These boots have been great so far. They're waterproof and durable, yet not super difficult to walk in. They've done well in the first few snowfalls we've had that have turned to snow/slush/puddles/etc. And they're stylish as well. I am normally about a size 8 in most shoes, but I ordered an 8.5 initially based on other reviewers. I had to return the 8.5 and got a size 8. The 8 fits fine. I could probably have even gotten a size 7.5, but at least I'll be able to wear nice thick socks when it gets cold.

I live in Northern MN & these will be perfect for the winter! I wear an 8.5 & I bought an 8.5. I do have room to wigfle, but when I wear my thick wool socks....it'll be perfect! I'm excited to wear them in the 1.5ft of snow tomorrow.

Ordered 1/2 larger based on reviews and they were way too big. Normally wear 11 so ordered an 11.5 and probably need a 10.5

Had to return the first pair, because my husband wanted enough room for heavy socks. We didn't need the extra length,so I reordered a smaller size!! The construction and quality are Good!! The size 7 are very comfortable and perfect fit!!Bring on the cold!!

I got my first Sorel Caribous 25 years ago, and they have served me well through all those winters in Lake Tahoe. One of the leather D-ring flaps finally split this past winter, so I just ordered another pair to replace them. The only deep snow boots you'll ever need.

Bought the gray colored Caribou boot and wore it daily for a few years. It fells like a comfortable sneaker. No breaking in. Lived in the northeast U.S. and handled bitter cold and lots of snow. Never leaked. Kept feet dry and warm. (Sometimes I wore a foot warmer for the long days outside, so not sure if I really needed the warmer or not.) I sat in hockey rinks, participated in winter carnivals, walked dog several times a day. I lived outside in these for four months a year with snow and slush and mud. Whatever the winter throws, these boots can handle. These are not "ice-proof," however, the increased surface area, coupled with the tread, helped me stay cautiously steady on icy pavement and parking lots. If my boots were lost, I would replace them with the exact same Caribous.

So I started school where one of the items they kinda required is sub rated snow boots. A coworker recommended these and honestly I was really worried after reading some other reviews. I usually wear anything between a 9 and 10, and decided on the shale in 9.5. They are heavier than normal shoes, but I don't mind at all. It's not even winter yet and I can't wait to break these out. :D

I need boots for a typical Michigan rugged winter. Sorel boots provide nice and dry waterproofing. The bottom soles give excellent traction, even over ice. These boots keep my feet warm and snug.

I live in Vermont, and was in dire need of new winter boots this year. I needed something durable, waterproof, great in heavy snow, and that would keep my feet warm in weather -40F (which it drops to around here). The Caribou was the cutest boot that fit the requirements.. And I am super impressed with them! They have kept my feet dry and warm this entire winter season- even with all the outdoor hiking I do with my dog. The tread is great- grips well and is thick enough to keep a nice barrier between the frozen ground and my feet. But ladies, you have to realize- these are LARGE, CLUNKY, HEAVY boots! But that's what they are supposed to be! When you're in a blizzard with snow piling up and it's 10 degrees (or much colder!) out, you want boots like these, not slim stylish city boots. Nobody likes frostbite. I wear a 9 1/2 and that's what I ordered, but had to exchange for a 9. They run big. Only complaint is they are a little hard to get off- the lining always comes out when I pull my foot out. I have basically lived in these boots wearing them every day for 3 solid months now, and they have held up great. Plus, I think these look pretty cute with leggings or skinny jeans. Like a rugged snow bunny haha. Love the Buff color. A+.

Sorel boots are sturdy and comfortable. They ran big for me but that could be due to extra room for thick socks in cold weather. Didn't have time to exchange them before our Mammoth trip or I would have.

These boots are tremendous! Very warm, stylish, and well made. I can tell they will last a very long time. In fact, I have a very similar pair of Sorel boots that I purchased about 23 years ago that I still wear. I bought these because I wanted another pair. I highly recommend!

