I purchased this based upon an earlier review where Zappos stated this shoe weighed 14oz. I really wanted this shoe because its a beautifully crafted shoe with a larger toe box width of 4E and made with real leather and very chic. Unfortunately, it is too heavy for my foot. While I don't have a scale, It is most definitly significantly heavier compared to the Rockport Marshall PT Oxford weighing 12.2oz. Because of my "drop foot", a neurological condition related to herniated discs, I need an extremely light weight shoe otherwise it hangs down and I trip over my own feet :( For those with similar medical condition, look at the Rockport Marshall PT Oxford shoe which is still a handsome shoe and extremely light and comfortable; however, the max width is only "Wide". Although I hope it stretches a bit, the toe box is still fairly roomy and should be comfortable enough. Thank you to Zappos for their wonderful service to help me find wide shoes beaus its just about impossible to find wide shoes, especially in oxfords. Their generous return policy allows me to find shoes to accommodate my medical disability. I'm especially appreciative to be able to wear an "Oxford" rather than running shoes with my new suit so I look "normal" again!

I've been wearing these cap toe oxfords for years and only replace them after wearing them out from the inside. Fit is always excellent and there's never a worry about a "break in period." Good to go right out of the box. Waterproof capability is a plus.

Have ordered a number of shoes from Zappos, and I am never disappointed. Lately, I have wanted waterproof shoes and the first ones still look like new. Very happy with the delivery too.

Great shoe ! My husband buys these over and over again. They fit his orthotic and insert with ease and they are a great looking shoe! The fit is true and the sizing is true with a nice arch support. When these wear out we'll be back for another pair.

Recently bought these for DH. He has a neuroma and his current dress shoes were really bothering his foot. He says these are very comfortable and don't aggravate the neuroma at all. They are a little on the wide side, which he appreciates. He likes the padding around the ankle, and says visually they look good with his suits.

Love the shoe. it had to be stretched a little, but once that was done, they are very comfortable, and look very good with business/office casual. The fact that they are waterproof is great, at least insofar as walking in a moderate rain without worrying about having to put totes/rubbers on is great.

This is my 2nd and 3rd pair of Rockports. I needed some work shoes and the last pair of Rockports were so durable I got two: the Ellingwood and the Evander. I like the comfort and the rubber soles. Great work shoes!

Shoes are great. I work all day in an 80,000 square foot, concrete floor furniture store. These took a couple days for the toe box and tongue to break in, but they weren't painful. They are quite comfortable now, while looking like a dress shoe (as opposed to a clunky "comfort" shoe).

Solid shoes. Rockport is my go to shoe these days because most other shoes just don't have the same support. They take a good week to break in, but after that they are perfect. I wear these a lot so have to replace at least once a year.

This is a very nice looking shoe. It has a very nice shine and looks very dressy. Weatherproofing is a plus. But like all shoes made in China, so up a size and in a width to get it to fit best.

Very comfortable shoes in a 15 which is surprising. Quick standard delivery. Very convenient USPS tracking.

My husband has very wide feet and says these are the most comfortable dress shoes he's ever owned. He took out the insoles for added space and added a thin cushion. He loves these shoes!

This is my 2nd pair of these shoes and they are excellent. I am very hard on my feet when I travel and these shoes hold up to the rigors of running from meeting to meeting and still look good at the end of the day. Very comfortable and very durable for dress shoes.

Yeah, yeah, I know, some of you may not believe all the 'rave' reviews shown here. I, too, was skeptical but the shoes arrived quickly and they fit as well as any other shoe I've ever stepped into. Being Rockport I know the quality is second to none...and the price is about half what I'd pay in a brick-and-mortar store. I could not be more pleased. These guys are the real deal. Kudos!

I re-order these shoes every year for my son. It is the only shoe he wears because all other shoes hurt his feet so bad. I hope they never quit making this shoe. He normally wears a 13 but in this shoe I buy a size 12 in a wide so they run a little bigger than your normal shoe size. I love shopping at Zappos - my order comes right away, I never have to "track" my order and although I rarely need to return or exchange, when I do it is free and hassle free!

I was pretty apprehensive about these shoes, I carefully wore them for two hours around the house - I had failed to assess two other pairs last year and never liked them - these felt pretty reasonable. Next night, I have to go to a for a dinner dance. They were totally comfortable, all night, on my first long wear, I danced for an hour in them without any pain, blisters or regret. They fit a guy with size 14 feet right out of the box! I cannot comment about arch support as I use orthotics all the time.

Theses shoes were good out of the box. I wore them for about six hours the first day with no problems. You can always count on Rockport to have a good product in the wider widths!

I bought these to wear with a suit to a wedding. It's always hard to tell online what a shoe will look or feel like, but out of the box my first reaction was that they looked like something other than leather. They are very shiny. As a dress shoe to wear with a suit, that's okay, but they are too shiny for my tastes for much else. That's the only negative I have. I wear orthotics, and this is the first pair of dress shoes where the inserts didn't make the shoes feel "shallow." They worked beautifully. The shoes fit great, looked great with the suit and are very comfortable. For "comfortable" shoes, they look (from all angles) like conventional dress shoes. As always, the Zappos service was exceptional. I received these shoes less than 24 hours after I ordered them.
