I'd read the reviews that these run large. I wear a 6.5-7. I ordered a 6. A bit too small. Will exchange for 6.5.
At first, I thought maybe it was just that the ankle area was snug and was pulling my socks so that the toes of my socks were what seemed small. But I tried them on without socks and I could feel the toe of the boot. So while they do run large, for me they definitely don't run a full size large. I'm guessing 6.5 will fit me so they run on the edge of my normal range, rather than having to jump down.
The waiting begins anew.

I have been wearing Sorel boots for years. I purchased a pair for my husband who has never had a pair before. He is VERY excited for his toes to stay warm and dry this winter! He really likes the quality of the boot and knows they are going to be his go to for many years to come! He wears a size 11 shoe, he thought he was going to need an 11.5, I told him they are true to size. Sure enough, 11 is perfect even if he needs to put a heavier sock!

The best boots I have ever owned. I do snow removal, and my feet never have been wet or cold in the five seasons that I have owned them.

I asked for these boots last Christmas (2014) I used them numerous times last year and today we had our first huge snowfall of the year and they keep my feet dry and warm. I am very happy with the design and build of these boots. I would definitely recommend them if you have heavy snowfall. They are slightly heavy due to the rubber soles but not unmanageable. I have the buff color and they are true to the picture.

These boots are awesome. This is my 2nd pair. Perfect for Wisconsin winters and cold Green Bay Packer games! Light weight and very warm. The only reason I bought this pair is because I liked the color. I've had the buff color for over 10 years and they are just like new. Love these boots!

Lived in MI all my life and have yet to find boots that keep my feel warm. The next couple months will tell if I've found my pair! The boots feel great on my feet due to the thickness of the liner. The soles of the boots will keep your feet off the ground a good inch or more so I'm hoping for warmth!

I was really concerned about these boots because although they look gorgeous in pics a number of reviewers said they were heavy. I'm petite, 5'2 and they aren't heavy at all. Sturdy perhaps which is exactly what I need to ensure I don't fall in the snow and ice during one of Boston's increasingly common crazy blizzard winters. These boots are warm, stylish and I feel good in them. Pleased I invested in these. I'm tired of replacing Uggs every year.

These are the best boots I have ever, and will probably ever own. They are comfortable, waterproof, good looking, and well build. They are so solid I feel as if I could go hiking on a snowy mountain, and my feet wouldn't feel a drop of water.
I have wide size 13 feet, and its very difficult for me to find shoes. Though these are 12s, they can fit very comfortably, with some room left. They are also a bit clunky, but thats to be expected with heavy winter boots like this.
The last NY winter was awful, and completely destroyed my shoes. Now I cant think l of how I could survive without these boots.

Have them for 16yrs. Just wear them when I sell at the farmers market each year.Make sure you wear woolen socks
and your feet will never feel cold again.

I live in New England. After Sorel was recommended to me over a popular pair of boots by a well-known Northern New England outdoor clothing / boot manufacturer from one of their own staff - I knew I had to get a pair. Massachusetts was buried in snow during the 2014-15 winter season. Defeated, I bought these boots at the end of January thinking it was impulsive - we would not get much more snow, and I was wrong! We got crushed! These boots were everything I needed to get through this brutal winter. I never slipped in them, never got water in them, they were perfect! I ordered shale, and the color is beautiful too! They're a bit on the heavy side - but that's necessary for the quality and performance. They run a little large - but that is key to being able to wear a pair of good wool socks, and also to tuck loose pant legs into. Plus, they look good as new even after the abuse they took. I can tell I have many, many more winters using my Sorel Caribou Boots. Best impulse buy ever!

Be advised that these boot's run a full size large. If you are normally an 7 across the board, order a 6. As long as you order the correct size, these boot's are comfortable, warm & waterproof. A little heavy, but depending on what you're doing, that may not be a bad thing.

No boot I have ever owned matches these boots for sub zero NY weather.
It gives me confidence on the worst days that at least my feet wont freeze or get cold when I leave the protection of the house.
Sorel, its my Go to Boot.

I bought a man's boot as I have a very wide foot and I was extremely pleased with this boot. I was out in below zero weather in Alaska for 10 days and never had cold feet! Highly recommend this boot.

