I absolutely love my Frye boots! This is the first pair of Frye boots that I have ever owned. I love them even more than I hoped. They are my favorite go to boots. They go with any and everything. I can wear them all day long and my feet never hurt. I have plantar fasciitis and I wear these boots without an orthotic and my feet feel great. I wish I could change all my boots over to Frye boots. I guess I will in time. I highly recommend this style!

These are beautifully made boots. I have received a lot of compliments on them. They go very well with straight jeans and leggings. I found that almost all of my socks rode down and bunched up under my (very high) arches when I wore the boots. I ordered three pairs of Keene socks (Alpine crew & others); they stay where they should; my Smartwools didn't. I have high arches and I don't need arch support and I don't really notice if boots provide arch support, or not.

Love these boots. Great wardrobe investment! And these can be warn year round with the right accessories and outfit. I finally made the plunge and bought these boots, because other boots just weren't cutting it anymore. Ive finally realized what all the fuss is about with women and their shoe collections, QUALITY and staying power; these boots have both, not too one trend and the quality is fantastic!

I have been looking for a red boot for quite a while and thought this one would be the answer. The boot is beautiful, high grade soft leather and a great color but unfortunately it was a little too big in the heel causing my foot to slip off when walking. I do have a narrow foot so that might be the problem. Hate to return them, will continue my search.

Worth every extra dollar spent! I bought three pairs of similar boots to compare. This Frye pair, A pair of Clarks Orinocco Kick and the Steve Madden Brewzzer. All the same color, size and style. As soon as I put the Clarks on they went right back into the box. tight and felt poorly made. The Steve Madden felt generous in size and the liner in them made it easy to pull on and off. But when I put the Frye boots on a completely different story. At first, they were difficult to get on because they do not have a liner, just the inside (suede) of the leather. So it was bit difficult to get my foot in. But I was glad that I had read a review stating that it takes a few day to get your boot to fit your foot. With Zappos great return policy, I took the chance and wore them around the house. It is like magic! I wore the boots with thin socks around the house for a couple of days for a couple of hours a day and voila! The boots fit like a glove. At first they were tight and was not sure if they would ever stretch, but I gave it a go. There is NO comparison of the quality of the boot. Since I'm a size 11 there is no room to go up a half size, but now there is no need to. I even wore them a week after buying them to walk around the city pavements for an entire weekend and my feet were all good. they are much better made then the Clarks or Steve Madden boots and can and will last forever. (a pair of Steve Madden boots that I bought at just a few months ago already feeling too worn and may only last one season) It is wort to spent the extra money on quality shoes. Love these boot, made me go and buy another pair of Frye boots just because they are so well made.

The boots were stiff out of the box and were uncomfortable the first few times I wore them. Eventually they broke in and were better. They are stylish and comfortable.

Great boots! I did take others advice and got a 1/2 size up and they fit perfect. I did even try my regular size and they were too snug.

A beautiful boot that I can wear with dresses, skirts or pants. Still breaking them in, but I know I'll have these for years and years. A bonus: I originally got these as a birthday gift, and they were about a size too big. I called Zappos to exchange...but I'd gotten rid of the box/receipt. They worked with me to return the boot and get the right size anyway. Zappos kills it with awesome customer service, once again!

Great boot. I have a very high arch and wide calf and I can get into this boot with no problem. I just wore them nearly every day on a trip to Europe and they were very comfortable. Note I always get boots 1/2 size larger than my normal size 81/2. These are a 9 and perfect.

These are awesome boots! The fade on the front is not as noticeable as the picture. They are perfect. They look like you have had them for years. It took a couple times to break in, but it was so worth it.

Using these to replace my sloppy looking Uggs for a more sophisticated comfortable look. I'm not sure where all the people are getting their ideas about sizing on this boot, but here's mine. I normally wear a 10. I ordered a 10 and it was HUGE on my foot, even with socks. I knew that once it was broken in, it would be unbearably big. So I went to Dillard's to do some trying on. Turns out that a 9 fits. Great. Feels great without socks and when I break them in with socks, they will be perfect. Wonderful, wonderful boot. Supportive and the quality is top notch. I'm going on a long trip to Africa this month and I plan on wearing these beauties.

