LOVE These Boots! So glad I splurged and bought these boots! I read all the reviews first and debated whether or not to order a half size up or down based on other comments, but went ahead and just ordered my true size and they are perfect. They feel good and they look incredible. Love, love, love them. And of course, Zappos was fantastic as always. If you're unsure about size, order a 1/2 under, your standard size and a 1/2 up. Returns are SO easy on Zappos, what have you got to lose?? If you're thinking of getting these boots, do it! They're worth the splurge.

Just what I'd hoped for! Have been looking at this boot for over a year and finally got it! After reading reviews and hesitating over the sizing (I have wide feet), I ended up ordering my normal size 9 and a 9.5. The 9.5s were perfect - they felt comfortable right away - the 9s were too tight all around (foot, heel, calf). Zappos got the second pair to me in less than 24hrs (the 1st pair in just 2 days!) and the return process was painless. This Frye boot will definitely work for a wider foot and it'll go with everything. Can't wait for fall!

LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! Everything I hoped they would be! I have big calves and wide, flat feet so worried they would not fit... but because you can unbuckle them, they slipped right on and are plenty long and wide enough in my true size, 7.5. I'm thrilled with them because they are so utilitarian and look so great with jeans, etc.

Stylin Engineer boots - I wanted a pair of Frye boots for a long time. I live in Oregon and I live in boots for our long wet, rainy winters. The square toe Fryes were too tight on my feet. The Engineer boots with the round toes fit my foot well. I have wide feet with a high arch. I a sure these will get even softer with age. I am so excited to have my own Engineer boots. I used to borrow my mom's loser biker boy friends boots as a teenager. Zappos shipped these to me express for free!! Keep up the good work!!

Great service, hot boots. Love these boots!! Ordered these Saturday night and received them on Monday w/ standard shipping. Zappos is amazing especially for impatient people like me. The boots are very comfortable, I had no problem getting them on and I’ve just been wearing them around the house to break them in. Also, I was a little skeptical in ordering these shoes b/c I’m such a short girl (in between 4'11" and 5 feet) but the adjustable buckle on the top made these boots look good even on shorter legs like mine. & they feel very heavy duty; great quality and cute with denim miniskirts and shorts.

Perfect Women's Motorcycle Boot - I ride a CBR 929 and these are the perfect boots if you ride, whatever you ride... fits under boot cut jeans nicely; I am 5'5" and the heel is just high enough to give me that extra leverage I need when backing the bike up and yet the left foot still fits right under the shift lever perfectly. Also, the boot is high enough, so you don't get the top of the boot caught up on the foot pegs when you are moving the bike around.

The perfect biker boot! Wow, these were all I expected and more; probably the coolest biker boots I've seen anywhere. Breaking them in has been a little arduous, but totally worth it. Very sexy with a mini skirt, the boys really notice!

EXCELLENT BOOTS!!!! Plain and simple, these boots rock! They were very comfortable right off the bat, (unlike other reviews I had read), and I have no problem pulling them on or off. They are well made. I have bought numerous pairs of boots in search of the perfect boot, and this is my first pair of Fryes...I don't think I'll ever buy a different brand again. They are worth the extra $$$. I also like the fact that they are made in the USA (and have been for over 100 years). Awesome boot!

Frye engineer 15R - I love the boots after a few wearings they loosened up. I would buy a size wider if they would have been available as I have wide feet. If they become available in a wider size I'll buy another pair. Also I wouldn’t buy from anybody but Zappos, they service is #1.

Zappos Rocks! I ordered the Frye Engineer 15R because I ride motorcycles and wanted that biker look plus the added protection that Frye leather provides. I forgot to ask for overnight delivery when I placed my order and called Zappos customer service. The person I talked to was more than nice and she even upgraded my delivery to overnight but didn't charge me!!!!! Now that's service. The Frye Engineer 15R was everything and more than the description provided. I will not hesitate to order from Zappos again and again. Riding free, looking good and protected in California!

Great Boot! I wear an 8 and that is what I ordered. They fit fine. I have narrow feet and there was some heel slippage until I figured out what the instep strap was for. USE IT! Once I tightened it up I have no more heel slippage. I wear regular cotton socks with these. They are very hard to get into the first few times but once you have them broken in it gets easier. I can wear these boots all day and have no discomfort. Worth every penny.

Great Boots - Got the brown boots and fell in love! Great, great boots! I have a high arch and it does take me awhile to get the boots on, but I am hoping that will lessen as I get them worn in. They are also a bit tight in my calf area and I am trying to work that in as well.

