Comfort - good. Style - excellent. Fits true to size... But the shoes were seamed very poor and started to fall apart in a week of very light wear in a city (see attached photo). I bought them because reviews were good which means the manufacturer has finally learned how to save on quality.

I searched the site completely and found remarks about "American Original" and the word "American" thrown around frequently. Once I received the shoes I was horrified to see they were made in China! Sure, I like the comfort and fit, but I also want to boost our own economy, not China's. I feel betrayed by Sperry's "American" sales pitch. For shoes made in China, these are extremely expensive. Won't happen again.

This is the second pair I have returned due to poor quality control. The fabric panels on the sides of the shoes are significantly different. I will spend a week in the BVI sailing in both Jan and Feb for the first time without sperry's. I have bought sperry's since I was a kid sailing in Michigan. I'm 57 and disappointed.

Why not make size 14??? No one seems to have this size. Why not?
