Wonderful Shoes for walking almost anywhere - I bought these shoes for a trip to the Holy Land. They were wonderful and fit really well. There was no break-in time - I didn't have time! They do not have a thick enough sole for the old Roman roads in Israel with uneven pavement, and I felt every rut and ridge. They are wonderful at home with asphalt or concrete paved streets and walks. I can't live without them. I feel 10 years younger with them on my feet and have given up on my usual "walking shoes." I am going to buy another pair.

Comfort at its best - Love these shoes! Like a sneaker, but more classy! The arch support and overall comfort is just what I was looking for in a sporty shoe. If it ever comes out in black I will order another pair. I found it ran true to size, not big as suggested. I wore it all day the first day I got it and was totally comfortable. Zappos, of course, got it to me in one day! Fantastic!

Not your grandmother's tie shoe - Every time I wear them, I receive a compliment. They are comfortable and provide the support I need… Will order same shoe in another color.

Very comfortable, lightweight shoe. The rust is a muted, rich color that goes with everything. My full orthotics fit. The style is a bit dressier than athletic shoes.

Naot Kumara - I love the way these shoes feel. I have a narrow heel but medium width ball of my foot. These shoes are perfect, except...I wore them around the house for about half an hour and discovered that they have a ridge that runs right across the heel that digs in. I was so disappointed as they are buttery soft and perfect in every other way. This only bothered my right foot and not my left one.

"Like a glove" With a wide foot and narrower heel, it's rare to find a shoe that really fits. These felt like they were made for my feet. Comfortable room in the toebox, higher heed cup means no slipping. I originally sized down, but found I had to move up to my regular size for fit. Soft leather, supportive sole, accepts orthotic. Pricey, but wonderful shoe.

Kumara (black & white) I have been looking for a "sneaker" type shoe for ages. I needed something that was cut lower on the sides to clear an injury. I FOUND IT! These have terrific support but still manage to look great with a European style "edge" to them. I ordered a size down as recommended and they are perfect with a thin sport sock or toe covers. If you plan to wear a regular thick sport sock you might want to reconsider the sizing. I like them so much that I called the Naot Company to locate a pair in black which they were very gracious about and guided me in the right direction. These have enough style that they can be worn a level or two above the times when you want to wear a sneaker but it would be inappropriate to do so. Just keep in mind that while these are a wonderful walking shoe they are definitely NOT an exercise or sport shoe.

Dee from California - I just love this shoe. For me, this shoe ran a half size too small. After getting the right size, and putting this shoe on, it was a perfect fit. I stand on my feet all day and this shoe certainly measured up to my needs. I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot and cannot wear just any shoe. The arch support in this shoe is adequate for me as well. I have been wearing this shoe to work every day since I received them and each time people will notice my shoes. People always ask where did I find them and of course I always tell them. Thank you Zappos for having the best on line service. I never worry about ordering the wrong size with your customer service and postage policy.

Possibly perfect for you - While these shoes probably won't work for me because their arch supports don't line up with my foot, they're otherwise wonderfully cushioned *and* supportive - a hard combination to find. The leather is glove-soft, too. Finally, the edges of the shoes let your foot move rather than encasing it, as some higher-edged sport shoes do. In short, I think these are great shoes and wish that arch were placed just a little bit differently!

BEST Shoe I've EVER worn!! I've worn NAOTs in the past, and they were great, but this shoe was out of this world! I bought it based on the review someone wrote on how they wore it right out of the box in Rome for sightseeing. I did the same for a trip to New York and it was great! Super comfortable, no blisters, supportive, etc etc. I'm going to buy another color right now!!

Great shoes - I have been suffering with plantar fasciitis and a friend suggested your shoes. This is the best advice I ever had. I get compliments on the style of the shoe and I tell them about the comfort.

Really nice-looking sneaker. However, the 35 is definitely not a size 4 but larger by almost a full size. I can keep the shoe because it's possible to tighten the laces; otherwise it would be too generous. I love the white and silver style.

Naot Kumara - I wanted something more sporty than a tennis shoe, more of a walking shoe and these are them! These shoes have a high arch which I don't have, but after I wore them a few times, my feet got use to the high arch. The leather is super soft, so it really molds to your feet. Definitely worth the cost. I get compliments on them all the time!

Greatest Tennis Ever! I have back and arthritis issues. I have recently been trying to work out more and could never find a tennis shoe that was light enough and didn't make my feet fall asleep when exercising. These are the most comfortable and foot molding shoes I have ever worn. My sister is mad because I bought the last one in our size!

I love these shoes--comfortable for my wide feet, beautiful. I worried they might be too shiny, but they're not. The back of one of my heels does get rubbed by the shoe -- I'm hoping once they're a little more broken in, that will go away.

I’m undecided about this shoe. I ordered my normal size 7 & the length and width seem fine. However, my heel slips out when walking. Tightening the lace’s doesn’t help as the laces don’t come up high enough like most sneakers. I may try a heel cushion to achieve a more snug fit, but this really should be addressed as a number of customers mentioned this issue. Aside from that, the arch support is good, the style is very European & the leather is soft. I got the white with silver.

I love Naot shoes! I usually purchase the hard sole shoes so this pair was a new experience for me. Generally comfortable as expected, cool style, very nice. I just need to adjust to a softer feel. Size 10 was a perfect 41.
