I love Frye boots! They are so comfortable and look great. I have the veronica boots in the tall and short. These boots look great with jeans, shorts, dresses and pretty much everything. I did find this boot to run a little small. Usually I wear an 8, and have other Frye styles in an 8, but had to size up to an 8.5.

Comfortable and spacious boots. Very soft leather. Awesome vintage look. Feels true to size. They slide easily and there is plenty room in the toe area. I ordered them in Dark Brown Vintage and love this color versatile and easy to combine. Frye rocks!

These are gorgeous, go with anything boots! I normally order half a size down in Fryes, but opted for my true size (7) based on other reviews. I am glad that I did because they fit perfectly out of the box. These boots do take a few wears to break the heel in (rubs a bit) but they are worth it. These are my favorite Fryes that I have ever owned. I am also a teacher and can stand all day in these.

So cute! I have a wide calf and thought that I couldn't enjoy a lovely Frye...wrong! So cute, great color (whiskey), and super comfy from the first wear. I love them!

This is my favorite all-time boot. Over the years I have purchased several colors because the first pair was so comfortable right from the start. What I have noticed, however, is that the different colors are cut differently in the width of the foot/toe. The photos do illustrate which colors have which toe shape. This seems strange, but doesn't seem to be just an old/new style year because it has appeared this way for several years now. I wish all were cut as were the roomy shaped ones. I have a reasonably narrow (average to narrow) foot and the colors that are less roomy are a bit snug for me. Still, a great boot. Very well made, tough leather, thick soles. The added rubber layer helps prevent them from being slick. A great boot.

Love my Frye shorties! Had a little bit of an issue getting the right size but only because my feet are so wide. But once I finally got the size right I love them!

I got these boots in the black vintage boots about 6 months ago. They took surprisingly little time to break in, and they've held up to heavy daily use. On the other hand, I find them quite heavy. Switching between them and flats, for example, always throws me off a bit. The boots put the finishing touches to all of the outfits I pair them with (though I only wear them with pants), and they make my legs look longer! Being 5'1", I'm thankful for even the look of added height. These boots are great!

These boots are great, stylish and comfortable. Easy with jeans, leggings or a skirt/shorts. It took one wearing of these boots to get broken in, and now they fit like a glove!

So excited about these boots! Originally I ordered the Dark Brown Stone Wash as it was the only dark brown option available that I liked. However, when they arrived I was let down as they didn't look as they had in the picture. The picture on Zappos shows is darker and less scuffed than what you actually get. What arrived at my doorstep was scuffed all around the bottom and the top of the boot, with the middle looking fine. It just wasn't my style. Back in the box they go and out come the pair I'd originally wanted since they were now available. I can't wait to wear these boots!

Love these boots in dark brown. I have been looking for the right pair for 2 seasons and was happy to get what I wanted despite the higher price. I am 5'4 so the shorter shaft is better for me. They are great with skinny jeans and very durable. Lots of compliments. I plan to wear them for years!

Amazing boots! I love Frye boots and have several pair but these are sooo comfortable! Slouchy, beaten to perfection, and looks great with skirts, jeans, leggings, whatever.

These boots are amazing. I purchased the chocolate vintage leather because I wanted a rugged look, and they are exactly what I imagined. In person they are very true to the photos. I wear a 9 in every other shoe brand but for some reason, I take an 8.5 in Fryes (this makes my fifth pair). I ordered the 8.5 and they are perfect. My feet are wide and I usually have to have my Frye's stretched by the cobbler before they are wearable, but not these! They arrived yesterday and short of sleeping in them, I can't bear to take them off! They do slip a bit in the heel but it's not bothersome. In short, these boots rock, and they're worth every penny.

I ordered these in cognac, they are the most perfect distressed light brown color. The fit is perfect, ordered my normal size and they fit perfect with a light sock. The height is absolutely perfect..tall boots just don't look right on me but I would think these would look great on everyone. The quality of frye just can't be beat, how can you get better than a pair of boots that you can wear forever and never go out of style!

Oh, I want to keep these boots but tightness across my high arch causes me to return. Very rugged looking, I like that.

