Not enough tread on the bottom for me. Wanted these for snow and also for walking in the winter.

I bought these great looking boots last year but didn't get to the snow till this last weekend. They are waterproof and can take the snow but get near any little bit of ice and you're on your butt. I was walking my dogs and one was pulling a bit, I couldn't stay on my feet fell (luckily on my butt) and finally just let the dogs go and walked in the snow. I put my John Fleuvog heavy duty boots on and I had no problem.

Because of the construction of the leather inside the boot, I could not even get my foot in the boot. I was very disappointed as they were cute boots.

This boot was very challenging to get my foot into, even after loosening up the laces. When I finally got my foot to pop in the boots fit great. Again, the challenge was to get my foot back out of the boot. I also found the boots to be kind of heavy and clunky for my taste.

I REALLY wanted these boots to work for me, they are so very cute, well made, look toasty warm. They were very hard to get my foot into as I have a high instep - I would have gladly overlooked this issue if they fit otherwise. They were not comfortable and rubbed the little toe on my right foot. I changed into a lighter weight sock but they still were not comfortable with little to no arch support. So very disappointed I had to return them.

These were kind of uncomfortable. The sole isn't very flexible so it makes a weird sucking sound and feels like walking through water. The top is also a bit inflexible so it digs a little into the top of your foot. The fur lining the top takes up a lot of space and rub together as you walk. If they were half the price I could live with these features, but given the price, I'll be returning them.

I loved the look of these boots and was hoping they would withstand the cold and snow of Minnesota winters. Once I got them on, they felt a little snug. The BIG problem was it took nearly thirty minutes of tugging to get them on my feet. I nearly threw my back out getting these things on, and getting them off nearly killed me. They are in desperate need of a side zip or something. Too bad. Back to the land of zappo they go. :(

I have high arches, and these boots will not work for me. With a GREAT amount of effort, I could *just* get a boot on my left foot. The boot feels warm and secure. It hugs my foot just right. It’s a bit roomy in the heel, but the boot seemed to hold my heel in place without slipping. The tongue is shorter than the rest of the boot, but I think the gusset would make it workable. However, I could not physically get the boot on my right foot. Even with the laces completely loosened, the boot is stitched in such a way that I could not push my arch through the opening. So sad! Had to return.

These boots are SO cute, and they look like they'd be really warm too. Problem is, I can't even get my feet into them! I have somewhat of a high arch and despite unlacing them all the way down I just can't squeeze my foot into them. Even if I could shove it in (which would hurt) I know that this will drive me crazy all winter. So I have to return them.

Bought these because they look more stylish than my Kamik's and for sure they are. But... sadly they really aren't comfortable. They lace up rather than with a bungee, which for me is a negative. The footbed is contiguous with the liner and the fur. (My old boots had a removable liner that I swapped with an Ugg shearling insole making it super comfy, but these Sorel boots can't allow for that without making the boot feel too small.) Also, there is no way I could wear them barefoot. Just 10 minutes trying them on and I was already getting a blister from the suede of the tongue area bunching together, and even with a sock on it was still noticeable. I'm not ready to sacrifice this much comfort for the style. Returning.

These are cute boots but not very practical. I live in MA and was looking for boots to wear in a lot of snow. I had 3 main issues with these. 1) They are almost impossible to put on and almost as hard to take off. It would get old real quick having to deal with these. They don't even have a tab to help pull them on. 2) The liner has a seam running along the length of the back. The boot also contours in at the ankle. These two things combined made that seam rub pretty hard on my achilles, even through socks and jeans. 3) They are big enough to make you walk like you are wearing ski boots. This I could have dealt with if not for the other two issues.

Cute and warm. However, the gray runs a little large - I'd say about half-size. And, weirdly, the black runs a half-size SMALL. I ordered a 9.5 in both pairs. Needless to say, I have to return both and gamble with the size of the reorder, since clearly the sizing is inconsistent!

These were cute boots still thinking of keeping them. They have a thick wool like insert. It doesn't come out or go in easy. They feel true to size and are warm but my toes were still cold in 28 degree and snow. The only problem with this boot is that the sole is so thin it you can push on it and actually see your finger moving it from the outside. Every little pebble felt huge.

I have had these boots for some time now and have tested them through the New York winters. As for warmth and dryness, they have held up well. One big gripe about the fit/comfort is that they will rub against the Achilles heel when walking. So unless you are wearing long and thick socks, these boots will cause blisters and pain.

I wear a 6.5 shoe, ordered a 7, could not get my foot into the boot past the super tight ankle.

The description states that the boots run big and there is plenty of room for thick socks and recommends to size down if in between sizes. I'm a solid 7.5 but disregarded their instructions and ordered a 7.5 anyway. I could barely get my foot in and my big toe was touching the top of the shoe! I'm seriously debating if I'll need an 8... or an 8.5. I've never bought an 8.5 in my life. It's so frustrating because I don't want to go through the return and repurchase process (Sorel doesn't offer exchanges). Very frustrating situation to be in for an expensive pair of boots. Sorel, please seriously do some QA on your sizing or at least update your description to say your boots run extremely small.

They are very difficult to put on. The heel ankle area is very very tight making it hard to insert your foot.

Loved the style. Bad pain across the top of my foot. It is a shame because these would have been perfect for Wisconsin winters. These were returned. Trying Joan of Arctic Next. Hoping for less pain on top of foot.

Nothing about this boot met my expectations! So bummed because they "look" like they are gonna be great. I'm from Maine, there's lots of snow and ice. There is zero traction in this boot, the tread is flat and hard (they even slipped on the carpet). I could hardly get my foot through the ankle part of the boot- even when the boot was loosened all the way. I don't have weird or giant feet! The faux fur was very cheap looking too. Footbed was flat and non supportive. Kind of disappointed because Sorel is usually a great brand.

I really, really wanted these to work. I LOVE the look and they seemed perfect for what I wanted: warm shoes to put on w/jeans, leggings or anything else and not worry about them. But - that wasn't going to happen with these. First, they were nearly impossible to get on! The area around the ankle (shaft?) was like concrete. I have normal width feet - usually wear 7 1/2 sized shoes. Even if I loosened all of the laces, these were like a workout trying to get them on. The laces have nothing to do w/the shaft area so it wouldn't have mattered - but I was desperate to like these. After almost 10-15 minutes to try and get these on, they felt SO cumbersome - like I couldn't walk. I can't figure that out - except maybe they get softer after you wear them - assuming someone could ever get them on! I have two other pair of Sorel shoes which I love. But these were impossible to wear because I couldn't get my feet into them w/out scraping or bruising my entire ankle area.
