Unfortunately these shoes don't breathe well and make my son's feet sweat and stink!!! I don't know if Keen changed the plastic in the insole but it is terrible - we never had this problem with previous Keens. It is not happen with any other shoes, so its not the feet, it has to be something in the design or materials that is causing lots of sweat in this pair. Sad because they are otherwise a great shoe.

My son loves his Keen sandals and this is the 3rd pair he has had. However, by the end of this summer, this pair smells so bad, that we can't stand to be in the same room with them. When he gets in the car, we have to put them in a sealed bag. He is refusing to wear anything else until summer is over, and I can't spend this much for another pair that will be worn a month. Our other Keen sandals have lasted well enough for 2-3 hand me downs. Unfortunately, this pair will be finding the trash soon.

My son requires a 1 Wide. I ordered a 2, hoping that it would work. I didn't. My son refused to wear them saying that his little toes are being crushed.

Stinky feet! My son does not usually have stinky feet but with these shoes he does. I have to wash them twice to get the stink out. Try Teva if you get stinky piglets with these.

Oh dear these are useful shoes that are easy to get on an off, but our 5 year old told people all summer his feet smelled like a barnyard. When we inquired we were told the sandals were made out of recycled materials. Even the box SMELLED

I love the look of these shoes, and the fit is good. However, my son's feet get terribly sweaty and smelly every time he wears them! I recall the same issue the last time I bought Keens and thought that maybe it was just his feet? Then I asked several friends who either wear Keens themselves or have bought them for their kids and they all report the same problem. If I remember to put a little baby powder in them each day it is less of a problem, but honestly? Who wants that hassle? Will buy something else next time despite how cute they are.

Great shoes - my son loved them. However, within 2 months, the plastic piece the strap is thread through broke rendering the shoe useless. Keen is honoring their warranty and replacing the shoe but at a huge inconvenience as these are my son's primary shoes. In the future, hopefully Keen will change the material they are using for this broken piece.

These are great shoes and we have bought 3 pairs so far, but there is one drawback. They develop a very strong smell awful after a while, maybe because of getting wet. We have not been able to wash the smell away.

Kids do not like the velcro strap. It sticks out on a narrow foot and is generally not as comfortable as last year's model. Keens have gone from most favorite to don't want to wear. Too bad!

My son loved the style of these when he saw them (he has Keen hiking shoes), but he hated the feeling of the textured foot bed. Beware if your child has sensory issues, the inside has a bumpy texture that was bothersome to my son.

Bacteria Breeder... This is such a great looking shoe and my son has loved them. However, I will be tossing these well before he had the chance to grow out of them because of bacteria growth in the fabric liner of the shoe. My son's feet smelled so horrible. I've tried to bacteria clean the shoes, which was only a short term solution. Ultimately a smelly shoe

I've purchased these before and never had problem with them smelling...but these particular shoes stink so bad. I still allow him to wear them but he leaves them in garage and I wash his feet right when he comes in!

I have been buying this version of the sandal since 2008. I love them. All of the pairs I bought I've been able to hand down to my daughter or friends kids...except this year's version. The velcro didn't even last a summer. Very disappointed. For the price I'm actually a bit leery buying them again and for the first time in 5 years I will be looking at other brands instead of just getting these again. They are a great fit and great for comfort, just didn't hold up this time.

The shoes are comfortable and the kids like them. The only problem with them is that after a few days they started to stink, and the smell doesn’t go away. The reason we bought them is because they are supposed to be treated with some anti microbial substance that stops this from happening, but it simply does not work. We bought two pairs, and they are both the same.

Don't buy this sandals. my poor son's feet were so stinky that I had to buy another pair of sandal a week later. What a waste of money! the cloth material is not smart.

I'm having found Keens to be comfortable for myself. I bought these sandals for my two sons, 8 and 6. They loved them but had to stop wearing them very very quickly due to the sweat! I was so disappointed. My kids don't normally suffer badly in that way and I thought for sure these would be sweat free. Nope!

These are wonderful sandals in lots and even most ways. The one huge negative thing about them is that when my daughter wears them the sandals make her feet sweat profusely. The rubber sole and the rubber that wraps up and over the toes does not allow enough air to cool her feet. We got them for her to wear every day this summer but every time her feet become very wet (up at her toes) that she has to take them off. Isn't anyone else having this problem??? I was going to buy myself a pair but now I'm not....I am giving only one star because even if they are made great and look great how is she supposed to enjoy wearing them?