Love these boots! I am an 8. Originally ordered an 8 in the dark brown stone wash. Returned them as I needed to go up a 1/2 size and the color was too worn looking for me. Re-ordered an 8 1/2 (perfect fit) and changed the color to dark brown vintage brush off. This is a very pretty color. The boots are very comfortable and super cute. I wish I could afford to order another pair. Thanks Zappos for the quick shipping and easy exchange!

These boots are amazing. I have a slightly wider than average foot, so right out of the box the boots were snug. But, after wearing them for an hour around the house, they quickly became molded to my foot. After my first full day of wearing them, my heel rubbed slightly, but that went away within 2 or 3 wears. I have plenty of room length-wise, I considered ordering a smaller pair, but I'm happy I stuck with these.

I absolutely LOVE these boots! They are extremely comfortable, very stylish, great craftsmanship, and worth every penny. I can tell they will last a long time. Thank you Frye for making such a cool and genuinely beautiful boot!

I love these boots. The sizing is very true to size and I had no problem getting them on or off. They do need to be broken in as they are not that comfortable at first. I got them in the color: Black Stone Wash, which I love, but everyone kept commenting that my boots were "dirty". They do have a worn in dirty look to them in this color. Still love them!

Love these boots! Takes a solid week and some leather conditioner to break in, since- they have been my go to shoe. I have been wearing them several days a week for well over a year and they are still going strong. The dark brown does scuff off on the toes a bit, the leather is beautiful though not quite as robust as the harness boots. Pretty true to size, I am a 7.5 heel, 8 boot and I wear with smart wool socks all winter to keep my toes warm. No regrets!

So I finally, after months of wavering, ordered these boots. So glad I did!! This is my first pair of Frye boots. The leather is soft and luxurious....the cognac stone wash is beautiful and goes with anything! The right boot is slightly narrower than the left, however they have stretched a bit and formed to my feet like butter!! I have received tons of compliments on these boots. I will be ordering more Fryes from zappos! Definitely recommend! Zappos is great! Quick shipping and a wonderful return policy! I'm hooked.

These boots are amazing!! I just ordered the Veronica Shortie in cognac stone wash, and I adore them. First, a warning: these boots have a stiff leather upper and are therefore VERY PAINFUL to break in, but DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I made the mistake of wearing them to school the day after they arrived, and subsequently developed horrid blisters on my heels. I recommend wearing them around your house until they're comfortable. But about the style of the boot: I wouldn't change anything. The leather is beautiful, the bottom is just rugged enough, and I think they would be flattering on any leg. I'm 5'6 and I have chicken legs, so I was initially worried that they would look too clunky on my slender frame, but they didn't. They're great. I also think they're appropriate for all age groups. I'm 17, but I'm convinced that and 80-year-old could also rock these. I can also attest to the fact that there is no difference between the shaft heights of the Veronica Short and the Veronica Shortie. I ordered both, although I ended up returning the Short because I didn't love the color. Also, if you're afraid to purchase this boot in stone wash (stone or cognac, specifically) because it looks to bold or awkwardly colored, fear not! I was worried that the cognac stone wash would be too orange, but the coloring is actually beautifully natural. They look like a well-worn, 10-year-old pair of boots, but they feel brand new. Frye does the dirty work for you there. They're definitely worth the price, if that's what you're ultimately wondering. I can't find anything wrong with them except that you have to break them in. Love it, but had to return and exchange it because there is a small tear in the front ofthe boots.

I haven't owned a pair of boots since high school, so this was a special purchase for me! I got the Dark Brown Vintage Brush Off color, and it is beautiful. It's definitely NOT distressed like a lot of the other color choices. They are very close to the pair pictured, but the upper leather is not as pebbled as shown; it looks smoother. My feet are a solid 8.5, but I often wear a 9. I got these in 8.5 and the size is perfect. They are a little bit tight across the widest part of my foot, but I'm confident that they will warm to my foot and stretch a little. (It is still our first day together.) As others have mentioned, my heel slips somewhat, but not horribly. I'm 5'2", and these boots hit exactly just below my calf muscle, which is perfect for me any higher and it would feel awkward. The quality of the boots is excellent and they have a very luxurious feel.
