Liked the brown color. A bit stiff across the toes at first. This is not a squishy leather shoe- it is firm. Wears great and is comfortable for me. Looks good. too.

Far too narrow for a wide width. I've bought other Eastland styles in a 7W and they fit fine, but this shoe is tight all over.

This shoes is very narrow, I have to have the laces as loose as possible and still at the end of the day my feet are fatigued.

I've been wearing this style of Eastlands since 1997. Never had an issue until my most recent purchase from Zappos. This pair was incredibly narrow, but because they are leather, they've always stretched for me after some wear. This time, they didn't. I even had them stretched (shoe store) with the spray and all. I barely moved for me. Now only that, but they are much more uncomfortable than in past. I am just in awe. Maybe I had a pair that was miss sized? I don't know, but I am very reluctant to buy them again.

Eastland's Plainview - This shoe feels as if it needs to be worn in a little but so far it has been a good shoe.

Shoe is excellent and I normally wear out the upper before replacement. The last two purchases have proven disappointing in that the sole has breaken at the flex point.

Disappointing. I loved this brand of shoe from way back, but the soles on my last pair split. Knowing I am pretty rough on shoes, I gave them another chance - but this time, the first time I wore them in rainy weather I felt the toe portion of both the socks on my feet get a little wet, without seeing obvious defects. More cheap offshore product I suppose.

I would not recommend this product. Within 7 months of purchasing this shoe the sole of the left shoe split across the entire sole. I got a replacement pair because I have had many other Eastland proucts and they have lasted years. Now the replacement pair has done the same thing, the left sole has slpit in the exact spot. I have only has these for 11 months and Zappos will not give me a refund. I am very unsatisified with the shoe and Zappos.

Love the uppers, but the sole is made of material that cracks after less than a year. Eastland stands behind them and does replace them if you contact them, but they haven't done anything to improve the quality of the sole. They've replaced them several times for me.

They are not pretty but they get me through an 8 hour work day in flying colors. these shoes offer such great support that when I take my shoes off at night I can actually relax and not fight the tension in my feet. I'm sold on them!

I had a similar experience -- five years on, the uppers are in excellent condition -- nearly good as new. But last week the sole cracked all the way through across the ball of the foot. Irreparable, says my shoe repairperson. I will call Eastland to complain -- Zappos gave me the number. Maybe if enough people complain they will choose better materials.

I LOVE these shoes. I've had bunion surgery which ended well, but now I have Morton's neuromas and have a very difficult time finding shoes I can wear all day without pain. It's also been hard to find PLAIN, nice looking, well made leather shoes I could wear in a variety of situations. These were comfy from the first day. My feet are rather narrow but I got the wide size as that was the only one available at the time. They are fine, and I could probably put orthotics in them with no problem, but I haven't even felt the need yet. From a health standpoint, if they were made with a bit more rounding around the ball joint (like some minimus running shoes), they would be the absolutely perfect shoe for people with bunions or people wanting to AVOID bunions. These give me enough support but not TOO much cushion and cradling which I have found is counterproductive. I am thrilled to find, at long last, a shoe that I can wear all day and not have my feet screaming by the late afternoon. They look great as well. I can't attest to their longevity yet, but they look well made. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone!

I love these shoes. The detailing is just fun enough not to look so much like uniform shoes, and they are so comfortable! They have a removable footbed and a lovely thin, green liner already in there once the footbed is removed. I used to buy the thinnest Spenco inserts for that purpose, so it's nice not to have to spend that extra $10.00. The shoes are deep enough that I can put in my custom orthotic without any problems. These are my go-to winter shoes. I love the lacing. I bought a pair in brown, too, and they are super-cute!

These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Plenty of room for my toes, including a couple of odd-shaped ones; cushy on the bottom with good support. They're not dressy, obviously, but with jeans or casual pants which is what I'm wearing most of the time--they are great. I wear 8 or 8 1/2 wide; based on some reviews that found them a little narrow , I ordered 8 1/2, and they fit perfectly.

This is my 3rd pair of Eastland Plainview-not because the others wore out but because they are so comfortable. I wanted to make sure I would have 'back ups' in my closet! They are perfect for traveling, light weight and actually hold my orthodics. They are not the most beautiful shoe but their comfort keeps me putting them back on!

These shoes were true to size and had only a one day break in period of me. If you need to be on your feet all day either standing around or walking for hours, these will be comfortable.

I originally bought the slip on style as a casual shoe to wear with jeans, but recently I needed to wear these more often for work. When I wore out my original pair, I found the slip on was out of stock and choose this lace up version. It's just as comfy, even more comfy than I remembered. They hold up well through everyday abuse. My last pair held up for over two years. Well worth the money. I purchased my normal shoe size but went with the wide. The fit is good and comfortable. I highly recommend this shoe.

Bought these to wear on a trip to England. We would be walking and hiking and then go into museums and restaurants, so did not want to be wearing athletic shoes. Well I walked all over London about 15 miles worth, into pubs, shops, churches etc... Then wore them to drive, and walk all over Liverpool, into the Cavern, all over Leeds Castle in Maidstone, hiked across the cliffs of Dover, and then wore them into the lighthouse for afternoon tea. Great for walking, hiking, and not out of place for afternoon tea or a beer at the pub. Worked for everything. My feet NEVER got sore, and were always comfortable. I now have them in 2 colors.

Comfortable out of the box. Solid quality. As always, Zappos service was exceptional.

Shoe is terrific! I work all day, standing at an airport and these shoes give me much support, look nice, and the sole is thick enough, yah! I normally wear a 7 1/2 but bought a size 8 which is perfect. They do run slightly small and narrow but my feet are slim anyway. Great Support! The best shoes I've bought in years.

Love these. My first pair lasted over 5 years until the dog used them as a chew toy. Great with jeans in fall and winter. Waterproof them and wear them in any weather - rain, snow, slush. Get a scuff - polish them and keep on going. Scuff marks give them character.

My grandparents bought me a pair of these when I was a sophomore in High School. I am now 27 and the soles just cracked. Yes, these shoes survived HEAVY wear for like 12 years. I've hiked in them, gotten them soaked, ridden horses in them, jumped in snow with them, ANYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. I've also shined them twice in those 12 years, other than that, nothing but abuse. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

I just love these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box and fit true to size. I did not experience difficulty with the width like some reviewers. Even with thick socks they were perfect. The perfect shoe for jeans or khakis. The only negative is that the sole is a bit slippery on tile floor. Had some Borns years ago similar but not nearly as comfortable as these.

My first time ordering from Zappos I do have to say it was the fastest shipping ever! I ordered them on Monday at 7pm they were here by Tuesday at 4pm! Now for the shoes - they are very comfortable even when I don't wear my specially made inserts! I am on my feet all day for at least 8 hours and they are very lightweight! thinking of buying a 2nd pair just to have on hand when these get worn! Thank you Zappos for best shipping!

I was looking for a shoe that offered good support while being stylish enough to wear to work with slacks and I found that in the Eastland Plainview. I've been wearing them regularly for the past few weeks and find them to be comfortable while offering my feet the support they need.
