I purchased this satchel for my wife and she loves it! It was received sooner than expected and the quality was excellent. She has received numerous compliments as well. We love Zappos!!

I love this purse. I needed something hands free for my busy schedule plus it has good storage to keep me in order! Of course Zappos was always quick and great!

This is my third bag of this style: I have the Sydney (canvas) satchel in a dark khaki and now in charcoal, which I just ordered. I also have the Singapore (nylon, same style as Sydney) satchel in a dark gray. These aren't the most fashionable bags out there, but they're some of the most functional. I switch bags frequently, but I finally just decided to stick to my Sydney. It holds everything I need to carry, stays on my shoulder, can work as a crossbody and can be washed. I really like the colored nylon lining. The only suggestion I would make would be for Kavu to make their bags in a few core colors that are always available - khaki, black, gray, etc. I bought the charcoal yesterday (received it today -- thanks, Zappos!) because I was afraid it wouldn't be available later. Kavu makes great casual bags that stand up to every day use and abuse. And Zappos continues to amaze me -- order it today, get it tomorrow (if you order early enough), and shipping's free. I wish other etailers followed their example!

Pretty bag, I like all the zippered compartments and it is a light bag when full. Not as big as I expected, given other people's reviews...don't know how someone got a T-shirt into it, for instance...or a paperback for that matter. Great bag for traveling tho'.

Beautiful color (plum), well-made, lots of pockets- however, as a crossbody, the canvas strap really chafes at the neck. Sadly had to return. Bummer.

Love this bag! Not too big but plenty of room for my wallet, keys, etc. Three zippered pockets (two outside and one inside) for all the small stuff. Straps don't usually stay on my shoulder but this one does. Getting ready to purchase a third one!

Lots of room for storage. Love the cross body design. Also, great that it has pockets on the outside for quick and easy access.

My wife loves this bag. It is really pretty and super comfortable. It holds a lot and doesn't get in the way at all when she walks the dogs or shops. My experience with Zappos was nothing short of awesome. First time customer and I'll definately be back.

I bought this bag to take on a trip recently and hoped it would have enough room in it to slip my i-pad in for the plane trip. Unfortunately, it wasn't big enough for that, but the description didn't say it was. I liked the bag well enough to keep it anyway. It goes with just about anything and is so much fun for summer!

This is an amazing bag! It is even roomy. It held all my things from my makeup to my cell phone. I just love it!

I am usually a Vera Bradley purse buyer, however, the prices are too much for a purse I wear out within a year and a half of buying. I wanted something that would last longer than that with just about everyday use as well as something less pricey and I think I found it in my new Kavu Sydney Satchel. The canvas material is sure to withstand a good beating and and I love the style and colors. The only issue I have with it is that the internal non-zipped pockets are pretty shallow and even my chapstick falls out. I am a big fan of internal pockets but it fits what I need, which is quite a bit of stuff.

This bag is such a sturdy, well made bag for really casual, active summer outings...perfect. I took off one star because I'm not sure if it's as cute as it should be.

I love the bag. Looks sturdy and good quality. I love that I can easily shorten or lengthen the strap because as a mom of two toddlers there are times I need both hands free to run after them!

I love this satchel in every way; the lovely red interior, the long, comfortable strap and all the pockets and zippers. My problem is all my stuff will not fit in this satchel. Sad is it not.

I returned this because of the strap. I didn't look at the picture closely enough and when the bag arrived, I was disappointed to see that it was made of the same fabric as the bag, and I knew I wouldn't care for it. I prefer a webbed strap.

I wish it was slightly bigger to hold my water bottle too, but I kept it and I like it!

Just a bit too heavy and scratchy, but nicely designed and well constructed.

I bought this to use as a travel bag mainly, so I definitely was looking for the ability to wear on my shoulder in addition to cross body. The bag is very sturdy canvas and while not as fashionable as my worn out suede, I think it will be fine. I haven't road tested it, but I have used it prior to test around town. I like it a lot, it's a touch smaller than I'd thought it would be, but that might be because it's not as stretchy as my suede. The pockets are very helpful, the front one can be for things like lip balm, while the back zipper is great for more secure items. The inside of the bag has a zipper too, which was super important to me. The only thing that is hard for me to get used to is the "U" shape of the bag makes opening, putting stuff in, and closing harder than a straight line zip. I think it'll just take getting used to. For the price, I thought it might be a bit higher in quality, especially on the adjustable shoulder strap which isn't very easy to use (but does work); if Kavu made this in suede or leather with a straight opening vs a U, I'd give it 5 stars.

Love kavu..stylish and durable..

I'm still on the fence with this bag. I have only been using it for a few weeks. It is smaller than I imagined. The green is a nice dark green. I was worried it would be a bright green. Not sure it is worth $40 either.

Was comfortable ordering the Kavu Sydney bag knowing I could return it if it didn't meet my needs. I am 5 feet tall and the bag strap is comfortable and easy to adjust, all pockets are useful and easy to access, and the size of the bag doesn't overwhelm my body frame. The canvas is durable and stitching well done. I purchased a Hadaki purse organizer which added even more useful zip and stash pockets, and helps the Sydney bag keep its nice shape. Bag will carry my fat leather wallet, checkbook, S7 phone, exterior battery and charger, keys, pen, pencil, small note pad, 2 lipsticks, collapsible hairbrush/mirror combo, and change purse. I'd have room for an 8 oz. bottle of water if went with a smaller wallet. I bought the bag in black because I wear a lot of colorful clothes and I wanted this bag to be my everyday bag. The black canvas does pick up lint, but I use a lint roller to quickly remove it. That is the only reason I gave an overall rating of 4, vs. 5.

I ordered this sydney satchel bag in black & really like everything about it. I prefer that all of my purses be black in color, so that wasn't my issue. My only complaint was failure to notice/realize that the material (outer) was going to be such a bad cat hair magnet. And my cat has all-white fur..so I'm in for lots of delinting! O well, live & learn

This is a rather plain bag. It is good for back and forth to work or a quick shopping trip. Not really as cute in person. I think it is overpriced for the materials and functionality. I was fortunate to use Zappos credit to purchase it so it was a fraction of the price. It is made well and will last for ever, but I think the zipper designs are awkward and the bag has limited use for me personally. KAVU products are made well, so I would recommend them. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for this bag though...
