Great running shoe -
Very light, great support for kids feet, my boy says they make him run fast because they are so light weight, they look cool too, very athletic look.

My son loves them!
This is our second pair of this exact same shoe. My son just loves them. He has fine motor skill issues, but he's able to put these on and take them off with no problem, thanks to the neat velcro. The good news is the velcro doesn't make them look like an old man shoe. They're still cool looking. My son's occupational therapist actually took one of his shoes, photocopied it, and shows them to other parents who have kids with motor skill issues! She can't get over how lightweight they are and she loves the way they're designed. They suit our needs to a "T"! The first pair lasted our son from August to the end of December, which doesn't seem that long, but our son is REALLY hard on his shoes. I was very comfortable getting another pair of the exact same shoe for him. He loves the comfort of these shoes because he, too, hates the stiff, hard sneakers that so many stores carry. Use the size chart on this website and you shouldn't have any problem with sizing.

Finally! Glad to have found these shoes. My 6 year old son needs a wide width due to high insteps. These fit perfectly, and are cool (looks and comfort.)We weren't able to find wide width shoes in the stores after the back to school rush, but Zappos had two pages in his size. He picked these, and he made a good choice. He wears the same shoes every day; doesn't like to rotate them, and wears them hard. These don't seem to show any wear at all! The fit instructions said to order 2 sizes down as they run large. Since they weren't available in that size, I ordered one size down, and they are a perfect fit. They do not have a wide boxy look, but have plenty of room. A little pricey, but worth it. Zappos customer service and speed of shipping were excellent.

Makes 'em run faster!
My son has always worn Stride Rite shoes, but lately I've been disappointed in their quality--especially the weight of them. I've found that the Tsukihoshi shoes are superior to the Stride Rites in every way. The quality of construction is superb, and they are so lightweight that we jokingly say they make my son run faster. Plus, the way they're made shoes that the Tsukihoshi folks know kids---the tongue is attached to the top of the shoe along one side, so it can't slip down. Also, there is one velcro strap rather than two, which makes it much easier for little hands to open and close. These are our first pair of Tsukihoshis, but they won't be the last! I just wish they came in adult sizes too!
Note: we bought these shoes just one size smaller, not two as recommended, and they fit beautifully.

Super shoes -
My son said when he saw these shoes, "wow, thanks mom for letting me have cool shoes!" These are so stylish. The surface is kind of shiny and we will see how that lasts, but so far it serves to resist dirt. These shoes are very easy to get on and off with velcro closure.
They are only about a half-size bigger than marked -- most of this is because the toe box is wider than usual. This makes the shoes very comfortable but not for narrow feet.
Machine washability is a big plus -- just drop them in the washer and set them on top of the drier to dry -- not inside!
Just another note -- this is a very light-weight shoe. Probably best for dry, easy climates like San Diego.

Great light weight shoe!
I was very happy with this shoe and I plan on ordering another pair in a different color. My son is a special needs kid and has flat feet and I always had a hard time finding a light weight shoe for him that he could walk/run in. These were the answer to my long search for a good light weight shoe for my kid.

We're hooked!
Both of my children got a pair of these last spring (2006) and we were all amazed how light they were upon arrival. They are also easy to take care of - toss in wash to clean. No laces to mess with (if you don't mind that your kids still haven't learned how to properly tie their shoes!). And for the most part, good-looking. Perhaps not my choice in styling but the kids LOVE their look! They have been by far their first choice to wear consistently day in and day out for the past 7 months. My son's are just starting to show some wear, but his feet have out-grown them and he is really hard on his shoes - kicking, running, tumbling, hiking, biking, scuffing in gravel, etc. If I'm not mistaken, you have to buy them smaller than your child's actual measured shoe size. We trusted what the recommendations on this site said, & they fit perfectly.

At last!
Couldn't have been easier! My son has wide feet, so it's harder to find. He LOVES these shoes, says they feel very light, he feels air in his shoes (despite cold climate says feet are still warm), and wants the same kind for his next pair! We already ordered the next size up. What a great shoe!!!

Great shoes!
My son loves these shoes. He has a wide foot and these fit great. Light weight and easy off and on. I will be ordering a second pair soon. These are sized somewhat large. He wears a 5 and we ended up with a 4 (the 3 was too small, 4 fit great with room to grow).

Red loving boy with wide feet happy as can be -
My son cannot tie his shoes - still. He has super wide feet and red has been his favorite color all his 7 year old life. I went ahead and bought both the size 1 and size 2. When the ones got too small (the advice about sizing is correct - this shoe is oddly sized) he happily switched into the 2. His first report after putting them one was that he could "feel" his feet "breathe." They are super lightweight and durable - he walks about 3 miles a day in them and the ones I threw out were still in good shape, sole wise. I am going to go ahead and buy the 3 and 4s just in case they stop making them in this style / color.

Great looking hard to find correct size -
We followed the recommended guideline and ordered a size smaller than needed (size 2 1/2W), well that didn't work they where too small. So we reordered with no problems and got a size bigger oh my gosh they where huge (my other son who is in a 5W could wear it that made it 1 1/2 sizes larger than marked)!!!! How could you go from a 2 1/2 to a 3 1/2 and have at least 1 1/2 inches in length added, this shoe is really an odd size fit. Be prepared when ordering, I am now on my third order and hopefully last to find the right size for my son and now of course my older son wants a pair for himself. So the looks are great but the fit is strange.

Disappointing fit -
We were disappointed in the sizing of this show. We had a 13.5 in another style from the same manufacturer. We were expecting to go to a 1.5 in this company's bigger fit size. But, the 1.5 seems too small and uncomfortable. By the time I figured it out that my autistic son didn't like these shoes, it was money out the window. (Make that times 2 for the spare pair). Autistic kids complain by taking the shoes off constantly. The teacher reported constant "shoes off." Not a good thing.

Great looking shoe; we were drawn to the hook and latch. My son is still rusty on tying his shoes. However, I must WARN you--after 7/8 weeks these shoes have fallen apart! Very poor quality. The bottoms of both shoes have completely worn down to where the rubber is separating. Very disappointed!

Great shoes. My kid loves them. They\'re lightweight, flexible, and a little wide for wider feet. Easy on and off.\r\n\r\nOne caveat: Zappos recommendation is to size down .5 size. I had to size down one whole size.\r\n\r\nWould definitely buy again.

This is my son\'s 5th pair of Tsukihoshi sneakers- he loves them! and so do I! They are light weight, durable and machine washable- and they look great. He used to only want the Geox sneakers, but once I got him to try the Tsukihoshi sneakers (after I picked them up and felt how light they were, and the salesman told me they were machine washable!)\r\nI just bought my daughter another pair as well- love, love love them!

My son's feet gets extremely hot and he always complains that the shoes are too tight and when he gets home his socks are wet. The Tsukihoshi shoes help his feet breathe but yet they have excellent arch support.

Another awesome shoe from Tsukihoshi -
My son and daughter wear this brand of sneaker exclusively. My son picked this style out in blue/white and red/black. He loves them so much! They look really cool, have lots of reflective spots, and best of all, they are machine washable! That is my favorite quality of this brand. Gotta love the easy cleaning.

Pretty good shoe, but not great. Soles have gotten thin and today they ripped 1/2 down the side. I would have liked a bit more than 5 months wear, but he is an active 7 year old.
