I ordered my normal size and they were huge so I exchanged them for a full size smaller. Once I got the correct size they seemed to fit great. These were great for hiking and were comfy at first but almost immediately rubbed huge blisters on my heels and sides of my feet. They fit snuggly and I was wearing thick socks with Band-Aids so I don't think they should have rubbed as much as they did. Not sure I will be able to wear them again if they are going to always rub this badly...

I needed a boot I could spend lots of time doing ground work - lunging, ground driving, walking the dogs, etc. but also be able to ride. These fit the bill perfectly. Good support and comfortable. I am a 6.5US, 37E and theses fit true to my normal size. Plenty of room in the toe box.

Terrains used to be my favorite, go to boots for all types of activity, from riding to working. I have 4 pairs that I have been rotating for about ten years. I bought a new pair about a year ago, and the toe caps have come off, the arch support is not very supportive, and the sides have ripped out. I also have 2 friends that purchased Terrains in the last year and they both complain of foot and knee pain when wearing them. I noticed that my 4 old pairs were made in China and the new ones (including my friends') were made in VietNam. Ariat - time to improve quality and fit to what they were in the past!! Tough for me to recommend and I may have to look for a replacement. :(

I originally bought these in a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear but had to return them. I bought my size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I instantly felt comfortable in them and highly recommend them. Plus, they are good looking.

Cleaning troughs by dumping them using a handyman siphoning (a blessing) but there is water in the area...much less than it could be...this is where Ariat-Terrain Waterproof boots one in. Fits perfect..no need to work them in...and I now stay very dry. I couldn't have anything better! I LOVE MY ARIAT BOOTS!

I bought these boots for hiking and durability out on the farm. I took them with me when I went non technical canyoneering in Utah and let me say, they did not let me down. Descending into the canyon was terrifying, but these boots offered great grip and did not fault in the ankles. Great support, surprisingly light and extremely comfortable. Great shock absorption and sole support. Didn't get overly hot or uncomfortable (and this was my first time wearing them/breaking them in!!!). These are my most trusted pair of boots, feels like a second (more protective) skin.

Bought with excitement- returned disillusioned. Horribly uncomfortable- like walking in a vice. Hard cheap feeling leather and nasty rubber heels. They feel, and look, cheap. Very overpriced. Wouldn't by Aristotle again.

I got these a little over a year ago, and they have held up pretty well for an everyday boot. The break in time took a while, however after a week or two they fit well. The leather is solid, and definitely waterproof. It still holds up well. One caveat with these boots is the fake leather in the front, this material started ripping and breaking down after a few months. If you are looking for a casual every day boot for a reasonable price you can't go wrong with these. If you are working in a field that requires a lot of leg work in harsh conditions, I would go with something more sturdy and rugged.

When the Terrain boots first came out they were the only shoes I could wear when I had plantar fasciitis. The last 3 pairs I've gotten have not lived up to that quality. The materials seem cheaper, more plastic than leather, my feet float around inside them, they stretch out faster and don't even last a year now. And the ATS foot beds flatten out way too quickly and seem very thin. I've had this pair just under a month and my feet already hurt. I wish they would go back to the original quality. Unfortunately I can't return them because I've already worn them outside working.

First day wearing these. They are very comfortable and easy to put on. I haven't put them through the wringer yet. I do demolition work and I'm pretty ruff on boots. I'll be sure to update this review in a week or two.

I bought this shoe a few weeks ago and it is great. I had one 20 years ago and the features, comfort, and appearance are the same. The only thing that changed was the price. I work on a farm and need this type of shoe for arch stability. I highly recommend this footwear, you will not be disappointed.

I am having Achilles issues and need good support to keep it from getting worse. My feet to well in these boots...always have. But I am looking forward to their zipper terrain boots being available soon as there are times a trip to the barn goes faster with the zip up!!!!!

I work in the CMV trucking industry. I am a CDL instructor. I have had my boots for 3 1/2 years. They are more comfortable today than the day I bought them. Can't ask for a better work boot! I bought a men's small boot. Men's boots last longer than women's, I found out. Did that when I was in law enforcement. I'm always on my feet and no matter the cost, I get what is good. The price on these is amazing. I recommend these boots to anyone. Thank you Ariat, for an excellent product. P.S. YES!!! VERY WATERPROOF!!

First of all, I really like these boots. I've only had them for about two months, but I am generally hard on boots. I do a lot of field work in various types of terrain including uplands, swamps, pastures, etc. This is not hiking on a trail, but going in the roughest areas of any property. I got a stress fracture in my right foot last year (wearing different boots), so I looked to find something this year that leaned a bit more towards comfort than utility. I've worn these boots through streams and swamps, horse pastures, upland forests, coastal habitats, and climbing boulders. These definitely hit the mark on comfort as I've had no issues with my feet since switching to these boots. This boot would be perfect if you are looking for a good all around hiking boot. However, I would make a couple of minor changes for my own purposes. The boots have done a good job of keeping the water out until... you overtop them. I've got 15" rubber boots and hip waders for my wettest work, but it would be great to see these in an 8" boot to add a little more utility. The outsoles provide decent traction on dry surfaces, but slip easily in wet or muddy conditions. I little bit more aggressive tread for a hiking boot would be a big improvement. I would not go as far as to say that these are the perfect compromise between comfort and utility, but they are not far off. I would say these run true to size, but different from my Ariat western boots. I wear an 11.5 on western boots, but an 11 in these (and most everything else).

I have purchased Ariat Terrain boots for probably the past 15 years and they were always my 'go to boot' no matter if I was riding or hiking. I purchased a pair about 1-2 months ago and have worn them less than a dozen times and never where they have gotten wet. I just noticed the black piece that runs around the toe has begun to break away already. TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED in the quality in my recent purchase! I never minded the cost of the shoe because of how durable they were. Can't say that about this pair. I need to rethink future purchases for my riding/barn shoes.

These boots are extremely comfortable. I spend long hours in the garden and was in search of durable boots where my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. I love these.

Had these boots for year now and from day one they gave me fits. First off I had to buy a boot stretcher to widen the throat of the boot because it was giving me blisters after 3 hours of use. Second the soles cracked during the winter right at the pad of the foot on both boots. Lastly the dye they used in the leather turns the socks orange. Wouldn't recommend for the farmer that is expecting their boots to last more than a year