Ordered several pairs to get the sizing correct. In the end, the size 7 accommodated my wide feet. The heel slips a lot right out of the box, but company and other reviewers say this decreases after a few weeks of wear. I don't feel much arch support in the shoe bed and when I put an orthotic in, the boots are too tight. I love the style and the quality is amazing!

I love these boots! They fit well and they are really comfortable. The top is loose enough to easily tuck in your pants leg if you want to.

I am a big fan of Frye boots and the Veronica style. I have very painful feet and am on my feet...these boots not only look great but are unbelievably comfortable. I have the Veronica in the tall boot in black and brown as well. This style is like a dusty black or grey color and are unusual. I love them...

Love them. The fit a little narrow but okay. got in my usual size (after trying one size up). Look great in person-not so much in your photo. I had a feeling this would be the case. Great worn look.

This boot is fabulous! Fits perfectly in every way and was comfortable from the moment I put it on! First boots I've ever worn that didn't require a "break in period" and give me at least a few blisters. I don't have a single regret about this purchase!

Wow! Hand tooled quality is evident soon as you get these on -- they fit like a glove! Well worth the money! I will wear them around the house first though to break them in -- they are a bit stiff -- and be sure they are comfy enough for a full day of wear in NYC. So glad I treated myself at last. I think it's great that each Veronica Shortie also comes in a tall version. I will have to save my cash and treat myself to one of those as well. Step into Frye ladies -- you are worth it!

I love these boots! They are my go-to everyday boot for Fall. It took about a week of breaking the boots in and now they feel like slippers! Size was right on, too! Get them!

After reading all the reviews, I took the plunge and ordered a pair of the Shorties and Shorts. As far as shaft, they were exactly the same height. I wear an 8.5 and both fit great in a 9. The Shorties have more room overall. The Veronica Short boots run more narrow. Both styles are loose in the heel area but I have that problem with all boots. I just buy the little pads to put at the heel area and that closes the gap just fine. I love both styles of these boots. I haven't had any trouble with breaking either pair in. I can't wait to buy more Frye boots! Both styles are very comfortable for me.

I followed the advice in comments and ordered half a size bigger. It was too big. It really ran true to size. I am returning and getting my regular size.

I just love these boots! They fit great. Look awesome. Just fabulous. I have high arches and no worries because it's enough support for me. You can adjust the top width with the buckles which I did. Tightened. And once again Zappos is the best shoe store on the planet!

These boots are awesome! Well made and I will have them the rest of my life! However, I normally wear an 8.5-9, and ordered an 8.5. They were so tight and killed my heel. I wore them around the house for a couple days seeing if it would help break them in but it didn't. I returned them and ordered a 9. They just arrived today and they fit! No pain, no tightness. It's amazing how big of a difference going up a half a size made. I love them and can't wait to start wearing them! P.S. Zappos customer service is AMAZING. No problems returning or reordering whatsoever.

The Frye Veronica Shortie is an absolutely beautiful boot! Urban style meets rugged with a dash of biker, yet feminine. This purchase was a splurge for me, but now that I've worn the boot a few times, I realize, this boot is worth every single penny. So well made, sturdy, gorgeous. Very comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful soft leather, unusual distressed look and finish that goes with everything. I totally love it. Hot, hot hot! Looks great with skirts, leggings, jeans and dresses.

The top part of the boot is very thin, "glove" leather. In fact, it came quite scrunched up from the packing, yet was fine when I put them on. The shoe part of the boot is thick and boot-like, not thin like shoes, or some dressier boots. The rubber sole is great for security on wet or icy sidewalks. The way they are designed, you do not notice that you are wearing rubber soles - the proportion of the boot to the sole is perfect. They are sturdy but the glove leather on the top keeps the weight down, and keeps them more comfortable. Both buckles are adjustable, so you could tighten the instep if needed, or tighten the top part to wear with leggings. I have slightly wide feet so I usually order half a size up, and cannot wear many Frye boots. I also need an orthotic for very high arches. I ordered the half size up, put them on with the orthotics, wore a very thin dressy sock, and they fit beautifully. I would not be able to wear any Frye boot with a wool sock, but I think these will be fine in the winter because of the thick leather and the rubber sole. The burnt red is beautiful.