Bought these for my girlfriend after a brutally cold snowmobiling trip to Vt. a few weeks ago. Her old boots couldn't handle the subzero temps. Record cold & snow in the NE this winter. Went back to Vt. last weekend for another trip and her feet were so warm & toasty she was running around in the deep white stuff like a little girl again. These boots are WARM, comfortable & stylish!

I just recently moved back to Cape Cod from Orange County so you can imagine my surprise with the crazy cold artic freezes and snow we have gotten this 2015 winter season. I've been wearing a pair of wellies with the fleece sock insert and my feet have been so cold I couldn't take it any longer!!!!!
I have been on the hunt for a snow boot that would be durable and warm. I saw a girl in dunkin donuts with a pair of Joan of arcs from Sorel so I got to researching. Then I went to visit my friend and she had the caribou boots, I tried them on and I was in love.
So I came to Boston today to buy some boots!!!! I found the caribou in the Grey color which Im obsessed with and they fit amazing. I'm usually a size 7-7.5 but I got the 7 and it fits great with my thick winter socks. The durability of these boots are amazing, they do feel heavy but you get use to it and they are extremely warm. I am totally in love with these boots and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality and durability.

I have only worn them once but that one time was great. I felt the size was perfect and the fit for my feet was great. Haven't worn them in the super cold yet, but I know that they will be perfect because I have my original pair that I bought when I was 18 and now I am 62 and they still are great.
thanks,

I live in NE Oklahoma, and most know that our weather is unpredictable to say the least. This winter my outside chores doubled and covers about 10 acres of walking. so this year i decided to be prepared (least amount of snow in years), but i was ready. i researched for 2 months before deciding on the Caribou. so glad i did because these boots are awesome. i ordered a 7 (my true size) and they are roomy enough for thick socks but not a must. i did find that if i leave my muddy boots out in the cold it takes forever for my feet to warm up so now i keep them by the heater till i need them. They are excellent on ice, no slipping at all. i have not had the deep snow this year to try them out but have confidence they will work out great. They are a little heavy but that should be expected in a boot of this type. I found the weight to my advantage in keeping sure footing and when they are laced all the way they are great for hiking on uneven terrain. as i love to do ! :) In summary these boots are not for the faint at heart, they are a serious boot for serious outdoor conditions. So if you are looking for a heavy duty durable dependable boot Sorel is the place to go. And they are cute cute cute

I purchased these boots after the 6+ feet of snow in Boston this winter. The boots keep my feet completely dry and super warm. I'm typically a 6 1/2 and a size 6 fits great. They are a bit clunky, but a small sacrifice for the functionality. They still look cute too!

These boots are absolutely perfect. I initially ordered a size 7 based on my foot's measurement compared to the sizing chart the site provides but they were very loose. I exchanged for a size 6 and they were a perfect fit. Super warm and very comfy. They are a little clunky but it's something you'll get used to after a few times of wearing them. Very stylish yet extremely practical. Thanks, Sorel!

I ordered these just in time for the wave of blizzards that hit the east coast and they were perfect! My feet were nice and toasty trudging through snow in -20 F temps. They fit true to size with the thick wool socks I wore with them. And as an added bonus, they are ridiculously cute and comfortable. As some other reviewers mentioned, they are a little bit heavier than the average boot, but that's to be expected with such a well-made and weather-proof boot. They sure made this first-time Sorel boot wearer a loyal customer!

These snow boots are so incredibly warm. They have heavy duty tread on the bottoms to get you through anything. The liner is removable making it easy to dry and clean. They make my feet look large, but that's the charm of snow gear!

I've been looking for a boot that doesn't leave me soaked after walking through the snow, as my hiking boots do, in the winter. After reading a number of the reviews on this site, I was concerned about these running too large and ordering too many sizes down. I am a 9 in heels and in sneakers, and prefer a wide fit for dress shoes. I ordered the regular women's 8 as soon as it became available, even though many recommended going down 2 sizes. The size 8 boot fits me just fine. A size 7 would be too small. I don't have any issue with the thickness of the liner, and I think if I did order the thicker one, as some other reviewers did, this might be too tight a fit with thick, wool socks. I'm very pleased with the sturdiness of the boot overall and its warmth, particularly after climbing over steep snow piles and enduring low single-digit temps this year. I'm hopeful these will last me for a lifetime.
