I don't usually write reviews, but these shoes are awesome. I have arthritis in my feet and am very picky about shoes. These have a wonderful footbed and are great because of the lacing - you can adjust for width as needed.

I normally wear a size 8 (39) but also ordered the 38 because Naot advises this style runs large and recommends sizing down. Glad I did because the 38 was too short. I've never worn Naots because they're pricey but really wanted something comfortable since I waste so much money giving away my less expensive shoes (and some expensive!) because of one fit issue or another. I will wear them around the house to make sure but so far, so (really) good. Amazing arch support! I don't understand the person who said there was NO support--maybe she reviewed the wrong shoe.

First time trying this brand and I would buy again. Comfy right out of the box. No break in required. Excellent quality. Interesting color as I ordered Steel Black suede. Sometimes it almost looks dark navy. I ordered usual size 8 and fit was perfect. As I have some foot issues, I was reluctant to order a pair of shoes I had not tried before, but if all fit as well and were as comfortable I would do again in a minute.

I am updating my shoe wardrobe for winter to accommodate my arthritic knees. These support my feet well and keep my knees in alignment. The laces allow me to adjust support around the foot. Insoles are very nice, but I had to swap for Superfeet greens to keep my hips happy. The color is more blue than gray, great with jeans. My new go-to shoe for winter here in the valley.

I ordered the Naot Kumara and the Naot Tanguru, intending to choose between them. I liked them both so much that I decided to splurge and keep both. I have issues with pain in my feet, from neuromas and arthritis. Naots are the only shoes I've found that allow me to walk for miles without pain. The Tanguru style is more supportive because of its leather and the cut of the shoe, but the Kumara is more fun to wear. Its color and style are great. As others have noted, the color is a bluish gray and works beautifully with jeans. The Kumara feels longer than the Tanguru, maybe because the toe is shaped differently. I also put a heel liner in the Kumara, just to make sure it didn't slip during long days of walking. The Tanguru fit my foot more snugly in the heel. (I would have tried a smaller size in the Kumara, but Zappos was out of stock, and it probably wouldn't have fit anyway.) I am officially a Zappos fan now. This was my first order. What a wonderful thing to have great shoes delivered to my door! I love bargains, so I had resisted paying full retail for shoes, but it's well worth it for feet that don't hurt. I can't find these shoes in any stores in my area. The stores that carry Naots don't have the oxford styles, and that's what I need for long days of walking. Thank you, Zappos!

The best! These shoes, like all my Naot, were extremely comfortable. Actually, these might be the most comfortable of all my Naots. I bought these for two reasons: for my trip to Italy for walking, and to wear with jeans, in general. I ended up wearing them in Italy almost all the time -- with jeans, pants, and even skirts. I love them. I even like their quirky style. You can't beat them for comfort. I walked all over the place in Italy, and my feet were always happy.

This is a great shoe. I wore them right out of the box and they were immediately comfortable. The upper leather is soft and forms to your foot, while the footbed provides great support. The shoe is sleek and stylish in white with silver trim. The laces stay tied which is a rarity. They look good with shorts or slacks. Wish they came in more colors - not a fan of the gray. Thanks for a quality shoe.

I love Naots. I wear a US 8.5 to 9 and the 39s are perfect with thin or no socks. I have a bunion and a hammertoe that try to cross and the flatter toebox on most Naots really help keep my toes in line. I bought a pair of Kumaras in white and liked them so well I ordered the steel grey color for winter. It's a kind of blue-grey, but looks good with black due to the black stripe around the sole. The only drawback was the chemical smell of the steel-grey dye. I had to put the new shoes on the sun porch for a few days to air out. They've been fine since and there has been no dye rub off, even wearing them barefoot. (The white ones didn't smell at all and I've never noticed any chemical odor with other metallic dye Naots.) These are very soft and will probably stretch a little with wear, nice that they are lace-up.

Love these shoes. Straight out of the box, no blisters. Compliments received from everyone, even husband likes them and he doesn't like any of my shoes. I have to select shoes that fit my orthotic. Not these! So wonderfully comfortable.

I was looking for a pair of sports shoes that were not clunky like tennis shoes, & had all the support my feet needed. This shoe fit the description to the tee! They not only arrived super quick, but I was able to wear them right out of the box. Very cushy, lots of support on the inside, looks cute on. Wow! I'm happy! Thanks Zappos as usual for your quick turn around time.

These are really beautiful shoes, wonderfully made. Unfortunately, the did not fit, and I am returning them.

I bought these in black and love them! I originally bought them for a trip to Europe with lots of walking. They were great, but they could use a little more support in the arch. I will say this I am a very busy hairstylist and I never have any issues with these in fact I am on the hunt for another black pair for work.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have had many compliments on them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Naot footwear has that European appeal and I have worn them with pride and comfort. This shoe gives the arch support and has plenty of room for the toe area.

There are wonderful looking and very comfortable shoe. One foot has had surgery and is a little off. These shoes give me comfort and no pain. They are highly recommended by podiatrist. This is my 4th style and love them all. I get a lot of compliments on style, too!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY NEW NAOTS!!! They are crazy comfortable with zero breaking in time. I’ve been wearing Naot Tahoes for close to 30 years, that’s only three pair! Yup, if you take care of them, Naots last that long. I took the advice to order a size down, the fit is perfect. Only wish they came in more colors. Enjoy ladies, these shoes are cute, comfortable and don’t be surprised if you’re asked "where’d you get those cute shoes".

I received my Kumara Naot shoes yesterday. Zappos, you are the best! Fantastic, reliable service - great website! I am hooked on the Naot brand for sure. My collection is growing. From the moment I slipped into these shoes it has been like heaven on my feet! Fantastic arch support, absolutely love the indented heel bed. I have heel spurs and I love the indented heel feature that Naot offers with some of their shoes. I would recommend this shoe to anyone. Also, for this type of shoe it was a pleasant surprise on how "novel" they looked. My size 39 fit perfect...I wear an 8 1/2 US sizing.

Happy feet - Looks so much better than your typical athletic shoe. Comfortable beyond words. No matter how busy my day, my feet are happy.

Adorable - I bought these in my usual size (40) and found them to be slightly snug (with socks); I think this is because they are just slightly narrower than my other Naots. Expecting them to stretch a little. They are as snappy and cute as can be and have a European look. Highly recommend all Naots.

Like wearing slippers - These shoes took about one day to break in, but they didn't cause any blisters. They do run large, and since the leather is very soft, it will stretch. I ordered a 38, even though I usually wear a 39 or 8.5. They are snug with medium-thickness socks. I wore them to campus and on a day-long outing that included a lot of walking around a museum; they made my feet very happy! The reddish-brown adds a nice touch of color to just about any outfit. I love these shoes!

Best walking shoe - I had a foot injury several months ago and have had a terrible time finding shoes. I needed a shoe that would accommodate raised orthotics. The depth of the shoe is just right for the orthotics and the shoe is so supportive. No break in time needed. Zappos, please ask Naot to make this in brown, black and/or blue. I would buy one in each color. Thanks to Zappos for their excellent customer service.

I love these shoes - I purchased the shoes a few days before a trip to Alaska and loved every minute I had them on. No pain. Easy to wear with all pants. I have the brown color...I did not like the white, but that is just me. I have a wide foot and these fit like a glove from the first time I put them on. I highly recommend them. They are worth the price.

Loved the look of these shoes. So sad they are too small. Need to return them. Others reviews said so too, but I wished it wasn't true. It is, by at least a whole size.
