Having been away from the Frye line for years, and then rediscovering it through Zappos, I thought I would give them a try. I had become fed up with the poor quality and plastic soles on a lot of high end boots. I browsed and found the cutest pair of ankle high Harness boots that were so well made, leather sole and heel, excellent leather, first rate work...they came and I was in love with Frye and HAD to have another pair. I did some research, and found that not all Frye boots have leather soles and heels. I wanted to be able to have them resoled should they need it because they are an investment that gets better with age if taken care of. I came across the Veronica Shortie and instantly liked the look. I wanted a substantial sole but a low heel this time. These go with straight leg Jeans perfectly...even older faded ones are elevated several notches, with this boot. The finish is superb and the smell of the leather tells you that you made a first rate choice that you will be happy with for years. You will not go wrong with this versatile, comfortable, boot. I already have a third pair picked out that I will order through Zappos!

I love these boots. They felt great when I first put them on and have continued to feel great each time. They seemed to run true to size. The color is nice and the details make them look great. I will invest in another pair someday soon.

This is my run-around boot during the fall and early spring. Depending on the snow and ice, I wear it in the winter also. I have a wide forefoot, so I do get the boots stretched a little before wearing them, but otherwise it fits true to size. It looks great with jeans, cords, and casual skirts. I have tried Frye boots with higher heels, but this is much more comfortable for me. Having worn down my first pair (which I now wear for yardwork), I am on to the second pair.

I bought them in butter color. And I am absolutely in love with them! Though I never tried them outside (it's freezing). I usually don't buy such an expensive shoes, but they worth it! The quality is very good, leather looks awesome, expensive, and the most important, the balance is made of leather, too. 99% of shoes have rubber or foam or whatever balance which is awful for our feet. My aunt used to work at shoe factory and she knew all about shoes. And she told me to try by all means not to wear "artificial" shoes. Also these shoes looks so cool I couldn't give them up even though they are a little tight for me. I hope eventually it will be okay. Very well made.

I absolutely love Zappos. Frye makes a great boot and Zappos sells them at a competitive price. Plus, the free shipping back and forth is wonderful. They are a very reliable place to shop and extremely friendly if you need to contact them. I have made several purchases with them and I am always satisfied.

These boots fit true to size and are good quality. They are not as dark black as they look but I ended up liking that. Comfortable foot pad inside.

Love these boots. They were true to size and I wore them for work as soon as I got them, which was 14 hours of standing up. They rubbed my heel ever so slightly, but have been very comfy ever since. My only moan is that they are just an inch too high in the leg. It would be better if they were a tiny bit shorter, purely for aesthetic reasons. Would definitely recommend these boots. They are lovely!

So, I usually wear an 8 in boots, 8/8.5 in tennis shoes, 7/12 in sandals/open toed shoes. I have very narrow, flat feet. This is my 3rd pair of Frye boots. Pair #1 is 7.5 Frye Harness boot, it fits really tight. Pair #2 is 8.5 Frye Celia Shearing Tall – it fits fine. In most all of my tennis shoes and boots, I have an insole…again, I have narrow feet, and this helps my shoes fit better. However, that being said – I purchased pair #3 in a size 8: Frye Veronica Short boot. Length wise – the Veronica seems perfect. It fits snug across my foot – it’s not too tight…I am wearing a pretty thick, cotton, short athletic sock. Since I purchased this boot to wear with skinny jeans and leggings, long socks aren’t an option. So, if you have wide feet – this boot may be really tight. The issue I have is…the heel. It’s huge…or wide!! This pair of boots is like wearing flip flops. Due to my narrow feet – I am used to the boot slipping a little on the heel…but, it feels like the heel is 2 sizes too big – again, the length and width are a good fit. I purchased a petty thick heel cup (because, if I try using a full length insole…it’s way too tight across the top of my foot)…and now, one foot is comfortable (I have one foot that is a little larger than the other…)…while my other foot still has a lot of slipping – like it literally works my sock off! I am going to try a heel grip pad on the one that is slipping in the heel.

Fit is a little small. But overall boots are very cute and I’m satisfied with the purchase.

