My son is between a 3 and 4. The size 4 was definitely too big. The size 3 fit well enough to get him through the summer.

Had to exchange for bigger size. I used his current shoes (same type, bluefin brand) . Hoping the bigger size works

My very wide footed son rated these as less comfortable that the Keen Sea Camp II CNX. He said that they were more scratch and stiff. He wears sandals all day during the summer (and summer camp involves a lot of muddy creek time) and has had trouble with blisters and chafing in the past - so we wanted the most comfortable sandals possible.

Sweet little shoes, a little pricey for a thing to be grown out of My kid swears they are not comfortable, it may be that she just likes socks? Love the grippiness Appreciate the elastic tightener wish they could get cleaner when you clean them, also the insole beds get quite funky if you wear them -without socks -in water which is what they are touted for. Not that keen on these.

I got these for one of my oldest son as I'm completely over buying sandals from big box stores, only to have them fall apart after a month or two of wear. They are hard on sandals and wear them pretty much non-stop all summer. These are durable, look to be well made and comfortable (according to a picky 8 year old with sensory issues). He especially likes the thick sole on these. I like that these can be hosed off with water too, if they get muddy. A winner all the way around.

Purchased these in the camo color for my son for camp this summer. He loves the coloration, but had to break them in a couple of times before they were comfortable enough to wear all day. He has a slightly wide foot, and these fit him perfectly.

This looks like a quality summer active water shoe. Good features and style. It runs very wide and I'd say about 1/2 large. Will have to exchange for the smaller size and try it again.

I'm petite (4'11) and have small feet (shoe size 4 1/2). For an upcoming trip to hike the Narrows at Zion National Park, I purchased the Merrell All Out Blaze Nieve (size 5) and these Keen Kids Newport H2 (size 3) to try out. As I expected, the adult Merrells were too big so I returned them. The kids Keens were a big wide, but not a deal breaker. I decided to give them a try and packed them for the hike. They actually worked out really well! My boyfriend bought the more expensive Solomons water shoes, and they were awful! By the end of our hike, his heels were bleeding from all of the rubbing. I was fine with these Keens. They are definitely worth the price because I've also used them in Maui. I wore them to hike the Kalalau Trail to the Hanakapi'ai Falls, and I plan to use them for other water activities on future trips.

They're good, but they aren't as good as I wish they were. This is my son's third year with Keens, and I buy them so he can walk where it's wet/mucky/muddy, etc. and because they are machine washable. His feet pronate in, and my problem is that they need far more support (I feel the same about my own Keen Whispers). We spend a lot of time walking and in nature, and I'd want them to be as supportive as a sneaker - but they aren't. Essentially, these are his second pair of shoes (sneakers, the first), but he wears them more often in summer because they are cooler -- in that they both look better and are better for hot weather.

I had to hide them in the summer gear to keep them off my child's feet. She loves wearing them and can't wait to test them out in the river come spring. Great construction and love the design. These cover the school guidelines for footwear while keeping the child happy and sock free. Good traction and easy on/off elastic straps.

These are very rugged sandals with great traction for our active little ones. Our kids wear them all summer. From the back yard to the beach our kids wear them. The saltwater and chlorine pools don't seem to have a negative effect on them. We like the shade of pink because our 5 year daughter loves pink; they have a different shade of pink them most of her pink cloths. Our son does like that the dirt and sand gets on his feet and too young to understand they are sandals. Like so many other LL Bean products, we keep buying the kids the same thing year after year because the grow out of them long before the wear out or lose their looks

We've been wearing keens for years with no problem, but something weird happened with this one. My daughter went to a water park with them on, so maybe it was because her wet feet were in contact with the rubber for longer than usual, but the soles of her feet got really swollen and painful. She was hobbling by the time she came home. A sailing friend of mine has also told me that these are terrible for sailing, I assume for much the same reason. So yes, for everyday wear in the summer, for great protection from rocks etc. and for shoes that don't mind getting a bit wet, these are your guys. Just don't wear them for long periods if you're going to have wet feet.

We love the shoes - have purchased them for all of the kids. They wear well and are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the laces break - usually it is the plastic end pieces that get pulled off. We often end up having to perform some MacGyver maneuvers to keep them tied.

I would give 5 stars because the sandals protect my sons' toes and hold his feet comfortably when he is playing, however, he does not like them much because his feet sweat a lot. I wore them for a while (he is size 6.5 and I am 8.5 but the sandals are roomy) and yes, my feet were very sweaty after a while. Yet, they are very comfortable

I love these shoes! My son wore them all summer long. They were true to size and never appeared to rub or irritate his feet- a problem we have had with other brands. They are durable, very cute, and well made. He got lots of compliments on them. I have one, little problem with them. They make his feet smell SO bad. We met another child at the park with an identical pair and his Mom told me that they have the same issue! Must be something related to the materials they are made out of. Otherwise, great shoes! Just stinky! haha :)

My 5 yr.old son has very big feet, so I ordered both a size 13 AND a size 1, hoping one of them would be just right. Unfortunately, I had to return BOTH pairs, as the shoe is simply too wide for a kid with a narrow foot. I must agree with other reviews to the same effect. Nice sandal, though- and I wish it worked out for us. Even with the numerous adjustable straps, the sandal was just a bit cumbersome on the foot. It's VERY hard to find a closed toe sandal in sizes beyond infant/toddler.

These shoes are adorable! They have an adjustable cord and velcro straps which is fabulous since I bought a size larger (hopeful to get another summer out of them)! Got the sunrise allure color but I would recommend buying a color with a darker plastic around the toes...the light gray color gets dirty rather easily.

Nice, sturdy, flexible sandal. Kids love the patterns, they wanted to put them on immediately and then wore them around the house all day. Only reason I did not give it a 5 is I don't know yet how they will wear as the season progresses. I expect they will be great, but won't really know until Sept rolls around.

These shoes are great for kids on the go. Hiking and biking, in the water or out, with a secure fit. Two problems I have encountered with two separate pairs are that they make my son s feet smell really bad and they are hard for little hands to put on little feet. I know the footbed is supposed to be antimicrobial, but it doesn't help. The Velcro strap requires two hands to get it tightened around the foot and to get it loosened enough to get it off (after you tighten/loosen the cord lock which also requires two hands and good coordination). I do love that they clean up easily and dry quickly and they fit better and more securely than Crocs.

Too high on instep to be comfortable for my 10 year old son. Much higher than on the adult version, for some reason.

Adorable! My 6 year old loves these shoes. I also bought a pair for my 8 year old (who is a little more sensitive) and the bumpy texture of the shoe on the bottom of his foot bothered him immediately so I had to return them.
