I used to love Super Feet, but I found their arch support lacking. I immediately felt these correcting my right foot's collapsing arch. The pressure was evenly distributed. I have used more aggressive supports in the past that were just blister-making machines. The heel cup is deep so I do not feel like it will allow my foot to bulge over and result in slicing. I am very happy and believe I am a convert. I just wish the price was lower. I would probably by a ton more. The carrying case these came with looked like it was more wizz-bang than the insoles. Worry about the product, not the packaging. Lower the price.

Oh, my. I have lived with foot pain and surgeries for years. These Sole things are so comfortable. Great cushion but still a good arch support. I'm buying more.

I have tried other insoles, but continue to buy soles over others. My feet are picky and I like the arches in the soles.

These Sole inserts provide excellent comfort. They are third shoe insert I have ever tried and by far the best.

I used these insoles in a pair of La Sportiva Glacier boots and went on backpack trips and mountain scrambles this past summer. They worked great. Just follow directions about forming to feet by putting in oven beforehand. I had to trim the smaller toes part first for my boots.

These are amazing insoles. Been dealing with some plantar fasciitis and was getting frustrated because I couldn't seem to walk without a limp due to the pain. As soon I did the custom heat molding and slipped them into my Salomon 3Ds, they make those shoes feel like a brand new pair! I can't explain how great they feel, so cushiony and now I can walk without a limp. So stoked!

My podiatrist recommended these several years ago and after a couple of years I was ready to replace them and elated to find these on Zappos! SOLEs last forever and are the best orthotics I've ever tried (and I've tried them all).

I've had several pairs of SOLE inserts over the years. Aside from my first pair, this is the best one I've owned yet. Right before purchasing these, I purchased the Signature DK Response and ended up returning them. They didn't have enough cushion for the shoes I used. The EV Ultra, however, has around double the cushion. This can be a downside if you don't have a lot of room in your shoes. They've increased my comfort quite a bit both walking and running. If I temporarily put in my old inserts I feel the difference immediately. The only downside (aside from maybe price) is that they advertise "anti-bacterial silver threads" but I don't have particularly smelly feet and after two weeks of use there was slight odor.

I cannot say enough about these insoles. I am going on my 6th year, and third pair of hiking boots with these insoles; although, it's almost time to buy a new pair they have held up amazingly. I switch them in and out of all my shoes including hiking boots, sneakers, dress shoes, clipless biking shoes, and plastic mountaineering boots. They do take up a lot of volume so it's best to try on new boots with them (especially if you use bulky socks) and you have to remove the stock insole (I decide on footwear based around this insole). The heat forming was easy, they provide great shock absorption for talus rock hopping descents, keep feet dry, and provide custom fit arch support, and they have never started to smell even after working in a cheese factory with them. I tried superfeet and Dr Scholls before these and there is no contest. I originally bought them because my knees hurt on long descents. My first test for them was hiking the presidential range in NH in a day (30-35 miles 10,000 ft ascending, 6,000 descending) and it was relatively pain free.

These are the best inserts for flat feet. Thank goodness Zappos carries these now! I'm on my feet on concrete floors all day and have been using these for years in my steel toe work boots. They are wonderful! I purchased my first pair from Red Wing shoes, and they solved my plantar fasciitis. Thanks Zappos!

t took me a couple of tries to get them molded right, but after I did, they are awesome. Great support and cushion, I prefer these much more than Superfeets which provide very little cushion. These are very comfortable and feel great after hours of hiking with a heavy pack.

I've used these on several shoes, and the only complaint I have is that the arch didn't hold up very well over time. I'm a big guy, and within 6 months it wasn't doing its job. While it started out great, didn't hold up...and for the money I thought it should. Went back to my Superfeet, while it's not as high of support, it holds up better.

I use these insoles in my workout shoes because they are thick and they have odor protection. They were recommended to me to treat my plantar fasciitis. I use them for more than a year. They work!

Used these insoles at one time, then went to custom. These insoles are every bit as good, maybe better than my custom made insoles. Arch is stiff yet cushioned and doesn't break down. The Sol line gives you several choices of cushioning. The EV Ultra is thicker, cushier. Sol doesn't change up their products, so you can reorder your favorite insole, even after many years. I use these insoles for running shoes, cycling shoes, and hiking shoes. Great directions included to heat to size (not necessary) and trim to size. Best insole ever! Zappos continues to satisfy...great customer service!

