After sifting through countless reviews I decided to go with my normal size which was a 9. It fits but I think I could have Worn a 9.5 especially with ski socks or thicker socks; however I still have almost a 1/2" thumb width from the toe so I'm keeping them! I would Suggest though to size a 1/2" up if you will wear thicker socks. My ski socks are not overly thick.
I purchased The buff color and love the color! I did expect though from other reviews for them to be too clunky or look obnoxiously big; however they are the cutest snow boots I own now! I think they feel like I'm wearing tennis shoes not boots!I'm so happy I chose the buff color, because the buff color goes with anything, such as skinny jeans or worn with my ski gear to walk around in. I have Not had the opportunity to wear them in the snow but they are warm!

My husband regrettably had to retire his last pair of this boot, 30 years after he bought them. We are looking forward to the next 30 years with this pair!!

I used the steel toed caribou boot in the 1980's when I was in the Material Department of the BN Railroad in Minneapolis.
This caribou boot is the same but without the steel toe. It is very comfortable and does keep my feet warm.

I purchased these boots as I needed something with good tread so I wouldn't keep falling in any snow or ice. They are awesome!! They fit perfect. They keep my feet warm and dry. Totally worth the money spent on these. Just ordered my husband a pair also!!! You won't be disappointed.

These by far are the BEST snow boots I've ever had. Dry, warm, easy to take off and clean and great traction in the snow. My other pair were stolen at work (which were over 25 years old but looked like new) and I just had to get a new pair. Received just in time of our snow season and could not be happier. Love these boots. Never found another higher quality made boot that works this great.

I bought this boot for my boyfriend for Christmas (because I love my women's version so much) and they were HUGE on him - originally ordered a 10.5 mens. Ended up exchanging for a 9 and they were perfect. This is a timeless and functional boot.

The boot feels wonderful to put on, soft, easy on and off and very forming/comfortable. The boot is also very durable, waterproof and heavy duty. Best of both worlds and cannot say enough great things.

These boots are amazing! I bought them for my sons for our recent
trip to Iceland. We were outside snowmobiling in the glaciers all day and their feet stayed warm throughout the day. I highly recommend them! Thank you Sorel!

When I was 12, my Dad took me to the hardware store and bought me winter boots, a pair of Sorel pac boots. I loved them so much, I kept wearing them even thought they were too small for my feet. Many years later as an adult, I bought a new pair of boots, another brand. They were decent, but no where near what I expected and that was when I decided someday, I was going to get another pair of Sorels! Well after too many years, I finally order a new pair and got them. WOW! I am not sure what else to say! The quality is unmatched, they fit perfect, they kept the snow and water out and when I put my feet in them, they are so soft it feels like a hug! Thank you Sorel for continuing to make the best boots in the world!

These boots are awesome! SUPER warm and perfect for all types of winter weather! Fashion wise, I like there better than the Joan of Ark boots they work well with snow pants but also looks great with jeans and legging. They do run big, I did buy a size up and returned them as they were huge! I'm a true 7.5 and I still have room in them.

My husband has had a pair of these since the 1980's and they finally cracked on the back heel at the seam so we ordered a new pair. He said they were comfortable from the first day and the quality also looks to be just as high as in the 1980's.

Just received my caribou boots in the shale color and I LOVE them! I could not be happier. They are adorable and stylish and seem like they'll be able to keep my feet dry and warm in the snow. They are extremely comfortable and feel really sturdy. I was worried about which size to order but after reading a few reviews I decided to order half a size smaller. I normally were a 9 but I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Cannot wait to try these out in the snow!

This boot runs big. I ordered a 9. I'm usually between a 8.5-9 anyway, so I thought it would be ok. It was at least 2 sizes too big. I ordered an 8 and it fits perfectly! Keeps your feet warm and dry. Best boot I have ever owned.

I purchased these for my son. He walks to and from school (8 blocks, MN) and really likes the boots. They are tall, warm, and while heavy, that doesn't bother him. They're perfect for our weather and snowfall. In fact, my husband and my younger son also have Caribou boots, and I have a pair of Sorel's. The soles are sturdy and thick, and it takes a lot of steps to wear them down. The cream cuff does get a little discolored, but nobody really cares about that. I also appreciate that the liners can be pulled out for faster drying.

These are my first pair of sorel and i absolutely love them. They keep my feet warm and stylish. I went a 1/2 a size down because i read other reviews they come big in size. They fit perfect. Im a 7 1/2 and got a 7. Highly recommend.

Bought these boots for a last minute trip to Utah in the snow. I used them for snowmobiling in the 20-30 degree range in the snow all day, shoveling snow and doing some hiking in the elements. They were fantastic! Kept me warm and dry all day long. They do run a half size big, so I would size down, even with wearing thick socks. If you are going to wear thin socks you could probably get away with a full size down. I cut purchasing them too close to when I had to leave, so I had to wear them a bit big, and they still got the job done. Really great product for the snow and cold.

This has been my go to boot to wear especially for snowing morning walks to class. I never have to worry about my socks gettings wet or or any snow because these boots offer resistance against practically all thelements. I love the style as well and believe they're very flattering on the legs and calves since they're relatively sturdy boots. If where you live gets a lot of snow or you want a great boot to wear for skiing, hiking or any outdoor activities - this is absolutely the boot for you.

These boots are holding up in Syracuse winter. Super warm and comfortable enough to wear all day to class. Definitely worth the money! They do run small. I wear 8.5 and needed a 9.

I originally bought the Buxton Lace because I needed something inexpensive for a Snow and Slush trip coming up. The Buxton Lace up was a little small and Zappos was out of the next size up so I was in a time crunch. I heard about these and just spent the extra money for these. I haven't gone on my trip yet but wow. The comfort of these boots is amazing. They are meant to be over sized but the Toebox is tight so for sizing , the best I can tell you is that it is the same size I wear in Puma and Nike tennis shoes. I wear an 8 In Frye Boots so it took me 2 tries and some reading to get the size right. They are wide and offer plenty of room. I can't say I fear the snow when I put these on! They are super easy to take on and off and the removable shearling liner is a great touch in case you get them wet. I have a feeling these will last quite a while and are some great work horse boots and play around in the snow boots. Maybe not for hiking but a great all around boot.
