The Madrid - This sandal is very comfortable. The footbed is a little long but that's ok because it's an open shoe. I had to adjust the buckle to conform to my size. Just perfect! I ordered two pairs because the Madrid is not always available. Thank you Zappos - I now own six pairs of Birkenstocks!

I wore these pretty much every day all summer long, so I now feel qualified to leave a review! It took a day or two to break in the strap (i wore a band-aid across the top of my foot where the edge was rubbing) and for the bed to mold to my foot shape. If you have worn Birkenstocks before, you know that the foot bed starts out a bit odd but then becomes SUPER comfortable with a bit of wear. That's exactly what happened with mine. As I said, I ended up wearing them constantly, including days during which I walked miles on city sidewalks. They still look as good as new, with no visible wear on the strap, and the soles have not worn down. Bought a half size down, just bc Birks normally feel so wide to me. Very happy with this purchase.

These are pretty. You can just slip them on and slip them off. Great for FLorida and a little dressier than flipflops

I love these sandals! I bought a Betula pair while on vacation in France and these are the closest I have come to replacing them. I love the white bottom. So cute. So comfortable.

Very cute and comfortable. I am a size 7 and the 37 fit perfectly (room around the edges). The 38 was too large.

I have them on right now! They are very comfortable! They remind me of the Dr. Scholls that I wore in the late 70's, except these are comfortable.

These are very comfortable and true to size. I have had a different pair of Birkenstocks for 5 years and wanted a cooler and updated version with comfort. These did the trick! They are the first thing I put on when I get home from work and I live in them on the weekends.

I love these Birks! I have a pair in Navy from last year and I wore them all the time. I need the support they offer but they do not look clunky on my foot. I have never liked white sandals because the usually look so, well obvious. Like that's all you see when they are on someone. But not with these. I saw a woman in them and grabbed my phone to order a pair from Zappos! The fit, the style and the touch of shinny white have made me a believer of white sandals. Thanks Zappos.

Love how streamlined this Birk is. Comfortable as this brand has always been for me. The 39 narrow is the perfect fit for my US size 9 feet. Make sure to really break in before you take these as your walking shoes to Europe. You'll be glad you did as the footbed becomes more like a slipper with each wear. I thought I'd mind the black buckle (wanted silver, however there was no white available with a silver buckle), but I don't in the least.

I was kind of nervous to order these because I could only find "narrow" width and I have feet that are a little wider than average. I knew that Birks usually run wide anyway though so I thought I'll just order them and see because there is free shipping and returns, so why not? They fit perfectly. I'm not even on the last hole. I actually have tightened them pretty tight. I have pretty much broken them in. I wore them to Cali and wore them all day before breaking them in, and I will not lie my feet hurt at the end of the day. However, in comparison to any other sandal it was not bad at all, and it definitely broke them in.

Love Birkenstock Madrid. I have a narrow foot and these are perfect. I always order a size down. Both work work but sizing down fits my foot better. So glad they are on trend right now! Thanks Zappos for your great choices and customer service!! Free shipping is great as well!

I got my pair a few days ago and have been wearing them indoors trying to decide if I should keep them or return them. What made me hesitate was that it does feel a bit big, like I would need a half size smaller. But after reading the reviews I have decided to keep them. They are very cute, comfortable and I believe I could walk for hours in them.

Cute shoes with good support. Do order one size smaller than your size -- they do run large. Also order the narrow if you have a normal width foot as they are also roomy. Quick and easy to break in -- just wear a couple of hours each day in house for about 4-5 days and shoes fits great. Will buy other colors down the line.

Shoes are so nice and pretty. I wish they made them in a wide version but the narrow are okay. This is my second pair of Birkenstocks and they are like my favorite shoes. I wear them almost every day.

This would have been perfect if I had feet shaped like the sole. As I have a longer second toe, the ridges do not match up with the bottom of my feet.

I've been wearing these in another color and just purchased them in white. They are cute and comfortable. I guess some people find the strap annoying but I find this style of Birk more comfortable than other styles. Zappos delivered them nearly instantly.

At last, a comfy replacement for the beloved Dr. Scholl's exercise sandal! My middle-aged tootsies have lost that cushiony fatty padding on the bottoms so the Dr. Scholl's hard wood soles have become uncomfortable for me. These are comfy and cute. I've always worn 39 Narrow in Birkenstocks and 39 Narrow is perfect in these. Don't find the Birko-strap to be at all uncomfortable either. So far I'm pleased with this sandal!

This is a really cute pair. The bottom is comfortable but the strap doesn't give at all when walking. These will be returned.

Too big, too wide - I should have "listened" to the other reviewers who said that this shoe ran larger than regular Birkenstocks. I have been wearing Birks for decades and am presently wearing a pair of clogs size 40 that fit me perfectly. The size 40 in these sandals were humongous! I liked the color and style and will return them for a size 39, and then if those are too big, will try a 38. As you can see, I really do like these sandals!

Birkenstock Madrid - I've worn Birks for years, mostly Arizonas but wanted to try another style. It's taking a few days to break the Madrid in, but I can already tell it will be fine once it's broken into. I love the gold color and now want to buy an Ibiza also! I'm usually an 8 1/2 (39) but purchased a siza 38. I went to the Birkenstock store to try them for fit.

Birkenstocks get posh - What a great birk. i've been wearing birkenstocks for years, but never fully gave the clunky shoe any fashion credit. Until now! These are the best birks ever. True, they aren't as stable on the feet as other birks, but they simply feel like flip-flops. I've gotten so many compliments in the past two days I'm considering buying another pair!

Comfort at its best! My whole family now has at least one pair of Birkenstock each. Even my kids now wear them. May have to try a few different sizes before finding out which is for you. I have these in the 9-9 1/2, but in reg shoes I wear a 10. Once you get used to the feel of these shoes you'll love them!!---Happy feet in Michigan---

great shoe - Great shoe with good look, quality, and comfort that I enjoy wearing on a daily basis. I did have to down a whole shoe size and go to a Narrow width which I don't normally do.
