I have a hard time finding cargo shorts due to the fact some are just style and no function. These cover all three bases...Style, Function, and Comfort. Great light material, pockets that do more than just look good, and overall feel great.

I love these shorts. They are comfortable and durable. I have one in every color!

My favorite shorts. They breath in the pockets and dry off quickly if they get wet. The dark color is good when so I can use them to work with. They work equally well exercising or at work.

Great shorts! Better than expected and fit perfectly (note, the LG is slightly smaller than the size 36, but if you wear a 36 do not go up in size). I now own 6 pair of Kulhs and will continue to buy them from Zappos (fast free delivery on the planet)!

Great shorts. Dry fit material drys fast. Feels light and wears very nice. Length could be a little longer over the knee for current styling.

Good shorts - Really good shorts. I got them a size larger than recommended for my waist for more bagginess. I like the fact that the side adjustment tabs let me go belt free. Hook-and-loop pockets are ok, but not totally secure if you are moving around a lot. My cell phone has fallen out a couple of times. Same complaint as a previous review about jangling zippers. I ran some cord through the zipper pull base to dampen the sound a bit.

Love the shorts, hate the zippers... Love the look, feel, and fit of the short. Don't like the jangling of the zipper pulls. I sound like a dog with too many tags on its collar walking around. They should replace the metal pulls with high quality plastic. I have the Kuhl Eiger shorts which were the impetus to buy the Z Cargo. Eiger shorts are a little heavier material, less pockets, slightly longer inseam. Otherwise the same thing.

I have to say that these shorts are just "okay." The fabric is nice and the arrangements of the pockets are well thought out. The major problem I have is that the zipper length on the bottom is too short. I'm a tall guy (6'3") and when it's time to use the zipper I have to unbutton the shorts and drop them. I won't be buying another pair of these shorts.

Very happy with these except for the fact that one of the side buckles is broken, so the waist size adjustment isn't working right.

I bought two pairs of these and wore them for quite awhile. Love their feel, look, and basic style but they do have some design flaws! The stitching starts to tear apart at the bottom of the fly where the bunch stitching is. I'm not crazy about the snap closure (wish it was a button type), the zipper tends to come undone a bit at the top, and I wish it had a gusset crotch. I think that if if had more nylon or all nylon it be more durable but the trade off might be the feel which is very nice now! If all of the above were to be incorporated they would be by far the best shorts out there hands down!

Design flaw and terrible service - I thought these shorts were amazing so I bought 3 pairs. They were ok for a couple of wears, but after 3 wash cycles they have begun to tear near the crotch. If you examine the shorts, all of the stitching in the front comes to a point in 1 lightly reinforced spot. It is a true design flaw.

Super stoked with these shorts! I do tour work for concerts and need functional shorts and I found my favorite by far with these! I have a few deal breakers when it comes to work shorts, and they passed them all. 1) my cell phone must fit in a pocket other than the 2 front or 2 rear pockets. - I have an htc Evo (large phone) that will fit into either of the 2 outer pockets on the right leg (the smaller one is snug with the phone, but I can get it out easily) - plus the smaller velcro pocket on the right leg is the perfect size for a leatherman. Super important for me too is that stuff you put into cargo pockets don't bang on your knee when you're moving around. I am 5'11", and the shorts are the perfect length. 2) I have to be able to fit all of my belts through the belt loops. Again, passes with flying colors - I have several pairs of Dickies work shorts that I cant fit certain belts through and it's frustrating. 3) let's face it - they have to look and feel good. Often times I have 18+ hour work days, and these shorts are super comfortable! They look great at work or cruising around town.

Great shorts! Very comfortable. Mediums are too small for 34" waist and the small cam locking web straps on the sides actually work to tighten the waist if needed. I will be buying another pair of these.

I ordered these for my son a couple of years back and now this is all he wears. My husband got a couple of pairs also. While cargo shorts are not as stylish, my guys love the pockets and the adjustable waist.

Kuhl makes great pants and the most outrageous line of shorts. I have 3 pair of Kuhl shorts. They will last forever and the price point is very fair. Most shorts are a cotton blend, which I prefer.

My favorite shorts. I can't wear the other Kuhl shorts b/c they are either too loose or too tight. Since these have the built in belt I can get the waist just right. Also, they are extremely durable. My last pair finally wore out after 6 years of hard use.

Ordered these for my 16 year old son. He loves them. He is very slim build, but these fit nicely.

Great lightweight summer short. My son loves the pockets and the way the waist can be adjusted so he does not have to wear a belt. Wish they came in more colors.

These are just fantastic. The fabric feels great on your skin, the fit is perfect. The multitude of pockets is useful without being excessive (and the velcro to secure them is nice, too). The built in waste band as a belt is also great. Another amazing Kuhl product.

Light, cool, tough, and dry fast, these are the only type shorts I like to wear. Stumbled on them a few years ago and bought them. Have used and abused them since.

A few months ago I was preparing for a safari and in the search for light outdoor clothes found khul; now we are in love with materials, fit and comfort. i got few styles of the male cargo and my boyfriend who wears 24/7 cargo shorts from all brands, he is now using the same khul shorts all the time, he refuses to use any other shorts!!. i also got women pants for myself and i love all about them. you will not regret to use this brand is totally cool, packs very light, its very good quality and its funny because in the safari every one had the same conventional brands with boring styles and colors with name brands all over, while we were too khul!

Well, I had hoped these shorts would be made of the same quick-drying material that my old worn-out QuickSilver cargo shorts were made of. Couldn't find the same short made by QuickSilver anymore, so I bought these. The material is heavier. The zipper should have been made longer -- too short to take a piss without undoing the clasp at the top. Otherwise they seem to be well made and I particularly like this color -- basically a dark grey with a hint of green in it. Nice that the side pockets down on the legs have zippers.

Nice Hiking shorts & even better casual shorts. Pocket design is pretty good. Phone pocket is good. However this does have some issues with the side straps for tightening. They work, but not all the time, and not all that well. I have taken to using a belt with these and that works better for me. Still a great short, good fit and have held up well hiking and in everyday wear.

I like the shorts quite a bit. The biggest downfall of them are the adjustable side straps. While a very neat and useful feature, the won't stay locked into place. I did solve the problem by putting a safety pin at the end of both straps but that is neither aesthetically pleasing nor what I would hope for in an expensive pair of casual shorts. Nonetheless, I still may order another pair in a different color.

Great pair of Cargo shorts. Just right for running around on errands and also for a little city park hiking. Seem to be pretty sturdy and comfortable. Feel very light on and do not restrict movement at all. My only gripe is the side straps which really do not always work as they should, they do not seem to always hold their tension. That being said I still love the shorts. Could always use a belt instead.
