Cute and comfortable - These are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned. I did get them 1/2 larger than I normally wear, but then added a "SuperFeet" insole to make them fit better. And they fit perfectly -- I think for many this would solve the rubbing heel.

Just what I wanted - I was looking for a cool, lightweight shoe with a fun look for chasing my two-year old around the park this summer. This shoe is perfect for that. The soft lining and mesh fabric makes it a perfect sock-less summer shoe. The quick-release strap makes for easy on-and-off. The super-cushy footbed leaves my feet and legs feeling great even after hours of walking or standing. It does come up a little high on the heel, but not enough to bother me. I often find that shoes are cut too low in the back for my comfort so if you often find them cut too high you might find this shoe uncomfortable. Also, I usually wear a 7.5 or 8.0. The 8.0 was too short--my toes hit the end--and I had to exchange it for an 8.5.

Easy to fix the heel problem - I, too, was rubbed raw by the back of the shoe but I solved the problem with a rubbery Dr. Scholl's heel insert. The shoe runs a bit wide, but so are similar shoes and sandals by Keen, Merrell, etc.; the mary jane strap on these keeps my foot in place.

Comfortable and stylish shoes - These shoes are wonderful! I wear them with pants and skirts. I walk all day and have no problems with sore feet.

Great except the straps come loose as you walk. Nothing I've tried has corrected this. Definitely a design flaw. If it wasn't for this, it would be a great shoe.

Nice comfy, airy shoes, but straps really dig in to the tops of my feet. Have to wear bandaids or else blood.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for, as far as a sporty mary jane styles go. Not only are they quite comfortable, but my mom even said they make my foot look smaller (I wear a size eleven). My only complaint is that the strap loosens as you walk, which makes them a little looser than my liking. I am considering having a cobbler affix velcro to hold the strap in place.

These look adorable. Plan on trying them on at a store tomorrow (that doesn't carry the cornflower blue). If they fit well, I'm gonna order them here ASAP. I am planning to fix the strap problem by stitching a little velcro (hook & loop) on the outside of the shoe under buckle and the back of the tail end of strap to secure it and prevent the slide problem mentioned throughout.

Captures my spirit - This shoe is extremely cute. I bought it in mushroom. I feel like a fairy in an enchanted forest. It has a nice understated sporty look to it, which is pretty hip these days. One problem I have with it is the clasp, which is not extremely durable. This would be the perfect shoe if there was some other device in place of it. (It was extremely fun to open/close at first, but after a few days it became noticeably less optimally-functioning.) What's more, I don't like the look of the clasp. It kind of kills the shoe's charm, cheapens it somewhat. Another problem, which I didn't anticipate, is that the shoe has a sort of revealing hole on the top, which makes picking socks to wear with it kind of annoying. (And you have to wear socks with it, otherwise you will get blisters.) But on balance, it is well worth it, because this shoe is really phenomenal. I also feel it incumbent upon me to dissipate the reports of this shoe being very uncomfortable/causing blisters. This is simply not true, unless you bought shoes too small. Also, you will obviously get blisters if you don't wear socks.

Cute red shoes - I bought these to wear on a walking trip. The back of the shoe is higher than my tennis shoes so I came home with some blisters, but overall, they are great! The arches are perfect and they are really CUTE!

Nice shoe, if you like them wide - I found these shoes to be comfortable almost immediately. My only quibble is that they are slightly too wide for my B feet, but if I had ordered a smaller size, they would definitely have been too short. As it is, they're a little close in the toe, but still very wearable. I would discourage people with narrow feet from buying these shoes.

Cute shoe, but don't use for long treks - I was looking for a shoe to take with me when traveling, which could be used with shorts or skirts. The shoe is quite cute, but doesn't exactly fit my foot correctly. First off, I wore it without socks, and my feet because sweaty after a few hours of walking. The length was a little short, but if I went up a size, it was too wide. Also, the heel did some definite rubbing. I used the heel pads, which helped solve the slipping. However, the arch support worked well for me (I have flat, wide feet) and wasn't too intrusive. It's a cute shoe for wearing around with some capris for a casual afternoon, but didn't fit the bill of taking it traveling for day-long walking.

I love these shoes. The one tiny nit pick is that the ribbon to secure them is a bit delicate. Perhaps the manufacturer can make it out of a tougher material. That is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. They are wonderfully comfortable.

Not all I dreamed - Really cute but not the comfort I assumed. BAD blisters in the first hour of wearing and even wearing them over really didn't seem to help.

Cute and sporty little shoe - Just got these shoes - have a slightly wide foot and after a little breaking in (do a day with socks to avoid rubbing on those baby toes) they are fantastic. I'm a stay at home mom and these have become my new all-around shoes. So adorable!

Cute Comfy Shoe - I wear this shoe with short socks, so I haven't had any problems with the beel problem that a lot of others have noted. It is about 1/2 size smaller than normal and super comfortable, especially if you have wide feet like I do. It is light and feels like you're walking with tennis shoes... well cushioned and good support.

Mary Jane tennis shoe - This is pretty comfortable, but one shoe did have a very stiff heel that I am still breaking in by wearing these with socks.

Ahnu Benecia - Good, but a bit stubby looking shoe. Needed a half size larger in length (which I got), but the width is about a half size too wide making the shoe hard to wear without socks. The fastening is not easy to adjust.

Versatile shoes - I'm not totally in love with this shoe because of the heel rubbing problem, but it does have very deep insoles that come out, so I replaced them with two layers to give me a cushy, custom feel. Once I got enough padding under my heels and pushed down on the backs of the shoes a bit, the heel rubbing is manageable. I wear them with thick socks for another layer of cushioning, so they don't feel quite as breathable as I thought they would be despite being made of mesh. The red color is more of a purple-red than an orange-red, so it can be hard to coordinate with other clothes.

Cute weekend shoe - These shoes are designed by the same guys who were on the Keen team. They do run about a half size small, but they are very comfortable for walking around town and chasing after kids and cats. Neither Keens nor Crocs interest me much. They look great on children, but I think a bit silly for an adult. Ahnu is just right for the urban stroll.

I thought they were comfortable shoes, but too narrow for an orthotic. I wore them to work and they were quite comfy. I work at a coffee and on my feet for 8 hours and my feet were fine at the end of my shift. I am now told we are not allowed to wear mary janes to work so I need to find another comfortable pair of shoes.

Ahnu - Great shoes! Order half size up like all the reviews say to do. I got cuts on my heels and they rubbed my toes a little at first, but no worse than any other shoe I've worn sockless. Just wore them for 2 weeks in Italy and they were terrific. Definitely getting a 2nd pair for dog walking (my job).

Super Cute But Shoes Need Help - I loved the look of these shoes, but they totally rubbed my heel. Like other users, I got some Dr. Scholl’s heel inserts and they fit much better now. Also, you might need to go up more than 1/2 a size.

Achilles heel - They're great, very cushy, and versatile; however, they give me blisters on my heels, the only uncomfortable spot. They might break in. I've worn them 10-15 times, we'll see.

Terrific cushioning but too short - Exactly what I was looking for to walk around France this summer without that "clunky tennies" look, but (1) there's not enough length for my toes ... and I've never had that problem with any other shoes... and (2) the top of the heel cuts in a bit. Back these go with the hope that a half-size larger will work.
