I ordered this in the larger size, based on reviews, but it was too big, so I exchanged it for my usual size, but it was really uncomfortable. I loved the look, but the arch was bumpy and uncomfortable and since I want these to wear without socks, it was really unnerving. If I'm going to pay $100 for shoes, they should feel great. I've had stilletos with smoother insoles!

Pretty, comfy, but flawed - I was so happy with the look and comfort of this shoe. But after wearing it for a short period of time I found that the strap does not stay buckled down so it was constantly loosening and then my heel would slip. So the shoe doesn't work if you have a narrowish heel.

Not quite the same as my old Ahnu Benicia’s - These don't fit quite as nicely as the other shoe that I have in the same size but different color. I even had the box and I went back to be sure I had the right size when I ordered and I did. They run a little short so they aren't as comfortable as the other pair. :(

Strap doesn’t hold up to use... Honestly I loved these shoes. Cute and in my color! I got LOTS of compliments on them and they felt good walking, but the strap that keeps them on your feet doesn’t hold up. It’s sad to say, but I had to return these as "defective" because of that and go with a different kind. The plastic buckle has "teeth" on it that bite down on the strap to keep the strap from slipping, but after 2 months of use every day, the teeth have nearly torn through the strap. You would have NEVER known you would have this problem with a nylon strap like that, but I have to wonder if the strap was torn apart by the type of teeth they use on the buckle. I have other shoes like this with the nylon strap and buckle and have never had this problem, so something to think about because it would be VERY hard to fix this with a shoe repair store because the strap is sewn into the body. Also, it would be impossible to color match. You may want to think of that if you want these shoes long term.

Pretty comfy, pretty cute - I got this shoe as a comfy summer sneaker and I think it's pretty perfect for that. The heels are a bit stiff rub a little, I think they'll require a little breaking in before I can wear them without socks. Otherwise, they're light and comfy and breathable, hopefully will be great spring/summer walking shoes.

Good looking shoe but it gave me blisters - The heel of this shoe is very hard and gave me terrible blisters on both feet. I suggest breaking these in before using them to walk any long distances.

Ouch - These shoes are adorable looking. Put them on and fell in love...felt great!!! THEN I walked for about 10 -15 minutes and the back of my heels (since the shoe is soo high up in the rear) were BLEEDING. It's been a week and I am just starting to be able to wear any shoe comfortably!! Many recommendations suggest adding gel heel inserts, but I haven't decided what I'm going to do with them yet...just a bit disappointed...

Ouch - The heel of these shoes is not padded enough. The stitching at the top of the heel dug into my foot and caused major blisters. I liked them so much I tried to wear them multiple times to break them in. They still hurt. These guys are going back.

Cute, but not comfy for me - I loved looking at these shoes online and I ordered them despite the reviews. They didn't work for me. They didn't feel very sturdy and weren't comfortable. Also, the buckle seems sort of flimsy. They are nice and light weight, but comfort is my main concern and they didn't work for me. I have a wide foot and that might be my problem. I did think the foot bed felt good, and they are cute.

Lots of cushioning but I should have paid attention to people who said that they had problem with the back of the shoe rubbing against the heel. I was looking for a good walking shoe for commuting since I have to do a lot of walking and running up and down the subway stairs. I was disappointed. It was comfortable inside the house but once I did some serious walking outside I discovered the problem with the heel. Now it's too late to return it.

Adorable, but oy my Achilles! The most adorable shoe & they would be the most comfortable except for the fact that the back digs into my tendon, like another reviewer wrote. I couldn't part with them so I purchased some silicone 1/4" heel lifts from amazon.com and they worked perfectly. Now they're comfortable & I'm glad I didn't have to return them. I did purchase up a half size which do fit but I think going up a full size would have been ok too. Also: they're very breathable so going sock less is totally fine (even if you have sweaty feet).

No luck with these - It's such a cute shoe, but even the half-size larger was too short and the rest got too wide. Plus they really rub on the ankles. I'm really sad these didn't work out.

The style of this shoe is ideal; however, it is not as comfortable as it looks, especially when the strap constantly loosens as one walks. They’re way too expensive to have that kind of problem!

OUCH!!! Oh my goodness these hurt like crazy! They seemed to fit nicely in the store, but I had blisters on both heels before five minutes of walking was up. I tried with socks, without, wearing a little at a time to break in, nothing worked. I threw them out.

Bad fit, not comfortable - I love the way this shoe looks and really wanted it to work, but it was way too uncomfortable. I also ordered the Keen Amsterdams, which are almost identical in looks and the comfort and fit didn't compare. It was a no brainer to buy the Keens. Also, I ordered this shoe a 1/2 size larger due to the comments, but that was way too big for me. I would say it would be more true to fit except for the width.

ugh - according to the reviews, tried it in 1/2 size larger than usual & also ordered in usual size. Neither fit! Usual size is too tight; 1/2 size larger is too big. Don't like how high the back is, rubs the back of my heal. Arch didn't fit my arch on either size.

Cute, but not practical - Adorable shoes (I love the burgundy color), but very strange fit - far too short, a stiff heel at a weird angle that rubs, a chintzy buckle with a strap inches too long, etc.

Poor quality - Had to send these back due to stitching coming undone and lining pulling out. Closing webbing drags on ground and is annoying. Footbed is thin and unsupportive. Not impressed at all.

Blisters galore! Do the people who made this shoe have human feet? Did they try them out first? The fit is just off somehow. The back chaffed my heel something awful and the instep strap is in the wrong spot and also chaffed because it's not well padded. The buckle also doesn't hold worth $%&#. Try again Ahnu... back these go for some more Keens.

No thanks! Fit and length seemed OK but the heel rubbed my Achilles and the strap buckle didn't hold very well. The strap was too long and dragged on the ground. The Ahnu Benicia is a real disappointment. BTW, I have the original of this style, the Seattle by Keen and love the fit and comfort. Ahnu has a lot of work to do to try to compete.

Sorry I’ll have to return, but just doesn't fit - Even on my smaller foot, my toe is crammed up against the front of the shoe. Won’t get a larger size b/c I believe those would be too wide.
