I ordered a half size larger because many reviews said the fit is tight and needs one size bigger. The half size larger is too big for me.

Needed these for a trip to Europe in December. The boots run 1/2 size smaller, especially with socks. Decided on the Evitta by La Canadienne in 6 1/2 instead. Thanks Zappos!

Nice looking for a waterproof boot. These are pretty comfortable, and seem well made. I needed something waterproof, but with looks that didn't shout about how sporty or trendy it is. There's not much else I could find, so it's good that these aren't ugly. I wear a 10, and the narrow shape of the boot with the square toe makes my feet look longer than I really like. But it's more important that the shoes are warm, sleek, and I don't have to worry about getting them wet. I absolutely had to get an inexpensive arch support insert for these; there is no raised arch support, and there is enough of a high heel that my normal but over-35 foot was stressed. It was painful to be on my feet in them for more than 20 minutes. With the arch support, they're fine.

I was searching for a warm, weatherproof, comfy boot with a bit of a heel but nothing too crazy. A friend of mine recommended these boots as she has 2 pairs and loves them. I ordered them and Zappos as usual made them appear at my doorstep in less than 24 hours! I ordered a half-size up after reading some of the other reviews. I have a slightly wide foot but have never needed to buy wide shoes. I found that going up half a size in these boots was sufficient although they are snug across the forefoot. I wear them with thin socks. The boots are almost everything that I was looking for, they fit the bill in terms of comfort, heel height, warmth, general appearance and everyday wearability. The only thing I\'m not 100% psyched about is the sqaured-off toe box as it\'s not the most fashionable look at the moment. Overall though all the good points outweigh this one not-so-perfect point and I\'m keeping them and enjoying them. I would recommend these boots.

My regular size was too snug in the toes so I had to go with a half size larger, which seemed a little too roomy, but livable. Arch support was not good so I decided to add an insert and since there was room in the half size larger, that seems fine. Otherwise, very comfortable, and nice looking which is why I went through all the effort. I've worn them to work several times and find them very comfortable.

Looks great; somewhat narrow - The toebox was too small for me. I had to return these boots. I've been measured and re-measured as 7.5B, but my toes felt pinched in this boot. The charcoal is a beautiful soft gray and very attractive.

Great Ankle Boot - I have two other pairs of La Canadienne boots and love them all. This pair is a little narrow in the toe box and so not as comfortable as the others. Great look, great brand.

In regular shoes I wear 8.5M, but ordered 9W to allow for socks. It just about fits widthwise, is generous lengthwise, but unfortunately the square toe box looks exaggerated. The shaft diameter is 1/2" less than stated. Not happy, have to return.

Not in love with the shoes. Even with a square toe-box & wide width, the shape still forces my big toe inward which does not encourage me to wear them much. The soles are not super durable either, signs of serious wear after 2-3 times worn. So for the price paid, this was not a great value for me.

I love the look and idea of these boots and I was quite disappointed to find that the ankle was tragically narrow for me. Usually when I order a wide size the ankle is increased to correspond to that but if you have wide ankles, save yourself a return.

I have two other styles of La Canadienne, they were super comfortable (right out of the box) and perfectly true to my normal size 8. This Felicia feels at least half a size too small and is very tight around my slim to normal size ankles without any socks or stockings on. Too late to order another size, as I was incorrectly sent a 7, then reordered and got the 8 that I initially requested (too snug, as mentioned), but now most sizes are sold out. Oh well, I will try again next time. I still think La Canadienne is great and this style is nice, if you can manage to figure out what size to get.

I bought this boot in previous years, but this year it is too snug and the suede-moka color-looks totally different from the front panel to the side on one boot, so I returned it.

The boot cradle seemed comfortable enough for my wide toes but seemed tight and uncomfortable when I walked in it. Have to return it.

I love the look of these boots and they fit well, but along with others commenting on La Canadienne boots, I must point out that they have no arch support and as a result the balls of my (flat) feet get quite sore after less than a day in the boots. This was the case of my last pair of La Canadiennes, which I had to throw out a few months ago after several years of heavy wear. So while I'm hoping I will break these in, it's a shame I have to wedge them with Dr. Scholl products.

Great looks. I have a slightly wider foot and these were too narrow and tight overall. A;so I wear a size 7 and ordered a 7.5 and they still were tight.

I normally love La Canadienne shoes, but I didn't care for these. They didn't feel as comfortable and were very chunky looking. I got the Clarks boots in espresso suede instead and was much happier with them.

I love La Canadienne shoes and have 4 pairs courtesy of Zappos, but I just didn't love these. I think the fit was just right. I normally wear a 6 but usually buy a 6.5 so I can wear thick tights in the winter. They're REALLY black and almost too black. My foot didn't hug the base of the shoe, so my heel and toes touched the shoe but my arches were kind of hanging. The top of the shoe is too snug and the material is pretty stiff, so I found it uncomfortable. With the boxy toe box, it makes your foot look large and unattractive. I just wanted a more feminine shoe.

It was stiff and not as comfortable as I thought. I love my aquatalia and was looking for a similar boot since they\'re getting old but these may go back. It didn\'t have the cushioning on top or on bottom inside, like the aquatalia.

Theses shoes are very comfortable, but at the same time they're rather heavy and clunky. The square toe with wedge did not work out.

Not worth the cost - Yes, they are water proof which is what I wanted. Not very comfortable though. No arch support & no cushion in the sole. Also not warm. Wish I hadn't worn them so I could return them. They are way over-priced.

These are my work shoes, so I wear them strictly indoors. I didn't get them for looks, I think the style is a bit outdated, but I mainly got them for comfort. I need black shoes for work and I have wide feet. These seemed to work really well for me, they are wide enough and quite comfortable. However, the traction is lacking so it is quite slick, and then the soles wore out completely about 6 months in. Now, as I mentioned, I only wear these shoes indoors. They were pretty expensive, and I am willing to spend good money on good shoes, but 6 months is not a very good lifespan for a $300 pair of shoes... I would not recommend these shoes for daily wear.

These shoes were adorable and felt great on my feet. I bought these in both the brown and the black. Unfortunately right out of the box all 4 of the shoes looked like the fabric was scuffed and worn thin on the top of the big toe. I don't know if others had tried the boots on and pushed their thumb on that spot to check the size, but it was not what I was expecting of boots at this price. They are being returned.

The boot was great in every respect but the circumference of the shaft (opening). The top, when fully zipped is so tight, it is impossible to walk. My calf is on the big side, but not too out of the ordinary. Had to return the boots, that's too bad. I am very happy with Zappos in general, their service and polices. Whenever I see footwear I like, I always check with Zappos first.

Chose pragmatism over aesthetics with this boot but was disappointed still. First, the boot resembles a snowboot, not a casual boot that one can wear in snow/wet conditions. The roomy toe box is a stiffly molded square without any nuance of shape. My feet looked like I had square blocks on them, not square toed shoes on them. Secondly, a midfoot fit problem. Similar to another reviewer, the slope of the wedge left my arch half touching the bottom of the shoe and half hanging. This may be due to ill fit, but is nonetheless surprising in a low heeled wedge boot. And finally, the sole is hard, inflexible and a bit heavy. So with no padding in the forefoot area, the shoe is not comfortable for urban walking. Not the waterproof walking boot I needed. Nice suede leather, good construction and fit in heel and ankle.
