The quality of these boots are phenomenal! I only wished I had them 8 months ago to survive the wet, slushy winters in Columbus, OH. Highly recommended. In addition, I recommend Zappos for speedy delivery. I received the boots 4 days after order. Wow! Thanks!

Order the smaller size. These boots are great, they will keep you dry and warm in whatever conditions you may face.

These were sold out in most sizes all over NYC and even online during rainy March. I would have preferred a women’s 11, but that wasn’t available anywhere in the colors I wanted. Since some reviews said, I could go a size smaller, I took a chance on a 10, but it was definitely too tight in the toes. The return was fairly easy and I ordered a 12 instead. They feel a little big, but I guess I’ll keep them and wear with thick socks. The Merlot is kind of a dusty dark red, which I like a lot, although on a rainy day I see at least 2-3 other pairs walking around, so it’s not exactly original. Still, they’re nice and tall for big curb puddles and feel very sturdy on slippery surfaces.

I bought these for my husband to wear on our long walks (can't really call them hikes) through the muddy areas along the coast, near our home. He wanted something that was functional, but also classically fashionable. These boots are both, for certain. They were extremely comfortable and terrific for walking through the wet woods and through mud, with great traction. The style and the maroon color were very fashionable - much more than hiking boots. It is great that they are slightly larger than the size indicates, so they easily accommodate a thick sock on a cold day. While I wouldn't recommend these for lengthy hikes, my husband gives the thumbs up for a few miles of muddy, slippery walking.

Great boots for wet conditions in the yard. Easy to slip on and off and very well made. Great purchase, and Zappos is a great retailer. Bought online because the stores in my area don't stock men's Hunter boots.

Another great Zappos purchasing experience! The rubber boots I ordered arrived overnight! Fit was fine and they were just as advertised.

Before ordering these boots I carefully read most of the reviews, but then decided that the complaints about calf circumference would likely not be an issue for me. Of course the company expects men with a size 13 foot to have a large calf, right? Wrong. I could only just get the boot pulled on over my bare leg. That and the shoe was slightly too large, so I'm sending the pair back and trying the shorter version.

I had been suffering, up until now, in cheap, poorly constructed pseudo-"Wellington" rain boots, and now I am in HEAVEN!! These British Hunter boots, created in a lot of great colors, are very attractive, super well-made, ultra-comfortable, and durable. I love wearing them both in rain and big snowstorms, too. I was complimented on the very first day by a 20-something snowplow guy. I advise anyone to spend the money and get these better quality, better fitting, better fabricated boots. You will not regret this purchase. And, the staff at Zappos is terrific, too, while shipping is fast and free. What a marvelous deal!! We continue to appreciate Zappos for so many reasons.

I liked these so much for the first year I had them, and they fit well, but even following the Hunter care recommendations they’ve now cracked along the sole and are useless. At this price I was expecting a boot I’d have for many years - really disappointed to be forced to throw them out after just a year’s use.

I just got my first pair of Hunters in the mail today. They came super fast. Zappos is amazing! I got the dark green and love the color, as I was really indecisive of which color to pick. I read a lot of the reviews and most talked about the small calve openings of the boots. I agree they are much smaller than I would have thought. I don’t have large calves at all, but the opening was smaller than I anticipated. However, I am still quite happy with them and the quality. I believe the opening will stretch a bit over time. For now I can just wear skinny or boot cut jeans with them. LOVE Hunters!

My husband selected these boots and absolutely loves them! Although expensive, the fit is great and they are useful for a variety of activities - rain, beach, etc. He thinks it was a great purchase!

I am a tall girl with athletic calves, so I ordered these in the men’s style for the extra inch in height and extra inch in circumference. I need to tuck my pants inside, and these are JUST perfect for that. There is a roomy foot, so thankfully I am able to wear thick socks with them, as they are cold without that insulation. I know they are trendy at the moment, but I got them for practicality (almost rejected them because of the trendiness and I could not be happier. The trendiness is my bonus!!!

Great service as always, I received my order fast and in great condition! I am usually 8 1/2 in non designer shoes, 9 in most designer shoes, 9 1/2 in CL and I ordered a 9 for this Hunter boots because a smaller size was not available and although they are a little on the bigger side, it is not a problem. Plus I will order the welly socks… that will help. Have fun shopping!