Best boots ever! This is my new favorite boot ever! These boots kick winter's butt. I just love the look; they fit like a glove and are very comfortable. I had no trouble getting them on right away and they are breaking in very quickly. I'm serious about good boots and I think I'm sticking with Frye from now on. I previously wore Doc Martens and Harley Davidson. These blow them away in quality and comfort. Totally worth the extra money. They were hard to get in Canada, but worth the wait.

You do have to break this boot in - one long protest will do it. Massive compliments - feel like a biker-punk gal from a 60s movie with a definite Steve McQueen cameo. Great boot! And Zappos, excellent service as usual.

Oooh, nice! These are fantastic looking boots. Well made. Also, very comfortable. Only drawback in my opinion is that they're stiff and really heavy. I wasn't confident enough in them softening up to keep them.

Sexy beast... Yes, it was a struggle to get them on...but, it gets easier every day...don't give up on them. I wear size 7, and ordered a 7. They are perfect. However, I did have to start out with the thinnest sock I have. Engineer boots are warm, comfy, look great under pants and even better with a sexy dress or skirt. Zappos is the only way to go!

Kick butt boot! Great look! Very stiff initially. Can't wait til they loosen up. Have wanted Frye boots for a long time and my husband got me a pair!

I've worn Fryes for 30 years and own several pairs. The Engineers are probably my favorite. I've had the shorties for 2 years and decided to purchase the talls because I love my shorties. The boots are beautifully constructed and fit well. I have RA and my feet give me fits, but I can wear these boots all day with no discomfort. I teach middle school, so I'm on my feet nearly 7 hours a day and my feet feel great. I also like them for snowy, cold days, they keep my feet warm and dry. They can also give an outfit an edgy, punk look that I like.

Fantastic boots! I recently purchased these boots from Zappos (quite possibly the best online shoe store...) and I love Love LOVE them! I'd been eying them for the past few months and am so glad I finally took the plunge. I usually wear a size, 8 but purchased the Engineer in a 7 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I own a couple other pairs of Frye boots (the Campus boot and a lace up version of the Campus - I wear a 7 1/2 in those as well) and find they all tend to run a bit large. They are very well made and quite sturdy. The outsoles are oil resistant and offer more traction and comfort than the leather outsoles. Another benefit is that these soles will last a good, long time. They are very tall, just a couple inches shy of the knee. I had no trouble sliding my foot into them, but I also don't have a very high arch. Even though the calves are somewhat adjustable, I think that women with larger calves may have a hard time with these. Like most other Frye boots they will take a while to break in. But once they do, they will be perfect. My next pair will be the brown Engineer 12R...

I love this Boot!!!! I ordered the Frye Engineer's in black and I love them. I am glad I bought them from Zappos because if I had to try them on at a store I would have given up. I have a high arch and the first time I put them on it took a half hour to wiggle my foot in there. I have had them for a week now and they are much easier to put on. There is a definite breaking in time with the boots but they are worth it. I get a ton of compliments on the boots and am planning to buy the Veronica slouch in brown. They look great with jeans and skirts and they are very sweet and tough looking at the same time. The quality is fabulous and the leather awesome. These are built to last.

Zappos rocks! So do my new Fryes. I danced in them all night New Year's Eve and was ready to put them on again the next day.

Love the Frye Engineer boots. The first pair I ordered we went up a half size but this was still too small. The second pair was a full size up and they were fine. My sweety loves the way they look and feel. Thanks much!

Stylish and Tough - When I first opened my Engineers, I was very pleased with the look. I love the color. Gaucho is a dark, warm brown, but with no hint of red tones, and the leather has a matte finish rather than a shiny polished look. The leather is already wearing beautifully. I was a bit worried at first when I could not get the shaft over my calf near the top, despite loosening the strap. However, I wore them for a few hours around the house with some stockings and they loosened up quickly just like others, and I can now tighten the calf strap. I disagree with comments from other reviewers about these running a half size small. I wear a women's 7, and ordered a 7 1/2 originally to compensate. I had to send those back because they were much too roomy. The 7's I have now fit well even with thick socks. If you are torn between two styles, go with the Engineer. They are more comfortable, and the stiffer leather, in my opinion, looks better. I've had tons of compliments on this boot, though, and you can't go wrong with Frye. I can tell these will last a long time and I'll never tire of them. It may be worth it to pick up a black pair one day.

Frye Engineer 15R Boot - Frye has amazing boots and shoes - they last forever and are so unique. The full leather shoe takes awhile to break in, but it’s well worth it. Zappos is THE BEST online shoe store EVER. Wonderful and quick service...
