style. I am short (5' 2") and avoid tall shafts; still, I wish that this one had been a tad higher, but no other boot I've seen this season matches this one: They are understated, versatile, and very comfortable, but also elegant and sleek (yet with room enough to tuck in jeans or leggings). The waterproof factor and the durability is a must here in NYC. I'm not looking forward to winter, but I am looking forward to wearing these.

These are beautiful boots. I ordered my usual 5.5 and while they felt narrow initially, (hence my marking "felt narrower than marked") I've worn them just sitting around with or without thin trouser socks and they are stretching out and conforming already. They are actually lower than they appear. I have not worn them outside yet, but walking around the house for break-in, I can tell these will work very well with a variety of outfits and walking surfaces. The heel is a little narrow, but the tread is soft so there is no clacking noise when walking. If anything, boots are too slim for my calves, and I'm very short too, but I've been able to fit slim jeggings inside these boots and they're pretty snug now, but will be even better when they are broken in.

I finally found my black boots! I have been searching for stylish yet comfortable black boots for years. It was imperative that the boots be of great quality leather to last me through many harsh Florida winters. All kidding aside, I have searched for a couple of years and have not found the boots that are stylish, comfortable to walk on, and do not look like I am wearing galoshes due to the shaft circumference. Today I received the boots that met all three requirements! Yippee! One review noted the toes are squarish, and that is true, but not so pronounced, I think. The leather is nice and sleek (check!). The circumference around the ankles is perfect, not too slim and not too wide. The boots are comfortable (check!). I rated four for comfort because I only reserve five for shoes that I can wear walking most of the day without pain for fatigue (my Dansko clogs for example). But the best part is that the shaft circumference is smaller than all of the boots that I have tried in the past (all high end boots - Naot, Dansko, Clarks), and so I can zip up snugly around my calves (check!). Because they zip up snugly, I think they look good on my 4'11" frame, and like I mentioned, do not make me look like I am traipsing around in galoshes. I normally wear 5-5½, so a 5½ Ivana fit me well - I can wear thin trouser socks underneath. I had also ordered the Canadienne Mazy in black suede, in a 5M. These are totally sexy boots with a nice heel, but for some reason I feel this Mazy model distributes more pressure onto the ball of my feet, and just walking around the house hurt my feet so I think I would be dying if I wore them to work. The shaft circumference is also a nice slim size and fit me snugly, so I would say if you can handle heels, these would be totally worth it. I am returning the Mazy, but definitely keeping the Ivana. I have been looking for the perfect boots for years and finally found them. These are comfortable, they actually fit my legs (I am 5'0" and 110 pounds and have a hard time finding the right proportions). Not only that, but they are resistant to everything from spit-uppy babies to walking through puddles. If I had to be picky, I would say that I wish they were a bit shinier instead of matte. But I will take it.

Beautiful boot. Comfortable heel. Only complaint is lower part of shaft feels a bit tight, could use some softening. Hopefully will give with wear. Otherwise a great boot all around.