Living in Ottawa which is a location with long wet, snowy, and at times bitterly cold winters, the boots frequently provide very practical everyday footwear compared to expensive shoes that I would normally wear. The small foot print, light weight, flexibility, comfortable fit, and narrow shaft enable them to be worn over or under the pant legs to provide additional warmth, both in the leg and the foot itself. These features of the boot avoid any normal fatigue that one would experience with a heavy footed boot. It is easy, of course, to remove the salt from the boot by rinsing it under the tap: salt that would normally stain and ruin leather shoes. I chose a chocolate color which blends well with a number of other colors and when worn under a pair of pants is unobtrusive. Also, I bought size 43 when I would normally buy a 44...

These Hunter boots are the best!!! I have practically lived in them amidst all of the snow and rain. I wear a size 12 in women’s and the 10s are just right. As for zappos.com - AMAZING service. I ordered an 11 at first, returned them the following day, and within 24 hours the size I needed was at my doorstep. GREAT customer service, excellent quality on behalf of Hunter and one very satisfied customer. I’ll be back to zappos.com.

I have had a pair of Hunter boots for years and bought this pair for my husband to wear while working on his outdoor skating rink. I didn't get the liners for these but his feet are not only dry but warm with just socks on. These are truly the best rubber boots made out there! My whole family has pair and we love them. They are worth every bit of the money spent!

I ordered two pairs of Hunter boots for my daughters for Christmas. They really like them. One daughter is in college and has to do a lot of walking. The boots keep her warm and dry. The same for my other daughter who is a teacher and has to take the kids out to recess. The one negative about the boots is that they are a bit narrow in the calf for the girls. They were disappointed that they could not use the fleece liners inside. SO if you have a wide calf the boots may not fit.

Just fantastic. Warm, utterly waterproof, excellent traction in icy conditions. Calves are wide enough to allow tucking-in of lots of pant-leg material (bulky jean material - okay! flannel-lined chinos - okay! snow pants - okay!). I notice a lot of reviews found Hunters to be larger than marked (size-wise); however, I am usually a men's 8 (UK)/9 (US) and had to get a men's 9 (UK)/10 (US) in this boot. Luckily, Zappos is awesome with the free shipping and returns.

The boots are great and just what I expected. Though I had to go to a different internet shoe company to get the liner to make this into an insulated boot. I bought these and Sorrel Joan of Ark for my daughter to choose from and she choose both. Now my other daughter wants a pair. She had to return her North Face boots because of size (too small) and will replace them with the Hunter boots. Zappos is incredible. I ordered a total of 5 orders over Christmas and everyone was on my doorstep the next day.

Excellent service and timely arrival of packages which were complicated by ordering Boots by UK manufacturer and Zappos had a sizing chart with EU UK US and Male and Female sizes. I still screwed up one of the sizes, but my fault and not Zappos as they gave me the chart with all the info on sizes. Good pricing also. Will deal with Zappos again.

This is an awesome boot! I wear them almost everyday. I have a springer spaniel and we love to walk off the beaten path. These are also perfect when it rains to help me get around with dry feet. I bought mine in the Hunter Green and they are very stylish. I love these and would recommend to anyone.

Nice, but tight. I bought these as a replacement for my LL Bean Wellies. They are a nice boot, but the ankle and calf area are cut snugly, enough to prevent you from inserting your pants into the boot (which was not the case with the discontinued LL Bean model). I assume this is because the boots are meant to be worn with "breeks" (fancy British word for knickers) which just crest the top of the boot. I kept them, but if they crack or I get fed up with my pants bunching around the top, I'll look for another brand. Basically, despite their pedigree, these have been relegated in the U.S. to fashion rain boots for young ladies. Go to any college campus and they are practically viral. Another downside. Sorry.

I ordered the Hunter boots to replace my old rain boots and snow boots that ripped. I don't have large calves by any means so I was really surprised that the Women's Hunter Original Gloss (in Graphite size 8) and the Huntress in women's size 9 were both super small in the calf. I couldn't even wear them with pants tucked in or the welly socks I ordered. I returned those and ordered the men's size 8 and another pair of welly socks. The men's boots weren't much wider; it's a little snug with the welly socks and my pants tucked in. They'll probably be okay going back & forth to work in the slush; I don't have a far walk to the train. I loved the women's boots in Graphite and was really disappointed they didn't fit. Overall, they're really comfortable. I'm so glad Zappos has free shipping & returns! The customer service was outstanding; I just wish Hunter would make them a little wider.

I ordered these boots for my daughter. They came very fast and she is wearing them all the time! She is very happy with them. They fit well and look great.

Great boots, except for the blooming effect. This is where white swirl marks appear due to some part of the manufacturing process. Supposedly you can clean them off, although I tried washing and it had no effect. I've only worn them 1.5 times. Have to return.
