This is a nice fitting shoe that has no arch support. The insoles are removable, so problem is solved with a different insole. Sadly, the inside seam forward, near the toe guard, has separated after less than a dozen wears in ordinary walking conditions.

I bought these for my husband who is required to wear steel toe for work. He loved the way these looked. But, the "toe box" was too small. My husband doesn't have wide feet, but these shoes squeezed his toes. After two days, he had sores from his toes rubbing against the shoes. They weren't as light as we expected. Granted, they are lighter than some steel toe boots, but still pretty heavy for the size of the shoe. Overall, we are very disappointed in Skechers. Zappos, however, is awesome!

These shoes fit and were very comfortable. The durability is terrible and the traction was "ok". After about 3 months using them, the sole had almost come completely off one of them and the other was on the way too. These are more of a fashion statement with a steel toe thrown in for... who knows why.

I’ve had these shoes for a little less than a month now and they are already falling apart. On top of that, the slip resistant soles are dangerous in wet or cold climates. I can’t even wear them for work because the soles shoot out from under me. I would not recommend these shoes to anybody in a cold weather environment, but they are light for steel toed and they are fairly comfortable.

Most uncomfortable shoe on the Planet -
These shoes made my feet hurt. I tried to give them a chance, but after a solid week of pain, in the trash can they went. I need a wide shoe, these are wide, but no, I mean no arch support. My advice, look for something else.

My husband LOVES these shoes!
My spouse was looking for a pair of new tennis shoes to wear around when he wasn't at work. He found these and they fit his style, but he didn't pay attention to the fact that they were steel-toed. He loves them because they are comfortable and obviously durable. Now, when our toddler steps on his toes, he doesn't feel a thing.

Great work shoes -
I bought these shoes to wear at work. I deliver to restaurants all day and the kitchen floors can be slippery. With these shoes I never have a problem on the greasy floors. They are fairly light weight for steel toes also. I would highly suggest these shoes for someone who works on their feet all day.

Take some time to get broken in, but fairly comfortable -
I need wide shoes, and finally found wide enough steel toes in these Skechers. They needed to be broken in, but now they are pretty comfortable.

Soft Stride 4 E width -
I have not worn steel toes in many years. I wear NB 600 series 4 E width and was concerned that I would not find a comfortable wide shoe with a good arch support. I work 9 hour days and forget I am wearing a steel toe shoe. They are listed as 24 oz but I do not notice the weight. These are great.

The surprising shoe -
I had to replace the insoles with Spenco insoles, something I have to do with almost all the shoes I buy, but the shoe has been excellent otherwise.
I will buy it again.

Work shoes that truly work!
I'm constantly searching for well-made, comfortable, and durable work shoes for my hard-to-fit husband, size 14EEEE. Years of working on his feet in under-supportive footwear have increased this difficulty, resulting in frequent complaints of foot and/or knee pain.
Consequently, we are thrilled to have discovered the 'Skechers Work Soft Stride'. The first indication that we'd found a solid product was the internal support, which conformed to his feet so well that it negated his need to use his orthotics. After a week of wearing his new shoes, he noticed that his foot and knee pain had disappeared. As a test, he wore a previous brand to work for one day, and the discomfort instantly returned. Clearly, the uniform support of the Sketchers shoe made all the difference.
I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone, for work or relaxation.

Working for a delivery service can be brutal on your feet. These steel-toed shoes provide protection while still being comfortable. I wish there was a little more arch support, but that's my problem, not the shoe. Traction is very good. I will definitely buy these shoes again.

Not super heavy, steel toes does some rubbing on the edges that takes some breaking in, overall good and supportive.

In short the shoes I ordered came to me in record time. I'm pleased to be able to buy online and have them here the next day if not the 2nd day after being ordered. These shoes are much more comfortable than the previous shoes I ordered. They were the same kind, cost more, and were heavier in nature on my feet. These shoes are much lighter on my feet causing less fatigue being on my feet for 10+ hours on the job.

Quality work shoe -
Only the test of time will tell, but these seem like durable shoes. The non-slip tread works to perfection, trust me, I wear them everyday in a kitchen. They aren't so much a size too big as just really roomy. I bought a sole insert and they fit much better.
I'd also recommend:

Nice shoe, (a little hot, traction looks week)
I really like this shoe.
I have worn timberlands in the past (really good shoe) and also the Harley tennis shoe ( which was great)
I didn't like the extreme heat inside the shoe. I almost turned them back in because of this. I did find out that keeping the laces loose helps them to ventilate.
The traction looks pretty week on the bottom, but they seem o.k. so far.
I have worn them to work on aircraft in a hanger and I felt they were a little hot.
I have also worn them on a new house construction site in the winter time and thought they were great. I would say it is a pretty good construction shoe for the winter time.

I like everything about these shoes except for the soles. If you get them even slightly wet, you will easily slip. If you work on ladders often, do not buy these. They have horrible traction!

This shoe is very comfortable. However, I've had this shoe for 1 month and the stitching in the front is loose. Skechers need to redesign the making of the shoe.

Large holes started to form in the leather where the sides of the shoes met the soles after only 50 days of use. I have never had shoes wear out on me so quickly, even ones that cost half as much as these.

I ordered half a size larger and it was perfect, the EE width is true to size, I put in orthotic sole inserts and they have preformed at work well. I put in approximately 59,000 steps a week. I am not easy on work shoes. I work outside in the mud, dirt and rain. They are slip resistant pulling 2K with a pallet jack up hill in a trailer. These shoes has no arch support to speak of.

I have been wearing these shoes for about a month and they are very comfortable. The leather is soft when they arrive and do not require a break in period. The size was right on, too.

Bought these to replace my old Skechers (which lasted quite a while). As a firefighter paramedic I needed a safety toe shoe and wanted something low and non boot. After having them for about 1 month I can tell you that these are awesome. Very comfy and look great. They are heavy but at 6'4 255, I don't really notice them when they are on my feet. The sole is very grippy considering they don't appear to have much traction. They run true to size.
I've received a lot of compliments since I've been wearing them. I highly recommend these if you're in the market for a safety toe athletic style shoe.

I am a photographer and I work in factories/shops quite often on shoots. In opposition to wearing the horribly uncomfortable over-the-shoe protectors for 10 hours, I opted to suck it up and purchase a pair of reinforced-toe shoes. So far, I cannot speak for the durability of these shoes; I've only had them on one shoot. However, the quality seems very high, and the comfort is incredible. I have orthopedic insoles in most of my shoes for back pain and these shoes without any additional inserts were extraordinarily comfortable throughout the entire shoot. My feet felt incredible (even better than wearing my favorite Reeboks all day!). They are not the prettiest things, but they are VERY comfortable and the price is an extreme value. Again, I can't speak for the durability except that they seem to be put together well just by inspection.
