I normally wear a double E and these were perfect. They are hush puppy comfortable out of the box. And I've not even broken them in yet. Very classy Hush Puppies too.

I've only had these shoes for about a week, so it's a bit premature to give a thorough evaluation. But so far, I've been fairly well pleased. I have very wide feet, so it's extremely difficult for me to find shoes that fit properly. I tried and returned three other pairs of black dress size 10, 3E width shoes (thanks, Zappos!) before finding a good, true fit with the Hush Puppies Venture. They fit comfortably right out of the box (possibly even a little on the large side in the heel box), and appear to be pretty well constructed. Not the most stylistically appealing shoes you'll find, but they should work well for anyone in need of a wider width. The good news is that they're waterproof, so they'll keep your feet dry in inclement weather. But the bad news is also that they're waterproof, so already they are feeling a bit "airtight", and they cause my feet to sweat more than the average shoe. Will need to wait and see if that leads to a possible foot odor issue sometime down the road. Overall though, I would recommend this shoe as basic, serviceable footwear for business casual attire or possibly even more formal needs.

These are very comfortable dress shoes in an informal office. The shoes are waterproof which has pluses and minuses. If it rains, your feet are dry, if it is very hot, your feet stay damp. I am happy with the purchase as the shoes are broken in.

Nice shoes, however I was a little disappointed that the wide shoes did not have a higher instep. Took a while to break in, but in general good shoes.

I bought these a few years ago and have only worn them a few times. I tried on 3 or 4 and never could get the fit quite right.

Is it a comfortable shoe...yes. Is it a stylish shoe...no. For work they'll do just fine, for after work happy hour etc. I'm keeping a pair of far more stylish but not as comfortable Allen Edmonds in the car!

These shoes in an EEE width finally fit my husbands wide feet, but after walking in them for a brief time he felt that they did not have enough arch support.

With respect to durability: I'm retiring my pair after ~8.5 years during which time it might have been worn at most two days a week, and usually once. Both soles had developed sizeable tears through which further damage would be basically certain, and the treads are heavily worn. During the period of usage I would characterize them as basically rather unremarkable.

I bought these because they are waterproof. They definitely breathe less than non-waterproof shoes. So while they are good for that purpose, I always wear other ones (Clarks un.Kenneth) if I do not think it is going to be wet out. Other than not breathing, they are comfortable and look good.

Definitely, these shoes don’t run true to size. I am in my 50s, and my adult shoe size have always been 8.5. This pair had a good one inch between my big toes and the front of the shoe. The foot toe area was completely loose in the shoe toe box. I exchanged them for 8.0 E, and these fit perfectly. It is safe to say that these brand runs 1/2 size larger.

The upper material didn't flex which basically defeats the purpose of a shoe. They also looked HUGE!

I am on my 50, and I have always been a 8.5. These shoes had a good inch between my big toe and the tip of the shoe. They run way to big. There is no way these are 8.5.

I liked the shoes initially. They fit well and actually fit my width. I have super-wide shoes and it's frustrating to find shoes that fit well. However, a couple months ago these shoes -- which are likely worn only twice a week -- began staining all my socks black. It is sort of like the ink or dye in the shoe liner is coming off on all my socks. So, that's no big deal when I'm at work, but when I go to a friend's house and take off my shoes -- it's embarrassing. These shoes were well over $100 and I could only wear them for 6 - 8 months twice a week before I have to stop wearing them. No more Hush Puppies for me.
