Inner sole is loose and not fastened. I can pick it up from base of shoe. It would seem that it should be more permanently sewn to the inside of the shoe.

I have always had to chose something else to get the right size. Never the one I want in the size I need. This time was no different, but I didn't get 9.5 in an extra wide. I got a 10 or maybe 10 1/2. I still didn't get what I wanted.

Same great shoe as always. great fit. When they get wet your feet will be orange. Guess another brand making shoes for Madison Ave types. I used to get years of use out of a pair and now they only last about a year before the seams start falling apart.

I got these shoes not even a year ago. I only wear them for work. They have developed holes and the sole wore out super fast. I have had previous pairs that lasted me two years at a time but this most recent pair only last me 6-7 months.

Air-mesh upper panels poorly made, they started ripping with less than 1 year of casual wear and quickly became a very casual pair of around the house work shoes. Disappointed in this line, their others wear so well.

bought a pair of Sperry Billfish Boat Shoes 9M and the laces are way too short and I cannot keep them tied. Due to my left arm being paralyzed someone must tie them for me and when no one is home with me I cannot wear them. I have owned Billfish for many years and this is the first time I have had this problem. Please help me, thanks

I have a few pair made in china that are good. I have one pair made in Viet Nam and the size and quality is poor.

I've been wearing Sperry shoes for twenty years plus so I understand the typical wear and use patterns one might expect from products from this normally quality oriented source. Usually I can get 6-8 years of hard use from a pair. Regretfully these Billfish shoes have not performed as well as expected. The mesh (a great idea) has worn and ripped on both shoes after just a couple years. As I continue to wear the shoes the rips are just getting worse. Very disappointing performance.

I have always ordered, in any shoe, a size 12 and depending on width I'd go from there. Unfortunately I believe these shoes were mismarked. She show itself was approximately a full to a full size and a half too big. Sending them back and hopefully ordering another size. I do hope they'll fit

I have been wearing Sperry Billfish shoes for years. They are one of the few boat shoes available in an extra wide which is great for my 3E feet. I received these and there were some minor cosmetic changes but overall they seemed similar to previous versions. However, that changed when I put them on. The shoe fits like a normal D width shoe. I called Sperry customer service and they said nothing had changed with the cut of the shoe; they just needed to stretch out. Since I have owned these for years I think I know how these should feel new. Something has definitely changed. Previous versions I would give 5 stars however because of the narrow fit I have to down grade the current version.

Left shoe has never fit right. Either a poor design or a problem with the product. I have sent them back twice. Still a problem.

My husband has had these for 10 months, wore them a dozen times at most. The bottom us separating from the side! Such a disappointment.

I am not happy with them. I tried the 10.5 Wide, but the were too short. I kept the 11 Wide, but they feel too loose. I probably should have tried the 11 Reg. The right heal rubs and I cannot wear them without socks. I also do not like the feel of the leather tops. They seem more like plastic than real leather. These may be buyer issues, make sure you are 100% happy before you wear them outside. I was in too much of a rush.

This shoe was much too narrow for my foot. I placed it next to the Sebago Clovehitch 2 and it was about ½ inch more narrow. I couldn't get it on my feet without much pain. Too bad because it is a very good looking boat shoe.

I was delighted with my first pair. Very comfortable and lasted well. In fact, I was so pleased I bought a second pair when the first did eventually wear out. While the second pair was just as comfortable right out of the box, I was sadly disappointed with the quality insofar as the sole began to separate from the upper within about 2 months of non-daily wearing. I am debating buying another pair (they are super comfortable) and sending this current pair back to see what happens.

I agree with the previous reviewer that these have a quality problem. After wearing mine intermittently for a year, they have a large rip in the side. While they lasted they were good shoes, but clearly sub-par construction.

These shoes can be very comfortable but they have 2 issues: 1) the fit varies widely from one pair to another. 2) after just a few uses they look like crap (and I usually take good care of shoes). With that in mind these are a hit or miss, and somewhat overpriced for how long (or short) they last.

Third pair. 2nd pair just fell apart, soul fell away from the upper. beyond that, in both my recent purchases of this shoe I find that the laces will not stay tied. It is very annoying. I am constantly having to stop, bend over and re-tie the shoe. My sense is that there is too much synthetic material in the lace which allows it to come loose, undone. I am a long-term customer, buy most from Nordstrom but often from your website since sizes are known and true. This is a major inconvenience and annoyance. I'm done with this shoe.

I've bought this model of Sperry deck shoe for years but these were a huge disappointment. Much narrower than the 'wide' I have purchased before and instead of tan they turned out to be a very unattractive orangish tan. I saw the exact same model / UPC in a department store later and the color was the normal tan Sperry used to sell. Very disappointed and even though I wore them I am going to attempt a return to Zappos since I don't believe they are of the normal Sperry quality and fit for a high-priced shoe.

Great looking new-- loved 'em. After a season they became somewhat dingy so I used Sperry Cleaner and Conditioner, and I must say I followed directions as carefully as I could. They became terribly dry, light colored and began to crack. I'm not sure if the leather was not tanned properly or the conditioner was too strong. The only way to make them usable was to use a well known conditioner which darkened them significantly, but at least they flex without cracking.

I love these shoes. HOWEVER, the footbed has a 3/4 leather with a seam that hits right where my foot lands. After walking a while in them, they gave me blisters. I have no idea why they would put such and idiotic footbed in such a great and otherwise comfortable shoe. I shouldn't have to get replacement inserts, and if I do, I have to rip out the footbed, as it's glued in.
I'd also recommend:
Sperry (not all models have the stupid split footbed)

I love the Look Of these shoes but dont lasT. the insoles sTart to peel up and wrinkle inside. I have returned the shoes twice but they all have done the samething. I will never buy another pair of these shoes again. The pRice is A little steep for something of such poor quality. They start of really comfOrtaBle until the Sole peels up.

I have purchased Sperry Top Siders and Boat Shoes for years. I recently purchased these shoes and I am very disappointed in the quality. In less than a month's time the stitching on the rear of the left shoe came undone. I only wear the shoes around the house and not outdoors so it was not done to excessive or rough use. I should have realized when I saw that it was made in Vietnam that it would be of poor quality.
