I bought a pair of the EV Ultra's to try in hiking and ski boots and perhaps some of my shoes that have removable insoles. Having now used them in a pair of La Sportiva approach shoes, I'd offer this comment: the insoles are quite thick and will likely change the fit of whatever shoe/boot you're using them in. Using a midweight sock, the fit of the approach shoes was much tighter in the toe box and top of the instep. The soles may compress some over time, but if you have a high arch and/or the fit of your boot or shoe is perfect with the stock insoles, you want to look for a thinner Sole product.
