Solid. My first pair of Hush Puppies--I was impressed. I never pictured myself buying a pair of HPs, but I needed something comfortable to wear to work and everything else was too "old fashioned" or too uncomfortable. These shoes are also contemporary enough to wear with jeans or khakis in a pinch. They're certainly very comfortable and waterproof. They are also airport friendly. I would highly recommend these shoes.

I am on my second pair of the Hush Puppy Ventures and I highly recommend this shoe. I am a commercial pilot and I wear this shoe as my uniform shoe. The first pair I had lasted two years and I wore them over fifteen days a month, every month, logging hundreds of miles of walking to, from, and through airports. There is no metal in these shoes so they are TSA friendly and extremely light. They are waterproof and the rubber sole, in addition to its long life, provides a good amount of traction on wet and icy surfaces. The styling is attractive and these shoes look just like shoes that cost twice as much. I normally wear a 9.5 but I wear a 10 in these shoes. I would not necessarily say they run a half-size small, it is just that I can comfortably wear a half-size bigger without the shoe feeling loose. This provides me a little more room for those days in which I have to wear these shoes for 12-14 hours. Overall, an excellent shoe and an amazing value for the price.

Bought these shoes for myself for service meetings. Love them, so comfortable and dressy looking. Love the fact they are waterproof. Bought a second pair today for my 15 year old son.

Great Shoes for Special Feet - I need a shoe with a wider than normal toe box and the Venture is perfect. The wide size fits very well and the construction is solid and stable. I tried for several years before finding this line and have bought several pairs because I hear it is being phased out.

All day comfort. Great comfort, even after 13 hour days! Enough said.

Good Results - Found this site very useful since I find it difficult to find the right fit in walk-in stores. Even the bigger department stores rarely have my size (12W) in stock. The service was also in a timely manner and right to my door. This style shoe is very comfortable.

Great shoes for orthotics - It is really difficult to find shoes that are deep enough to accommodate orthotics when the inserts are removed. These shoes fit them perfectly. The inner arch leather is also firm enough to support a foot that collapses. The upper leather is so flexible, there aren't wear creases at the toes that I usually notice within a few weeks in other shoes.

I ordered these for my husband. He loves them. He said that they were comfortable right away, didn't need any time to break them in at all. Like walking on a cloud. Wish they came in a brown as well.

Feet went numb after wearing these a couple hours. Also the leather looks worn right away.

I absolutely love these shoes! Great looks and very high quality leather that resists scuffs. I've worn them now 5 days a week for 4 months. I haven't needed to polish them yet and the soles show very little signs of wear. They should last for several years. They hold their shape very well and look great with slacks. Very professional and classy. They are extremely comfortable right out of the box. I love that the tongue is padded, so they're very easy on the instep, adding to the extreme comfort. I wore Clark's for over 10 years and always wore a size 9.5 W. On my 4th pair, they were not wide enough, even though I was buying the same shoe in the same size. I tried 2 different styles only to find out that Clark's changed where they make their shoes and their sizes are different now. None are wide enough for my feet. I saw these Hush Puppy's and love the style. The 9.5 wide was still not wide enough, so I'm so glad they have an extra wide that fit perfect! I'm also extremely thankful for Zappos phenomenal customer service. They are simply the best and I will never buy shoes from any other online store.

The shoes are very comfortable. The heel is not as high as most men’s dress shoes, which I like. They seem to have more padding and/or arch support than the dress shoes I’ve worn before.

Pleased shopper - I bought these shoes for my husband and he likes them a lot. He was very happy that they are truly airport friendly and do not set off the metal detector at the airport.

Great Casual Shoes! I have been very impressed with Hush Puppies shoes, even though the name is one to question. Even though I have my second (and different style) pair and I love them. They are so comfortable and stylish too. They will not replace dress shoes but for upscale casual they cannot be beat. Very comfortable, I traveled with my first pair to Italy and my feet were great.

Great shoe - Very comfortable and good looking shoe. Can wear them all day with no pain. This is one of the best buys for the money.

My first pair of Hush Puppies. They are one of the few brands that make a 3E width. Comfortable walking around campus. I myself could do with a bit more cushioning but they are the most comfortable work shoes I have purchased at this price point. I give them 4 stars, as I believe everything can get better.

I bought these for my husband who is diabetic and he really likes them. He doesn\'t wear them everyday but he says they are a comfortable pair of shoes that are good for when dressing up.

Comfortable - The shoes have been a pleasant surprise; they fit well, look pretty good and are very comfortable. I generally do not like rubber-soled dress shoes, but these are more than passable.

Stylish and comfortable working shoe - This shoe is comfortable and stylish. I can wear it with slacks or use them to dress up my jeans for casual day.

Hush puppies - This shoe felt great when I tried them on and used them in the house for a day. However, after a day at work my feet were killing me. I had to eventually take them off and put another pair of shoes on. I eventually had to purchase a pair of insoles that helped tremendously. I'm disappointed that I had to spend additional $ after the fact. They do look nice and after the insole purchase, I can't complain

I have a very high instep and a wide foot. Over the years I have become accustomed to buying shoes that feel "okay" or even "okay once you break them in." The Hush Puppies Venture are far and away the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased - and actually were that comfortable the very first time I put them on. No breaking in. No getting used to. And amazingly, not only do they feel good, but they look good. I'm a lawyer and I had become accustomed to wearing less comfortable but more courtroom-appropriate shoes when I go to court. These shoes are just fine for court and for everything else. On the weekends I have to remember NOT to put them on. No exaggeration. Best. Shoes. Ever.
