Very nice shoes, I've been looking for them for a long time. Good for working around machinery if you don't need steel toes.

Customer service was great. I ordered the wrong width shoe and ZCS was timely and friendly when making the change before the shoes shipped out. They have a great selection of brands and products, but it is the customer service that will keep this company on my radar.

These are very comfortable, supportive shoes for long stretches of standing or walking. They have a nice, attractive profile, not clunky. They look good with yoga pants, or jeans. I work on my feet, and these remain comfortable. There is room for inserts if you need them. The small heel adds additional comfort, and the look is sleek and attractive. They are a great purchase.

The regular width was too narrow across the balls of my feet so I ordered a wide. It gave me the space I needed there even if it is looser overall than I like my shoes.

These shoes have a great, casual, yet professional look, which is exactly what I was looking for. They are a little on the narrow side for a wide width shoe (I purchased a 9 Wide), but after breaking in, they are okay. The soles are plasticy - which is what brings my rating from 5 stars to 4. I just wish they were more of a lug sole. But they are extremely lightweight for a sturdy shoe like this. The only other negative is that they seem to make my feet stink! They must not allow much air flow, which causes them to sweat - which is not a problem I've had before, so I know it's the shoes.

I have worn many styles of Eastland oxfords over the years and love them; however, I was very disappointed to find that this shoe in a wide feels narrower than my older Eastland in a medium.

Overall, I really like these Oxfords. The size was good and they felt comfortable right out of the box. The only thing I wish were better is the sole. From the pictures, these look like they would be somewhat rugged and give good traction, but the material used for the sole is so hard that it is almost slippery. I do not trust these shoes to give me safe traction on slippery surfaces. I've scuffed up the bottoms a bit to help, but it has only helped a little. If they changed the sole material to a "grippier" material, it would be five stars across the board.

Shoe looks great. Seems to have good support but it didn't fit. It was to tight across my arch and was too big at the heel.

This looks like a great shoe but I'm sending it back because the wide size was way too narrow to me.

I love the look of these shoes, and am in constant search of comfortable shoes that don't look "athletic." They are very comfortable and supportive for standing (I work standing up.) They are a bit loose in the heel, and the leather is sturdy, perhaps too sturdy for me, so for walking, my arthritic toes start to hurt. If you are looking for a good work/standing shoe, this is durable, attractive, and very comfortable. I would recommend a softer shoe with more bend at the foot ball for long distance (for an hour or more) walking. Short distances are no problem.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I lost the first pair and was sick about it. They are great quality and very comfortable.

Very comfortable shoe. True to size. I've had 3 pairs, and would continue to order them for their comfort, style and grip. However, all three pairs have cracked across the sole, which is what ultimately caused me to replace them.

I finally found my everyday, walking, working, and looking good with jeans when you are tired of boots and sneaks! Thanks to Zappos for the free shipping back and forth so I could experiment! These are true to size. The sole may seem heavy, but they do not wear me out after hours. Very supportive shoe and sole.

I bought these for work, and to wear through the snow when necessary. They are holding up well. They started very stiff and uncomfortable, but loosened up and became more comfortable quickly. They look great with khakis and jeans.

These are fantastic shoes. Super comfortable with crossover style. I work in an office and go out to walk on my breaks. I'm the only one that doesn't change shoes for this. The wide accommodated my full-length orthotics just fine. I'm a little disappointed the soles split, but then I have been wearing them for two years now. I see a lot of people worrying about the style. I love it, but then I wore Docs for years and these are similar looking but lighter and more comfortable.

Functional and comfortable -
I bought these shoes for my daughter who needs them as part of a Girl Scout uniform. They aren't the most attractive, but are perfect for a clean line and comfortable shoe. The soles look heavy but are actually very lightweight. No complaints from a very fussy 13 year old!

Eastland Plainview Women's Shoe Review -
I purchased a pair of these several weeks ago and have been mostly pleased. The shoes are typical Eastland quality--excellent thick leather that requires some breaking in, thick cushioned soles, but almost no arch support. The insoles come out, unlike my old Newports, and that is a welcome improvement from the Newports. This allows the wearer to put in better insoles or replace the originals when they wear out. Unfortunately, my only complaint about the Plainview's has been the insoles. Besides the poor arch support, one of the insoles has begun to creep forward and bunch under my arch ever-so-slightly when I walk a lot. It's just enough to be slightly annoying. Initially I thought the sole was defective, but it is indeed due to the insoles. This will force me to find replacement insoles much sooner than I would have otherwise. I like them enough that I would still purchase them again, though. My old Newports lasted for years with frequent use, and it appears that these will perform similarly.

Comfortable -
The shoe is comfortable if you wear it as is. But if you remove the padded insoles to put in orthodics your toes dig into all the holes that are under the insoles on the bottom. This is very painful. The shoe looks masculine also.

These were very comfortable (full disclosure: I wear them with a custom orthotic insert), but not incredibly stylish. I wish they had chosen a different material for the sole (it's extremely plastic-y looking), and had bumped up the heel height just a bit, maybe 1/2 - 3/4". Heel is narrow, and toe bed is wide, which I really like.

I love Eastland - and I love their Oxfords. These pair are my favorite for casual and business alike - however, the last two pairs have proven extremely disappointing. The shoe has broken from the sewn seamed seal at the inner edge where its sewn to the sole creating a huge 4 inch 'tear". Two pairs in a row. The first pair I will say lasted greatly and took a lot of wear and beating until it tore. The second pair tore only after four months. Not okay. My sister also had a pair of these that tore the exact same way as well.

Got these today and sending them back. They're very nice looking, but they were a half-size too small for me, and I didn't care for the sole, which looked like cheap plastic and seemed hard and like it wouldn't provide very good traction. Other reviewers were right in that they felt stiff (leather) and would need breaking in, but I can't imagine that the plastic sole would improve with use. Too bad. They're a nice color and look cute.

This is a decent-looking oxford with a thick sole that provides very little cushioning or comfort. The shoe has aggressive tread, but the sole is so hard and almost plastic-like that it slips on wet surfaces. The toe-box is a bit narrow for the style, so be prepared to wear thin socks.

I love a good shoe and will keep with one brand for years as I work in the field and require optimum comfort and durability. I loved the look and feel of these shoes. Relocated to Maine, shoes were only six months old and they both split in the soles immediately. I visited back home where I purchased the shoes, hoping to get a replacement pair and was told no way, not a defect just worn out, in six months. I should have purchased through Zappos. I'm going back to Birkenstock, not near as good looking as the Eastlands, but at least the Birkenstock last and last and can be repaired. I was told to repair my Eastland shoes would require new soles (and would probably not last either). I cannot afford a shoe to go belly up on me in this extreme weather state. Just a warning to buyers if you're an outdoor worker. These great looking shoes did not hold up for me.
