I use them to play Capoeira (Brazilian Martial Arts) For the past 3 yrs I’ve been buying this shoe. Each summer I buy a new color. The shoe feels great and very comfortable. Only thing that I buy for the shoe, are insoles. My feet take a lot of abuse playing Capoeira. With the extra soles it’s like walking on pillows. The shoes are very light weight and the traction is superb!!! This shoe will last you all year long. The more you wear them the better they feel. Recommended!!!!!!

Great shoe alert! These shoes are so good looking and so comfortable. Great for casual wear. They are surprisingly durable too. I had a pair for over a year and I wore them on campus almost every day. I liked them so much that I bought them again in a different color. Get these shoes before everyone else does.

Drum foot - I bought these as a gift for my step-father in-law, who is a professional drummer, and he loves them. Says they are lightweight and flexible with good support, made of good material. He's had a number of compliments from the students at the school where he runs the drums & percussion program. Glad I bought 'em for him. (Gunmetal)

Classic comfort - I’ve owned several pairs of Asics running shoes, but never have purchased a pair of their classics. My conclusion on this first experiment is that these shoes are fabulous! You don't have to break them in as they've got a great fit already. The back doesn't come up too high to chafe your Achilles heel and the toe box leaves plenty of comfort for movement. These are amazing shoes!

The Ultimate 81. This is seriously the most comfortable sneaker I've worn in years. It's got arch support, on both sides of the arch, but not enough to feel as if the sole it poking into your foot. The laces give a snug feel and the actual shoe is very, very light. I've gotten about 4 pairs of these Ultimate 81s now in various colors and have converted some of my friends into fans. Good sneakers at a reasonable price. What you need to watch out for is the mesh toe-tops versus the leather toe tops. Mesh ones are great for summer but really don't fare well in the rain and will freeze your feet in the cold. The leather toe-tops like the ones pictured here (black and gold/yellow) are fine but if you're going to be really active in the heat, expect to notice your feet getting warm. They keep your feet toasty in the winter though. They leather top ones also look dressier should you want to wear them to a [night] club. The shoes run about a half size small I think. I normally wear size Y for instance and the best fit for me is an X.5.

Great Shoes - These are the only shoes that I wear. They do feel true to size. Super comfortable, Awesome Look.

This will be your favorite pair of shoes! Fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

Very stylish... I have kind of wide feet so they were a little narrow in the sides and wide in the heel. But they look great and go with almost anything. I have the grey and white ones.

The Ultimate casual shoe - This is the second pair of Ultimate 81's that I've owned. I got the gunmetal/birch color, and they're awesome. I'm not normally loyal to a particular brand, but I'll probably get another pair of these or some like these in the future. I'm not a runner or anything- I just need a pair of shoes that are comfortable and stylish, which these certainly are. I like to wear mine when I play tai chi (I know Onitsuka makes a shoe just for that, but I don't really dig the style), and they offer just the right amount of support while still allowing me to feel in contact with the ground, unlike some athletic shoes where you're standing on 2 inches of foam or something. I can't really say enough good things bout them- I've found them to be very durable for the money, as well. And you absolutely can't beat Zappos' service- I don't think I'll ever purchase shoes anywhere else.

Asics birch/green - Nice looking shoe, looks great with jeans. I thought it felt true to size. The toe box is a little wider than normal, more comfy, which is why some people may have reported it larger than marked. As usual, Great Zappos service! I have ordered three pairs of shoes from Zappos in the past month, and have always received great service, especially with their return policy. I ordered shoes from a large retail chain and received the wrong size, they wanted me to pay S&H to return. I returned in the store and then used the money to by the same shoes from Zappos.

Amazing - Very stylish and very nice. Insoles take a little while to get used to, but they get super comfy after that. Great shoe! I highly recommend it.

Onitsuka Tiger by Asics's Ultimate 81 LE - Got the sand/black color and the shoes look very nice. Excellent service from Zappos, as usual. The soles could use a little more padding, but quite comfortable otherwise. As others have mentioned, order a half size smaller.

Cute and stylish trainers - I love everything about this shoe. The style, the color, comfort and fit. It looks super cute with jeans for a casual look. The unique black/sand color combo is not available anywhere that I've looked except for Zappos. I find these shoes to run 1/2 larger than marked. I normally wear a 7.5 but since these are made wider, you can size down or get your normal size. Either one will be fine.

Very hip, Very comfortable, shoe runs big so get one half size smaller.

Unpredictably perfect- These shoes are amazing. They look great, go with any number of outfits (including dressy), and are super-comfortable. Fit is perfect, look is fantastic. A+.

Great Colors! These shoes were comfortable the minute I put them on, no breaking-in necessary! I got the black and yellow ones and the color combo seems to go with everything for the fall. They're a great addition to your outfit without being overpowering like some tacky, bright-colored sneakers can be. Good support, true to size.

Pretty darn good shoes. Perfect size, perfect width. The only problem was that the back of the shoe rubbed on my heel, which caused it to hurt. But when I wear them more, I am sure my feet will get used to them! Great look... unisex!

Ultimate 81 LE- These are great shoes! They look sharp, and go with anything. They can be casual or they can be formal, whatever you feel like. But these were my first suede shoes, and next time I am getting regular leather. After I got mine, my friends started getting Tigers too.

Solid shoe. Looks good with pretty much anything. Both dark and light colored jeans, khakis, whatever. I have the Ecru/Brown combo which is nice since I have yet to see anyone else with it. The shoe is very comfortable, with good support, and some nice padding on the top of the toe that feels nice.
