The steel toe makes the shoe stiff, but not uncomfortably so. They will just take a little longer to break in than a casual shoe. The sole is slightly larger than the walking shoes I normally wear, so along with the stiffness, I occasionally get these shoes caught up in the gas and brake pedals of my car. I got pretty much what I expected when I ordered these shoes, a shoe to use changing tires on the car, home projects, yard work with power tools. A good shoe at a good price.

Just writing to let you know that the Skechers Work are great. For the new job that I got I walk all the time and the are perfect. Not like the heavy clumpy ones that I had before. Thanks a lot for a great and comfortable shoe.

I work in a automotive shop - these shoes are amazing. I have worn them 3 years running. The soles do not melt, they protect my feet and last 9-12 months a pair -- the best.

Very comfortable shoes for those who are on their feet for the entirety of their workday. Great support, non-slip soles are excellent, and they don't get too warm. Steel toe is a neat feature, though I really didn't need it myself.

Very lightweight for a steel-toe shoe. Had to get a half-size larger, but plenty of toe room; no pinching like with some steel-toed shoes. Comfortable for walking with good arch support. Nice non-skid soles. Extra pair of stretch laces a nice touch. I wear these six days a week for work as a courier for a major overnight delivery company and get excellent wear and durability. Also they dry quickly in inclement weather.

Great work shoe. No-nonsense black leather, steel toe, and non-slip soles. Overall, an excellent shoe. The only downsides I could find are that the soles pick up everything from floor surfaces that aren't smooth and polished, and that the insoles that came with the shoes are not very comfortable. Other than that, I can sometimes feel the top of the toe box, but I think that's more my feet than the shoe.

This shoe is perfect for what I needed. It is lighter than the other shoe I sent back, has the athletic style I like, and much more comfortable that the other shoe. Spent more money for the Skecher but it was worth it.

This work shoe is the best! So comfortable you almost forget it is a steel toe work shoe. This is my second pair and only because I accidentally cut the leather upper on my first pair, and it continued to rip from then on. Ordering from Zappos.com was a great online shopping experience. The website process was simple and quick!

The shoes are excellent. I had them now for about a month and cannot find any issues with them. They are a good looking shoe too. Maybe there is something, the fact that you can get hot in them, so if you live in a hot climate you may reconsider. I sweat a lot, so i got some boric acid to put inside the shoes, just in case. It works really well. Just add some every week and your feet won\'t stink.\r\n As in for shipping it wasn\'t all as fast as expected after reading the reviews, but I do live in Canada so it is further to go.

If you have to wear safety shoes inside on concrete and steel, these will help your feet. I got a 1/2 size larger than my normal size and use athletic socks. They feel great. Zappos sent them in one day!

Very impressed with this shoe. Very sturdy and well made. I work on my feet all day and this shoe is comfortable. The soles are slip resistant and have a lot of grip. They also look great. They are a tad heavy due to the steel toe.

I love my Sketchers Work Soft Stride work shoes. I stand on concrete floors all day and my feet and legs feel wonderful at the end of the day. The service from Zappos is incredible! I got my shoes in 2 days and they're great. Thank you Zappos! This website rocks!

These shoes are the best! I bought these shoes for my husband, for work, Grocery Manager. He's on his feet all day and is prone to dropping heavy things on his feet. He says they get a bit uncomfortable in the toes if he's wearing them at work for more than 10 hours, but otherwise, he loves them! The steel in the toe area has already saved him a couple times from broken toes! He also likes the way they look. Definitely will buy again if/when he needs a new pair.

I searched everywhere for a size 12 medium Skecher work shoe in tan. I have a narrow foot, Zappos had a pair, there was free shipping, the price was cheaper than the outlet stores & they came within 5 business days. I will definitely use you again.

When I first got my Skechers out of the box, the horribly strong new rubber smell was nauseating. Moreover, the first day I wore them to work they made my feet burn. I thought I had made a mistake and was going to send them back. BUT, I am glad I gave them another chance! I set them aside a couple of days and noticed the rubber smell had dissipated quite a bit. I tried them once more and they felt great! I wear them every workday now and I am really pleased. They fit great and have great support. They are my favorite pair of shoes now. I suspect I was just sensitive to the rubber adhesive, and now they have “seasoned” a bit. I plan to get another pair. I hope Skechers makes the same shoe minus the steel toe, as I need to pass through a metal detector every day.

Best work shoes for my job -
I work at a large resort as a bicycle mechanic and rental attendant. I need a slip resistant steel toe shoe that looks good. This shoe fits the bill and beyond. The fit was perfect for my feet to the point I never think about them. I never got that new shoe itch that many other shoes cause no matter the price point.

Worth your money -
I really enjoy these shoes. A little time to break them in but after that they are really comfortable, and the steel toe is great and saved me some pain today when I dropped a big piece of steel on my foot in my welding class. And the shipping is great I ordered them at night and the next day when I got back from class they had arrived.

I spend 10 hours a day, for 4 days a week on my feet. I wouldn't recommend these shoes if you do the same. Shoes are heavy because of steel toe, but not uncomfortably heavy. I avoid tying my laces up to the top. I usually am on the mid upper eyelets as the shoe tongue hurts my feet when tied all the way. There is some heel cushion but not enough for me. The steel toe presses against my small toes and the pain can be intense.
