This is the 3rd year my kids will wear these shoes in the summer. They have protection in the front. So, no stubbed toes and should be OK for daycare. They can get wet & will dry nicely. Just rinse off to clean. This year my kids were excited to know that I would be ordering these for them. As with most LL Bean shoes they do run a little big. If your kid has a 1/2 size shoe I would suggest ordering down.

our daughter (4 years old) had a pair of keens last year which lasted all year long, until she grew out of them. super cute but rugged and waterproof for all terrain wear. we will definitely will buy a pair for every spring/summer!

My kids love these shoes and have been wearing them every summer for years. They are very comfortable and durable. My daughter says that they make her run fast. How cute is that! Great sandal for anything to do with summer.

These are fabulous! I buy a pair for my son and daughter each season. They look good ALL summer long despite all that they endure, and can be passed on when they no longer fit.They withstand the busy days of a 5 year old from school, to playground and the sandbox. They are comfortable, look good and extremely well made. They dry quickly when wet and just work for all occasions. My son just loves them! WELL WORTH THE PRICE!

My wife and I bought our 5 year old a pair of these sandals a few years ago. Being a little boy he is rather tough on shoes. He use them as breaks for his tri-cycle, stomped throw water/mud puddles, over rocks, across the fresh cut grass, over the sand and into the ocean he went in his sandals, but they just would not wear out, faded a little but would not wear out.
For the preceding reason, we just bought two new pairs for him and his little sister. I think they are going to outlast me -- the sandals.
Oh and they loves their LL Bean sandals.

My 6 year old boy loves these. It's our 3rd pair of this kind. Cool color for him, cute to look at for me. These are his "dress" sandals. Very tough and rugged too. Love em.

I love Keens, especially for my kids. This is the 5th or 6th pair of them that I have bought. My 6 year old actually asked me when we could get them, since he had grown out of his old ones. They are excellent shoe. They hold up so well that we have gotten a couple of years out of each pair by handing them down to siblings and cousins. They keep his toes protected and best of all they are washable! I just throw them in the washing machine and air dry them. I can't say enough about these shoes.

These sandals are a wonderful investment. They are a bit pricey initial investment but they last for years. I wore mine for 4-5 years and they're still in good shape-- just wanted a new pair. They do run big--use the LL bean shoe sizing chart before ordering.

I bought these for my 9 yr. old grandaughter. She is very active and loves the outdoors. I wanted to purchase something that would be comfortable and yet cool for the summer while she does all kinds of activities. We bought her a pair last year and out grew them. She herself requsted the exact same footweaR AND WAS SO EXCITED WHEN SHE RECEIVED THEM. sHE PUT THEM RIGHT ON.

My son has wide feet so this was a perfect shoe for him. The reinforced toe adds great protection and the cut outs offer ventilation for those sweaty active feet.

Love these sandals. My kids are now 6 & 7 and I've been buying Keens since they were 2. Wash well, wear well, and can be passed on for multiple owners. I'll continue to buy these until my kids no longer find them fashionable, which by my time line should be around 25!

I buy these shoes for my boys every year! We LOVE them. They are great for two very active kids who enjoy sailing, camping, fishing, tree climbing and trekking through the mud, swamps, rivers and fields of our state. No stinky feet or broken toes here!

This is now the 3rd pair of these for our little boy (all in different sizes). He grows out of them before they even look worn. We had a different pair of Teva's that cut into his foot after 1 wearing and came across these. These are comfortable and he keeps them on. He is 5 and can put them on himself. He even wears them in the water at the waterpark. Unfortuantely, I was unable to convince him to get another color so each and every pair is navy blue. They wash great in the machine (air dry) after puddle jumping and he doesn't trip because these are a substantial shoe. Great summer shoe!

Love these Keen shoes for my daughters WIDE feet! They open up so well and velcro down wherever she's comfortable. And they keep her toes from being smashed at YMCA camp!

My 11-year-old selected these because he knows this is one of my favorite color combos (awww, thanks, hon!). He said he "loves that they don't hurt your feet or scrape your heels when you first wear them." Mama loves that he didn't get blisters! Yay! He also said, "once you get used to them you want to wear them all the time because they're so fun and so comfortable!" And "they make great hiking and climbing shoes!" As is typical of the Keen brand, these shoes have a wide toe box, so each of the little piggies have plenty of space. And the Velcro closure makes 'em easy to slip on and off. Everyone in our family has at least one pair of Keens! They are just a quality, durable, comfortable, and great-looking brand! Highly recommend Keens to anyone.
