Best comfortable shoe with a heel!
I just recently came across this brand and LOVE it. I just wish there was more of a color selection in the product line. The shoes are a perfect fit although they are a little narrow around the toes. My feet are super sensitive and I almost never wear heels but this shoe was comfortable with great arch support. You can't go wrong with this shoe.

Comfortable -
I have only had La Canadienne boots and they are fab so I decided to try a regular shoe. Wore them right out of the box for 6 hours and they were so comfortable and looked sharp!

A great looking shoe with all the comfort -
Put the shoe on right from the box and it was like stepping into a dream. They fit perfectly and I walked around the city in them and did not have a problem. They are so sleek looking and would recommend them to anyone that likes style. A must have.

I have a pair of boots by La Canadienne that are the best walking shoe and also look great with everything. I wanted a shoe version for spring so I bought it and took it to a conference in NY. They look sophisticated and neutral, provide a height like heels and are stable and comfy though the incline made my toes feel pressure after a while and I had to switch shoes. Time will tell if that is just a breaking in thing. I travel a lot and think this shoe will serve a lot of different purposes. They are not as comfy as my boots but are more comfortable than any heel in my closet without looking fogey. I should add I have a long skinny foot with a moderately high arch and long toes. I do not find many shoes that easy to wear and love this brand.

I purchased this shoe for a 2 week trip to Italy. I had always worn Arche for these trips (where there is intensive walking on uneven surfaces, etc.). Arche didn't seem to have any new styles I liked and my old Arche shoes looked terrible, so I purchased these. I wish I had worn them around the house before I took them - my feet started hurting while I was still on the plane! I have a wide foot and they are just too narrow for me. Otherwise, I highly recommend them. I like the heel height and they look okay with casual skirts as well as pants. I am sure they would be very warm in cold, rainy weather. If you have a wide foot, you should steer clear of them though.

I was looking for a comfortable waterproof shoe for when I go to Paris in May (rainy season). La Canadienne Gina is certainly comfortable and light, one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried. But it's not quite elegant enough for me to wear on a regular basis as it really doesn't suit a lot of my clothes except for trousers. It's a little chunky looking. I would have liked it a little slimmer in the toe and the actual heel. In fact La Canadienne also had the Irma May Jane model which was more what I had in mind only the 3-inch heel was too high for me.

Very comfortable - No break in time required. I love walking around in these because of the squishy platform. These are great for places where you have to walk around a lot. The treading on the bottom gives you good traction, especially in the rain.

This shoe was a disappointment. The micro upper is not as soft as the suede upper La Canadienne used in a very similar shoe I bought previously and loved. In these shoes, my feet feel like they are wrapped in very tight elastic! Also, the size I ordered is too long and there is no stock available in the next smaller size. Zappos is a great company. However, I’ve been disappointed with its lack of inventory. I purchased two other pairs of shoes and need to make size adjustments, but Zappos does not have the sizes I need in stock.

These are comfortable, stylish and well cushioned. They are a great look for work without being clunky and orthopedic.

Wear these daily with jeans, slacks, midi skirts or leggings. Immensely comfortable, waterproof, stylish and practical for rainy Portland weather. I buy a new pair every 2 years as the inside does wear out, although the outside does not. Great investment.

First I tried my normal size, but the fit was much too large. Then I tried the half size smaller, but the fit was still a bit too big and hit my ankle in an uncomfortable spot. Too bad cause this is what I'm looking for in a walking shoe!

As I have come to expect with La Canadienne, these shoes are worth every penny! Comfort from minute one, all day long! They are stylish due to the great sole and the only slight negative is they squeak a little on tiled floors, but I really just overlook that. I wear a 9, and the 9 was perfect. As usual, great Zappos service.

This shoe is very comfortable. The wedge provides uniform support, and the platform makes the heel feel a lot less high than it looks. It gives your foot a sleek look--nice. My heel slips a tiny bit but not enough to concern me. Also, I wear a C width and the Gina comes in Medium only. That said, the fabric upper is stretchy and plenty roomy enough. Great shoes!

This is the best work and walking shoe ever! I've had the same pair for five years and they still look great. I stand for ten hours a day at work and am comfortable in these. The toe box accommodates my wide bunions and yet also fits my short and narrow heel. The heel height not an issue. The arch support could be a little better. They go with pants well. They do well with walking and traveling, especially when you are in between sandal and boots seasons. I just wish other colors were available.

Sadly, those who reviewed these shoes didn't get to wear the shoe that this one is based on by Donald Pliner. I went looking for a replacement for that particular shoe this year they stopped making the style I used to buy and was hoping that this would be the answer to my problem. Compared to that one, this shoe was much more unyielding and uncomfortable. It was also very cheaply made by comparison which would have been fine if it has been half the price...but it isn't. It's almost as expensive. The heel...instead of being made of a rubber that only cushions and moves with your foot even more...was made of some kind of cheap plastic. While I didn't find that they ran wide as some people claimed...they did immediately start rubbing against my foot which I knew would wind up being a problem. Too bad...I had so hoped that this would be a solution for me as I have worn the Donald Pliner version since they started making them some approximately 12-15 years ago. I have a had time finding shoes that fit my feet properly. Sadly this one doesn't work.

I bought two pairs of these to wear with my slacks when I walked the few blocks to my office each day, less than 1/2 mile. The lining in both of them wore out in less than 6 months. I am not happy with this purchase at all!
