Great jacket. Very light but very warm and windproof. Use it both for daily activities as well as x-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Love it, and I got it quick. Ordered the Patagonia Down Sweater for myself one night around 8 pm, and I got it the next morning, with free shipping! Kudos to Zappos. I've had the sweater (more like a jacket) for a few days now in WI and have shoveled in 15F, gone to the grocery store at 2F, and tested it out walking in temps well below 20F. I'm amazed at how warm this light jacket has kept me in these conditions, with really only a regular shirt underneath. My new favorite jacket.

I bought this for my husband, and he loves it. According to him, the sweater is very warm and light weight without all the bulks. We received the sweater the very next day. With Zappos there\'s no need to go out to the mall no more.

The Patagonia Men's Down Sweater earns 5 stars in all categories for the follow reasons: First, it's a Patagonia product. For anyone not familiar, Patagonia is a top shelf outdoor products company. They have been around since the 70's, are wholly owned by Yvon Chouinard, and are dedicated to one thing: making the absolute best product for the intended purpose. That does not mean cheapest, or even most affordable, but it does mean highest quality. Patagonia products are expensive, but because of their active commitment to preserve our environment I happily pay the price. Now about the "sweater". This is the perfect insulating layer for the high country. It's extremely light for its warmth factor, extremely packable, and extremely comfortable in a wide temperature range. My first use of mine was on a four day trip to summit Granite Peak (at 12,799 feet the highest peak) in Montana. I wore it alone and under a shell, in temps between 35 and 50 degrees (early August) and winds from calm to 60 MPH. I was comfortable (not too hot) in this range in this jacket. It allows full freedom of movement. The quality is superb. It's a no frills, ultralight, insulating layer. It does everything the product literature promises. If you can afford, own one!

Light, compressible warmth - Light, warm sweater for layering or to be worn by itself. Medium was a true medium. Zips up tight at neck; draw cord at waist. Fits in small stuff sack. Great warmth to weight ratio.

Layering - I used this product as a liner under a ski shell, perfect, light and very warm.

Overall, a gorgeous, lightweight down jacket. Perfect for milder winter days, or under a shell. The color description baffled us a bit, but the "alpha" green turned out to be very nice, kind of a soft olive. Normally, my son would wear a medium in a jacket; he tried it on with a medium weight sweater and buttoned down shirt, it felt a little snug in the armpits, so but he's going to go to a nearby Patagonia store and check out the large. Also, the medium was a little snug fitting around the hips.

Great jacket. Light, packable and functional. However, the draw string hem needs a little work, it's a little confusing which way to draw the string. The outer material is a bit delicate. Be careful around thorns or snags. I wear mine mostly when the temperature drops under my fishing waders. Also check the Patagonia site on fit before you buy. Patagonia tends to be a bit more slender in fit intended for those wearers that actually get into the outdoors :-). If you care about what a brand stands for, get Patagonia over anything else. They give so much back to the earth. I gave away all my North Face jackets.

Warm and comfortable. Really nice. I wish the price was a little lower but I would buy this again. My second day wearing it I had a slight accident where I hooked it on a nail. I think everyone within a 10 block radius heard me scream. I repaired the hole with super glue. You would not notice the repair unless you really looked for it.

This coat is extremely light weight but also very warm. I wear it in lieu of a fleece that my wife thought looked dumpy and the cut of this is trim and stylish (or so she tells me). Yeah!

Unbelievably lightweight yet keeps me warm as an outer layer to 30 degrees. Great investment.

I am 6'4", and 200 pounds. This jacket fits perfectly for my frame. It is super warm. It is super light and packable. It is great on its own or as an insulation layer.

I'm 6'4 200lbs Large fits me great and does not billow around waist. Awesome down coat for winter. I use will use it as a layering piece under a shell or on it's own for milder days.

I purchased this jacket for my husband for his birthday and it is a perfect jacket for MN winters. It is warm, but not too hot for normal, everyday wear. I think it looks flattering and is a classic style that he can wear for years. Both he and I love it. Great purchase - worth the price.

I wish I had bought this jacket years ago! I've long been a fan of Patagonia, have a fair number of their clothing, and long wanted this particular light-weight jacket/sweater. Problem was, I didn't want to spend the money. But, after comparing several other brands, I went with my "heart" and ordered this down sweater from Zappos. I'm so glad I did.

Great coat. The cut of the coat fits well if you are seeking a coat that is thinner in the midsection. With long sleeved t-shirt the coat is warm enough to 20 degrees. It is very light weight and easily goes under weather shell.

I have always loved Patagonia products as well as their company philosophies. My first Down Sweater, purchased about 10 years ago, was the best investment in feathers that I have ever made. It is simply a perfect garment. It fits well, is warm when it is cold out, and yet light and comfortable in Spring or Fall. I get tons of use from my Down Sweater. But it is wearing thin in spots, so I bought another. I love the color, and the contrasting lining, too.

Bought this for my husband and it's his favorite. Just warm enough but super light. Totally packable, takes up very little space. It looks good too because it's not puffy.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it and it looks great. It is very warm, yet not bulky at all, unlike competitive down jackets. He is usually a large, but the medium fit him better in this coat. If you are on the fence, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

This is such a fantastic jacket. I have the women's in black and got this one for a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It fits him very, very well. It is so versatile! He wears it with sweatpants and tennis shoes to the gym but also with blue jeans on a cold night out. The color is also great bc it goes with a whole lot. If you are thinking about buying it, you will be very happy!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend as he had been stating he wanted one. It has now become his favorite jacket as it is light and keeps you warm. I would suggest this jacket to anyone that likes the look and it also is great to go skiing in. He liked it so much I decided to buy one for myself.

This jacket is ultra light but very warm. Bought it for my brother and he wears it with jeans or slacks. Every time I see him, he's wearing it. The styling on this jacket is fine.
