SOOO comfortable... good by traditional shoes! And they look sharp! All those years of wearing uncomfortable shoes!! Narrow fit great. And of course Zappos rocks!

Nice shoes for walking - After trying several other brands (Johnson and Murphy being the priciest), I returned to Rockports. I am a big guy and have had issues with comfortable shoes. These shoes have style and comfort. I wore them around the house for a total of 4 hours before wearing them for a seminar. Excellent comfort and great looks! I have high insteps and high arches and these are very comfortable. I admit I have not tried them with my orthotics, but I can say I am well pleased with these and will look to Rockports in the future.

Great Shoe! I really love these shoes. This is my second pair (I had my last pair for almost three years and wore them a lot!). They can be worn with anything from jeans to my tuxedo, and are very comfortable and durable.

Wonderful shoes - Always a pleasure to wear Rockport shoes. These are shoes that you can order online and they always fit. Put them on right out of the box with no problems at all!

Sound like hollow heels. I walk on concrete and pavement, I'm a car salesman. I have to wear orthotics in my shoe and wear a narrow size. For a while I've been wearing a Red Wing walking shoe for comfort. But they never did take on a really dressy appearance. So I'm experimenting with different shoes now for comfort, appearance, and for durability. When I walk I can hear the heels, it sounds like they are hollow. It really takes away from the shoe. I think in the future I'll look for a rubber bottom. Any suggestions??????

Different fit - Great, good-looking shoe, but felt a little wider than marked across the ball of my foot -- heel felt just right.

Review of the Ellingwood - Took a day or two, because of my feet, not the shoes, but they are very comfortable. They look great. And they cover up my feet. And, I like the way Zappos does business.

Another Purchase - I buy all my shoes from Zappos. This is just one more purchase. When my shoes arrive, I know the Rockports will fit just right. I wear orthotics in my shoes and these have served me well for over 25 years of buying Rockport shoes. Buying from Zappos makes it very easy. The service is great.

Great Shoe - I frequently buy Rockport because I have wide feet and Rockport EE shoes are sized just perfect. More importantly - they are always consistent in their sizes. I have bought many pairs of Rockports - all EE and all have fit the same. Although the insole is good in the Rockport, I have orthodics, so their insole is removable which is nice. I have bought other shoes where it is glued in which is not good when you need to use orthodics. I have found Rockports to look good and last long. These shoes certainly look good and I'm confident they will last a long time.

I got this boot in the suede and it is very cute. It is the only boot I could find that fit my calves comfortably with a heel. I own several pairs of Bandolino pumps and they have the best heel height for being on my feet at work all day. My only grief is that the brand isn't the best quality (I don't expect them to last more than a year with weekly use). I think they're pretty true to size. I wear an 8.5 and that's what I ordered - roomy, but not too big.

Wide feet - These shoes were quite satisfactory. My husband has difficulty finding shoes because of his wide foot. Zappos was the only place I was able to find an extra wide shoe. They fit perfectly and he reports they are comfortable.

Outstanding Customer Service... As Always! I am very pleased with the shoe(s), but what I want to emphasize is the Zappos customer service. I have been a customer for many years, and have always been happy. This time, through MY own fault, I ordered too late to receive the shoes before leaving town. The service rep, without hesitation, offered to upgrade me to next day delivery--the shoes, she said, would leave the next day and arrive a day after. BUT THE SHOES THEMSELVES ACTUALLY ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY! Kudos to Zappos!!

This is one of the great shoes I own. It fits right out of the box but its edge hurt my ankle the first time I wear it and I ran to CVS in the middle of my walk to get bandages. Otherwise its comfortable and looks great.

Roomy Shoe - I am not the best one to review shoes. Being handicapped my feet are not in good shape. I found the inner sole that came with this shoe to be painful, so I took it out and put in a pillow sole and leather innersole. Now the shoe is very comfortable and room enough to add padded inner soles. This is my second pair.

This shoe rocks! This shoe is incredibly comfortable for its style. I have narrow feet with high arches and I usually wear an 11 in anything but a sneaker, and an 11 M fit me perfectly. This shoe feels closer to a sneaker than a dress shoe, and it looks great dressed up, or with jeans and my leather jacket. I placed my order for these on a Friday night, and Zappos upgraded my shipping to next day for free! They arrived around 3 p.m. the following Monday. I am thrilled with this shoe, and thrilled with Zappos amazing service.

Excellent Shoe - I love the Rockport Ellingwood shoe. I bought two of them black and cordovan. They were extremely comfortable by just the close of the first day of wearing them. They look smart and can be worn as either business casual shoes or casual shoes. The removable insole is an important feature for me as I wear orthotics. I recommend them to anyone to buy as long as you are not looking for a dressy or more formal business shoe.

Rockports Rock - This is my first pair of Rockport shoes. I have a size 15/16 shoe and I usually have to settle for just what fits. I ordered these shoes for Homecoming which meant that I was going to be on my feet all night and dancing. The shoes were awesome!

I bought this pair for the low price and the style. I needed to replace my old Rockport Office Essentials, which are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had, but this pair was about $40 less on the initial sale offered. I like the heel, which the integrated sole of my former Rockports do not have; presumably, I can replace just the heel when it wears down. The Ellingwoods are not as comfortable as the former ones (not Ellingwood capped-style, just plain), but they seem to be breaking in fairly well after about a week of use. The fit, for some reason, is not quite the same, though both are 9M; the new ones seem just a bit looser at the back. The waterproof feature may be useful. My real only complaint is that they are squeaking somewhat. I hope this ends soon.

Great shoes very confortable

I bought these for my husband, who loved them. He has a very wide foot. However, they ran a bit too small. I will need to exchange them for the next size.

Overall the shoe is very comfortable. I could wear it all day and it doesn't cause any fatigue with my feet. The color looks a little dull. It looks like an office shoe. Nothing fancy. Nothing that makes me say oh WOW. However, my only gripe is with the left shoe. My left little toe rubs against the outside of the shoe. I'm sure it will get better with time, but for now that's how it is. I would buy it again. I would not buy extras to keep around to quickly replace my current shoe if my current shoe were to wear down all the way.

Unlike previous pairs of Rockport, this one has taken a few wears to break in. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my purchase.