I bought the Caribou in black and it looks just like the photo. These boots are like bricks on your feet--you'll especially notice it if you are driving in them--but they definitely do the job and are good for if you've got deep snow. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 and am glad I did not listen to reviews telling me to buy a different size. I measured my feet and used the Sorel size translations, which told me I was a 7. The first time I wore them, it seemed tight but after one use, it was a very snug but not uncomfortable. As the boots are very heavy, I did not size up, because I worried then I would be tripping over my toes. Definitely am expecting a long life out of these shoes and would purchase again.

I love these boots already. They are super warm and comfortable for walking around on campus. I followed others advice and got a size smaller. My normal shoe size would be way too big. The size I got, a 6, was tight the first few days but are now stretched to the point where I can wear regular socks and still have wiggle room. I highly recommend them.

For 31 years, I have worn my Sorel boots.. I am thinking about buying another pair to replace my current pair. Not because I need to but I basically have worn them to the point, I need to. My boots still keep my toes warm. My only issue is that my original boots are White and I wish to have them in White again! Still pondering a purchase. Love Sorels...

I did a lot of research on snow boots and I was planning on investing in a pair of these however as it turns out I received them as a gift from a family member instead. They are wonderful! Yes, they are heavy. Yes, they are bulky. But they are waterproof and keep the snow out of my socks so I don't care about that. These are definitely not a boot that you are supposed to wear all day unless you are outside. I usually wear them to and from wherever I'm going and change my shoes once I get there. Since getting these we've had 3 significant snow storms and my feet have stayed dry and I haven't fallen on the ice. I wouldn't say that I've noticed an incredible difference in the traction however they allow me to walk on the snow easily if there is ice to avoid it. They definitely run big, the reviews all said to size down an entire size -- I chose to size down a half size and I have more than enough room in the toe area. I do have muscular calves so I think sizing down an entire size would've compromised the fit there and I'm not bothered by the fact that they are a little big. I'm 100% happy with these boots and confident that they will last me for many snowy winters in New England.

I had heard so many great things about these boots--all Sorel boots, really--but I wasn't sure I was ready to spend that much money on a pair of snow boots. I can tell you they are worth it! I recently moved to Chicago, and while it's been a very mild winter without a lot of snow, I am so glad I have had these boots. I have poor circulation, so my hands and feet are always cold. These boots keep my feet and toes warm. I sized down from a 10 to a 9. I also have very wide feet, but that wasn't an issue for these boots.

This was my first pair of Sorels and I'm so glad I got them! I went back and forth before I bought them because of the price, but decided it was worth it. I live in the midwest and have to walk all over campus to go to my classes so having my boots makes it a little more bearable. These boots are very practical for a college student or anyone else who has to walk a lot in the snow. They keep my feet warm and dry which is nice when the snow starts to melt and it turns to slush. They are a little heavy and bulky but it's something you get used to quickly. I talked to one of my high school teachers about whether I should get them or not and she told me she had the same boots when she went to school and they are worth every penny. She told me they lasted a long time and she still wears them to work on the farm in the winter. These boots are warm, keep my feet dry, true to size and they seem to last a long time for most. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone!

I bought these boots to keep my feet warm and dry throughout Colorado's winters. These are wonderful! My feet were actually hot while throwing snow on a 10 degree afternoon. If you want warm, waterproof, boot with great tread/traction, these are for you. I highly reccomend them.

I purchased these in a 9 instead of my usual 8.5 after speaking with a customer service representative. They fit like a dream. They are very comfortable, no rubbing or digging at the back of the ankles as is common in the Joan of Arctic boots from Sorel. I walk around campus in nasty blizzard conditions and have no problems with them. They are completely waterproof, extremely warm, a little on the heavier side but not enough to be annoying, and super stylish! I can't tell you how many people I have seen with Sorel boots on campus. EVERY time I go to class I spot at least three people with them. Us Northerners know our boots! Get them, you will love them forever and they will last forever.
