I ordered a 9.5, which is my typical shoe size. In the past, a 9 in Sorel's would fit me, and a 10 would be too big. I could barely get this boot on, given my high instep. This has not been my experience with Sorel boots in the past. I'm ordering a 1/2 size larger in the hopes that it will work out.

I gave five stars even though I had to order another pair a half size up. I’m a solid 9.5, but I had to order a 10, as they just felt a bit short in the toe box. I also prefer the 12” shaft.

Great winter boots! I live in NH and these boots keep my feet nice and warm. They are cute, too!

These were virtually impossible to put on they were so tight across the top of the foot.

I should have listened to the review that said they couldn't get their foot into the boot. I have high arches (not that high) and it took me a small workout to get my foot into the boot. I bought my usual size and had felt confident from the other reviews. I also have wide calves , which is how I found this style boot (some online lists had rated it excellent for wide calves. it is not). Let me clarify. the cute floof around the top edge doesn't go all the way around and the floof accentuates the wideness of your calf.

I’m usually a 9 and ordered such, very hard to get on at first but loosened quickly. My toes still felt a little cramped but the reason I had to return them is they curved up so much at the toe (which did not change over time) that my feet were at unnatural angles the whole time I wore them. Felt so much relief taking them off. Cute style, easy to lace, and very warm but ultimately my feet don’t curve up at the end.

I have feet that are I guess on the wider side as I sometimes find shoes to be too narrow, this is not the case with these. However I don't feel they'd be too wide for a smaller foot either. Width wise they're fine plus they're a nasty weather shoe so you could always pick different socks to make them work. They are warm and I've had no issues with them living up to the "waterproof" claim. After 2 years my boots look great and there's no wear and tear. I've seen a couple reviews about them being hard to get on and this was true for me as well the first few times I wore them, the ankle is tight and solid.

I am 5'11 and wear between a W11 and W12. I purchased the Sorel Joan of Arctic in a Women's size 12. It felt 1/2 a size too large. The Joan of Arctic is very comfortable, and the boot is about an inch taller than the comparable Merrell Thermo Aurora 2. The Joan of Arc has a wider toe box and the boot seems to have plenty of warmth. There is no side zipper, but the boots are easy to cinch up with the laces. For me, picking out snowboots is like picking out snow tires. You need very good tread, especially in super cold temperatures where there may be icy surfaces beneath your feet. This boot did not seem to have enough tread for me to feel confident on all surfaces, and with the wider toe box, they felt a little clunky. If you are buying these to trudge through deep freshly fallen snow and you need to keep your feet warm, these likely are a good choice. These are going back for me as I have more confidence in the fit and Vibram sole of the Merrell.

I can’t give a proper review just yet. It’s still Autumn so I haven’t use them. Sorry. I will update when I do. It was a bit difficult getting it on but I’m hoping that will change with time as I break it in (It’s not being returned anyway).

Could barely even get my foot into boot- even after loosening the laces. - might be suitable for a very narrow foot - I do not want to have to spend too much time contorting my feet to try & get them into any boot

I love these boots! I had a pair in black years ago and wore them out, I'm so happy to have another pair, don't know what I was waiting for, they were/and are about to be the most comfortable, warm and winter-weather proof boots I've ever had.

I love the look of these boots! I had to go up a 1/2 size beyond my running shoe size (I like a roomy running shoe), to provide enough room for my toes, especially if I want to wear a thicker sock. They are not as warm as I would have expected (there is another brand that starts with a U that are immediately warm when you put them on). I haven't worn them much yet and a bit concerned about a fold rubbing the back of one of my legs, about an inch above the ankle...I'll be sure to wear with jeans underneath until they are broken in a bit. Really happy to find them in the off white color.

I don’t know about size or fit because neither I nor my daughter could get a foot through the throat of the boot. We have both worn Joan of Arctic’s before, but a design change made it impossible to get our high-arched feet into the boot.

I love sorel boots and these were no exception. I wear a size 11 and they were true to size. Very warm, cute, and comfortable.

Kept my feet warm, very comfortable, but not great on ice.

The boots looked so cute on, but had to return because they were so uncomfortable. They were shaped almost like snowboard boots and made walking normally difficult. Similar to other reviews, I found that the back of my heel didn't touch the back of the boot and the back poked into my ankle so I worried that I would get blisters. I had ordered two different styles of Sorel boots and kept the other pair which were significantly more comfortable.