They are beautiful and fit well. I have narrow feet and high arches. There is almost no arch support and someone with a wider foot may find these unpleasant. My heels slip some but I have other Frye boots and know that will stop once they are broken in.

The fit was pretty good on this one, but I have a wide foot and I was hoping I could make this work, but it was still too narrow for me. The length was fine, and I could see it being comfortable length wise but I am not sure it would ever stretch wide enough for me. The leather and style are so beautiful, I really want to keep this because I have wanted a pair of Frye boots for YEARS and jumped when I saw this one was on sale, but since my foot has changed widths over the years I sadly do not think I will be able to have a pair. Beautiful boot but they need to go back. :-(

These were absolutely gorgeous and the leather was so amazing but the fit was odd in both the front side and in the heel. Sadly they’re just not for me but very beautiful boots!

The size and fit was true to other Frye boots. The soles and lower section of the boot were classic Frye quality. The top of the boot was very soft and flimsy. While this provides and casual look great for jeans, my wife felt this style provided very little ankle protection. I ordered a upgrade to a pair of Engineers 12”to ge the best of both worlds.

Wanted this boot for years...finally caved in and purchased and it’s a little small! not extremely comfortable either

I really wanted to make this boot work because I have been wanting a pair of Frye boots for years, and when I saw that this pair was on sale, I jumped. I tried a size 6, my normal size, but the shoe part of the boot was much too snug - I couldn't even get my feet into them. I do wear a size 6W, so I was hoping that maybe a 6.5 would work, but after giving the bigger size a try, it was also snug at the top. They are such a beautiful and well-made boot that I'm tempted to keep them despite the snug fit, and hope that they stretch, but it would make more sense to return them. I have to applaud Zappos' wonderful customer service, also, they have been so helpful! Still on the fence, but other than the fit issues (constant issue with me and my weird feet), it's a really gorgeous boot.

Had to return them, your details state that these boots have a smooth leather lining. The ones I received did not, just the rough side of the exterior smooth leather. And the shaft height was a bit too short. Otherwise the fit felt good, true to size.

I wear a 9 or 9.5 M. Zappos sizing recommended a 9 based on my past purchases. I read reviews and opted for 9.5, in winter I like to wear thick socks (Smartwool, Fit). These slip on and with my thick socks they went on just fine. It is true about the heel slip, seems to be something you can expect with pull on boots but nothing to bother me just yet (only worn in house). I saw the video and was concerned these would be too slouchy and loose so online photos were helpful as it appeared many did not have so much loose/slouch and I didn't when I got them. Leather is super soft and with time will get even better. I also ordered the Sofft Barcelona (zips) and it has a better fit in the heel and some nice padded arch support. I like them both I may keep both.

This is a very rustic relaxed boot. The shaft is very soft and slouches well. The sole is thicker than my previous Frye boots- a bit more masculine than I like, but completely in style right now. I normally wear a 8.5, but in Frye boots I wear a 9 so I can double up on socks. Sizing was on point with all other Frye’s I’ve tried on. The width was more forgiving but not a true “wide” than other Frye’s. If you like the style but previous Frye’s didn’t work due to the narrow width, this is a great boot to try.

I loved these online but less impressive in person. The fit was great, 9.5 and true to size. Slipped a tiny bit in the heel at first but better after walking around. My issue with these was the shaft, which was a little too slouchy for my taste, and felt it would fall down. I am sure they would fit over jeans or if you have a wider calf. I am also tall, 5'10'' and forget that boots that are supposed to be mid calf will be almost ankle like on me. Leather is amazing!

I really wanted to love these boots. I like how they look and love Frye. I ordered my normal size 8 1/2 and they were too loose in the heel. As I stepped, my heel would come out of place. But they looked great. So I returned and ordered 1/2 size down- a size 8. These were way too tight and ended up giving me blisters as a wore them around the house- with thin socks. Could just be a fluke that the 8 were too small and the 8 1/2 were too large. Super disappointed I couldn't keep to wear- as I really like the look of them. As always- Zappos was great about returns.

Beautiful shoes. Just too heavy.

Beautiful boots by I have neuropathy in my feet .I need something not as heavy.
