The boots ran smaller in size and width. Returned them right after I tried them on and realize that they were not the right fit for my feet.

As expected these boots are beautiful. They do run small. I wear an 8 and although I could get them on, they were a little tight. I recommend ordering 1/2 size up.

These felt very comfortable and if they looked like the photo, I would have kept them. The black paint or polish on the tip of the boot was poorly applied and the leather was a solid brown color that didn't match the photo. Nothing about these looked vintage.

These are beautiful boots, but they are just too tight across the foot - as if they didn't use enough leather. I have been trying to break in the shorter Veronica for more than two weeks, to no avail - they just don't stretch enough, and my foot is not all that wide - so I ordered these in a larger size to see if they fit better - they don't!! I love Frye and am disappointed, but at least I'm able to return these. I knew there would be a break-in period, but even out of the box they should not be THAT tight. Be cautious.

I have a pair of Veronica Shorties from five years ago that are solid; I wear them as motorcycle boots. I needed a brown pair not for riding but just for general wear with jeans, etc. World of difference between the two of them. The leather on the new pair was floppy and lightweight. It did not feel like it would stand up to any wear at all. It wasn't billed as a slouch boot, but the leather was so thin that it seemed like it would soon after wearing. It also ran quite small - I'm doing just fine in size 7 Uggs, but couldn't really even get my foot in these 7s. Disappointing; I've always felt that Frye was the gold standard. Maybe not anymore.

I have a black pair of these that I've had for years & I love them. I ordered the dark brown ones because I liked the look of them in the picture. The picture shows a reddish brown with dimension to the leather, some darker & lighter areas, more a saddle leather look. The boots that I received are a dark brown & very one-dimensional & flat. They are a solid dark brown, not what the picture shows. The boots are very narrow & I toyed with the idea of having them stretched a bit but I just couldn't get over the color. I knew I'd be disappointed, even though the price was great. Sadly, I returned them.

They were beautiful boots and fit me exactly, but I expected the less shiny kind, more beat up. My daughter offered me her old boots which were old Fryes and they were perfect. Sorry to see these go, but it wasn't in the cards.

The heels are too big

Very cute boot, but it was way too tight and the heel slipped off like a flip flop.

This boot LOOKS AMAZING. But the comfort falls "Veronica Short." I ordered sizes 7.5 and 8 at the same time to be sure I got one that would fit, but even the 8 was a smidge too small. Oddly, though quite snug overall, the heel did not hug my foot, and therefore as I walk, the heel flip-flops up and down like a sandal. Returning, sadly, as I thought these were the answer to my autumn footwear needs.

Even though the leather is great quality it does not look as loose at the top as in the video making the boots look bulkier. The dark brown color is pretty but not what I expected from the pictures (was expecting more red). Returning the boots

Unfortunately, the size 9 (my usual size) are too big right out of the box. When I walk, my feet slide out of them.