This is an amazing product! Buy it! I have abused my feet and legs for years with classical ballet and running. I could hardly run any more because of knee and foot pain. I have had various orthopedists make me orthotics which were marginally helpful. I also have neuromas on both feet. These are the best orthotics I've ever worn by far. They like like a new pair of cushioned running shoes every time I put them on and they let me run again. My knees and feet rarely hurt. I bought mine last winter and am now buying a pair for my son. You will not regret wearing these. They are exactly what i was looking for.

I love the SOLE inserts. This one is great and the regular black SOFTEC ULTRA model is great too -- in fact I only bought these because they were out of the others. I can't tell much difference -- both are excellent. I used to have custom orthotics that I switched shoe-to-shoe but now I just use these in all my shoes and they are just as good as the much more expensive custom orthotics. I have high arches and have had hammer toe and neuroma surgeries in both feet and a couple of broken ankles -- and am older and could lose some weight. These SOLE insoles make a huge difference in the comfort of my feet, ankles, and knees and my ability to do some walking for my health. Worth every penny.

These insoles have the most arch support and cushioning than any other insole I've tried thus far. I initially bought the Superfeet orange insoles for a pair of hiking boots to replace the poor support of the Ortholite insoles that came with them. Although Superfeet make a great product, my feet never really adjusted to the support, cushion, and overall feel of the insole. I ended up returning the Superfeet and replaced them with these insoles - it's literally night and day between the two. Instead of my feet adjusting to an insole, the insole adjusted to my feet. I ended up baking my Soles to get a true custom fit and have not had any issues whatsoever. I've hiked miles and miles with these insoles and my feet no longer ache due to insufficient arch support and cushioning. So much so that I've been wearing my hiking boots everyday since they're that comfortable. I ended picking up a pair of the red DK Sole Response insoles for my lower volume shoes. I also like the fact these have permanent odor control manufactured into them. Definitely recommend Soles!

My first review on Zappos! I ordered these insoles to go with a new pair of Saucony Bullet Vegan shoes (ordered at same time) for a trip to NYC. My old sneakers were in poor shape and I wanted something minimal, comfortable, but I also wanted more arch support and comfort for my shoes. I did a search for insoles, saw the great reviews for these and decided to give them a try, despite the price. I couldn't be more pleased! Although I have nothing to compare these to, other than some drugstore-bought Dr. Scholl's, I am very happy with how they feel and fit. I have pronated ankles (think of the letter C) with a minimal arch and I get shooting pains up the inside of my ankle if I walk too much without support. I made it a week of all walking in NYC in these with no issues whatsoever. The arch is just enough for me, the heel cup feels great and cushioned and I love that it feels a little higher. I was worried the front of the insoles, at the ball of the foot, wouldn't be as comfortable or provide enough cushion, but I've had no issues. I've been raving about these insoles for the past few weeks to anyone who will listen. I will definitely be buying these again.

Best insoles I have ever worn! I have plantar fasciitis and these insoles are the only way I am able to get through my day. Comfortable, cushioned and supportive. I feel they need to be replaced every 6 months though. This can be a drawback because of the price.

These are great insoles. I have always depended on Ryka for my jazzercise shoes because they fit well and last. But with age I find I need more cushioning and that is where these work best. Tried some locally purchased brands but none compare. I didn't even need to heat and mold them. But even if I did it would be worth it.

Love these insoles! I have flat, narrow feet that always hurt, no matter what shoes I wear -- especially after having both back and knee surgery. These insoles help to relieve the pain, unlike every other insole I have tried in the past. They were recommended to me by my back surgeon. Yes, the insoles are expensive -- but they are worth it! I normally wear a 6 to 6.5 shoe, depending on the brand. I tried both the 6 and 6.5 (women's) in this insole, and the 6 fit best. This specific model is primarily for hiking boots, or other "higher profile" shoes. The slightly less padded model (Signature DK) is perfect for lower profile/model athletic shoes.

These are only suitable for shoes with lots of internal vertical room. Yes, they provide very good support. Yes, they helped relieve my plantar fasciitis. But, no, I could not wear them in any shoes that I wanted. Only after removing the original insert in a pair with substantial internal vertical room could I use these inserts without the top of my foot being painfully squashed.

Well made, may be good for some but not for me, too thick in the toe area and not much cushion to the pad.
