I probably got the last pair of oxblood/cordovan boots in Ecco's GTX Berlin style. They have been everything I have become accustomed to expect from Ecco, and more. Light feeling, with plenty of toe movement in the box, so you feel like you can walk the city streets for miles. More, in that these are warm (with nice wool socks) and keep thy feet quite dry in all kinds of rain and slush. And better yet, look darn sharp! So people: demand to wear more than black (not saying black's not cool, but come on!) And at whatever rate, these boots are worth it even at the price!

I still wear my first pair of Ecco GTX boots that I bought 10 years ago when the weather is cold, rainy, or snowy, since they are insulated and water-proof. I bought the new pair for special occasions until the old pair wear out. They are great year round, but awesome for winter because they keep my feet warm and dry no matter how bad the weather.

Stylish, good looking boot. Best for dress occasions, but can also be worn with jeans for casual wear. Good fit and very comfortable. Soft, smooth leather and well constructed.

Perfection! The boots look great and feel great. With all the walking that I do, they provided just the right level of support and comfort to keep my feet happy.

I bought a pair of these a few years ago from an Ecco store and consider them an outstanding investment. They're pricey boots, but totally waterproof and extremely comfortable. Definitely make Canadian winters much more bearable. My only hang up with these shoes is that the little tab on the back of them tends to catch the bottom of the pant leg so that you need to deliberately pull the pants over the boot after sitting down so you don't look like a dork.

Not the best looking, but definitely the most comfortable of all the shoes and boots I own. I bought these right before a trip to Eastern Europe and I walked 8 hours a day for a couple of weeks...they saved my life. Being waterproof helped immensely. They are warm, the soles have better grip in the wet than hiking boots, and they have lasted almost three years now. I can't say enough about the quality of these boots. Too bad they look like Frankenstein shoes.

This was a surprisingly light and flexible boot with a lot of comfort and support. I was not familiar with the size 44 (10-10.5) So in a sense it may be true to size. Regardless, I'm going to have a hard time sending these gorgeous boots back. Maybe if there was a size 43? Guess my search continues.

I bought these for a man who is picky and hard to fit. He loves them! Great arch support and shock absorption. Expensive but worth it.

Great boot! I loved it! I have always owned Rockports and it was quite the ordeal for me to find a more unfashionable substitute. Ecco is awesome! A new favorite. One problem, though, with Zappos: I ordered the boots, and they came to me and felt weird. It was also strange that there was no literature or tag attached to the boots. It turns out they had put two different sizes (a right 45 and a left 46) in the box that had clearly been tried on by someone else and mixed together. They fixed the problem very quickly, but it was unusual and disappointing, none-the-less.

Absolutely the perfect boot! Very versatile for both business and casual attire. Incredibly light-weight, yet very durable and well-crafted. The waterproofing is an added bonus!

I bought this shoe for a winter dress shoe. I wore it on a November trip to New York City where there was mixed weather and I had to do a lot of walking. It was comfortable, dry and to my eye, good looking. It fit perfectly with my orthotic. Usually, business trips to NYC leave my feet tired and sore. Not this time.

This is by far the most comfortable and versatile shoe I have ever owned. I travel quite a bit and these befit jeans or a suit and they make great walking shoes to boot. I am on my third pair. My only complaint is that the sole will split in the middle if you bend at the toe too far and too frequently.

I already had two pair of ECCOS before buying these - a dress shoe and a pair of Walkathons. Both have been excellent shoes. My feet get really hot in all types of shoes. My ECCO dress shoes are the only ones I've ever owned that didn't make my feet hot. That being said, I needed a dress boot for the winter, and ECCO was the obvious choice for me. These have been wonderful boots; been in snow and slush when traveling up North without any problems. I highly recommend this boot for people who have hot feet and / or need a winter dress shoe.

Very comfortable right out of the box and kept my feet warm and dry during several days of walking around in snow and slush. Quality seems high and they look good with jeans or slacks.

Excellent boot; comfortable all day. Also, it looks great (stylish, not clunky). Lightweight yet sturdy. Can wear with jeans, a suit or anything in between. Has a high polish. I found that this boot runs true to size, so I would not necessarily recommend ordering a size up. I'm a 43, and a size 43 in this boot fits perfectly. Good waterproofing for Minnesota winters.

I love this boot. This is the first dressed up boot that I have worn from ECCO, and I have always loved the hiking boots. It is so much lighter than the hiking boots, but almost as comfortable, and looks great. I like a ton of arch support, so I bought new insoles, but I do that for any boot I wear. Really love it, and it is still holding up great after a year and a half.

My husband has worn these shoes as a medical student\/intern where he has to be on his feet all day without resting. He used to complain about having his feet hurt and has tried many different popular brands of shoes that doctors use, but nothing has worked. This is the only one that looks good enough to be a dress shoe and is comfortable, even if you\'re in them all day and on call at night. He recommends the shoe to anyone who asks about them. They do run a bit large so it is worth trying them on before you take off the tags.

I've been using ECCO shoes for years. I find they are the best value in terms of comfort and durability. This particular boot, in addition to ECCO quality, is waterproof. It felt like it was made for my feet from the moment I first tried it on. After a long day at work wearing these boots, I don't feel like I can't wait to take them off. I wish many other companies took notice and realized that footwear should be comfortable and durable in addition to looking good. I definitely think it's worth the extra money.

Wow, these shoes are not only Ecco comfortable but dressy as well. I have worn them every day since receiving them in all kinds of weather and they have kept my feet dry, warm and comfortable. I've always wanted an Ecco boot and these make me want another pair as well. Can't go wrong with these boots.

Already had a pair in black, bought the brown because I like them so much. Nice enough to wear with a suit in the winter, which I do. Best comfort for extensive walking in the city - larger cut is perfect for accommodating orthotics. Worth the price, as I wear either the black or brown every day when it's cold. Will remove the tabs to keep from holding my pant cuffs up (most boots do this), they're not needed.

Wanted a comfortable, stylish ankle boot to wear with business casual clothes. Far surpassed my expectations. Extremely comfortable from first wear. Waterproof wasn't a selling point but I've found myself putting these on for rainy days and they are fantastic. Bought another pair of Ecco shoes based on my reaction to these. Expensive, but worth it. As other reviewers have stated, these run about a size larger than normal.

Great dress winter boot. Love it. Follow the advice of getting a 1/2 size smaller. It’s true.

Excellent, versatile boot. I\'ve worn them in full winter conditions, and they have kept my feet dry and held up well. Perfect for business casual and casual clothes in cold and wet seasons. The profile is subtle enough that they resemble regular shoes, yet the boot fends off the snow and wet. Easy on and off and comfortable. Not a good choice for the beach, boardroom, or hunting expedition, but they\'ll get you through most everything else.
