We get Keens for our girls every year. They hold up extremely well for hiking, swimming and long days of walking through the zoo etc. the toe protection and the fact that then don’t hold odor is a huge bonus in our house

Keens are a summer staple for my kids. They see them through weeks of day camp, miles of trail walks, and hours of outdoor play. When they get dirty, I toss them in the washer and they're good as new. They can tend to get a pretty funky odor after time, but I've found that washing, baking soda, and charcoal deodorizers are helpful. Also, Keen provides free replacement bungee laces if you happen to break one. I ordered the red pair for my 8 year old son. The color is bright and true to the picture. Very sharp looking. He wears a 5.5, but I got a 6. They're roomy, but I prefer he have some room to wiggle and grow.

Bought these for my 10 yo, she loves them!! The yellow is so bright, just what she wanted. They are roomy, but keens usually are. Would buy these again!

These shoes last forever!

My 10 year old says "nice toe space and the color is awesome" I usually get him size wide, but he fell in love with this color so i risked it - and so far, it's fine.

Keens are a great summer shoe for the whole family, but especially perfect for kids. My boys each outgrew their last pair (both pairs made it through two springs, extremely busy summers, & falls as their daily footwear) and each chose this model and rainbow color for their new foot gear. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the rainbow coloring, initially thinking it would be too garish, but was happy when we opened them and I realized they weren’t anymore garish than kids typically enjoy being. They fall in line with our other Keen shoes; roomy, comfortable, and just as great for the many different outdoor activities as they are for everyday shoes.

Placed order 8am and received next day 1pm. Comfortable, good quality and machine washable. Have 4 pair of these Keen shoes.

If I could, I'd give these shoes 10 stars. I have 5 grandchildren, ages 3 to 14. For years, every spring I have bought each of them a pair of Keen Newport H2's. These are without exaggeration the best children's shoe ever invented. They are comfortable, cute, washable, protect their toes and give great support for growing feet, and aren't ridiculously expensive. They never, EVER wear out. Mountains, beach, hiking, camps, school and woods - they are perfect for everything these active kiddos can dish out. Sure do wish they'd been around when my children were little!

My son loves them. They are a good sturdy sandal for a growing rough boy.

We love Keens but I wish they had half sizes.

Great fit and style. I'm a women's size 5, and the 3 Little Kid fits perfectly -- with and without socks. I have a foot drop issue, so I need a comfortable shoe that straps securely. This shoe works for me. The tie dye style is very colorful and fun.

Don't know what cheap open cell rubber compound the sole is made out of, but these stink so terrible. My 4yr old son wore them for three days and the odor was so bad I wanted to burn them. I scrubbed the sole with baking soda/vinegar paste and let it sit for a few hours, then washed them on hot with some bleach and it got the stink out. I had to repeat this process 5 times before I just require my boys to wear ankle socks with them. That seems to have eliminated the odor problem, but now I'm buying lots of inexpensive socks.

My son lives in Keens almost year round until he grows out of them. These never wear out!

My son has had Keen sandals for five Summers. They are the best for a busy boy.

A great quality shoe for my 6 year old, and he loved the different color option. Easy for her m to get on and off by himself. We had a hand me down pair from a friend and were so excited to size up with these. He has regular width feet and these fit him great.

Love these shoes. Don't have to worry about my kids tripping over their flip flops running around. Comfortable - kids like to wear them. This is our 6th pair between 2 boys.

I bought these for my 6.5 year old son who is tall for his age and wears a size 13.5-1 (bought size 1). They fit right out of the box and he says they are comfortable. He needed covered shoes that are tough and water play-capable for camp and these fit the bill. Definitely pricier than other kid summer shoe options but I have the option of trying to pass them down to his little brother when he grows out of them by next summer. Also, the cheaper ones they sell in big box stores tend to wear out before the end of the summer these are definitely built to last. With Zappos' generous return policy I think trying out or even buying a few to size correctly if needed is a no brainer.

I've always been a fan of Keens especially this style. This is the third pair I've purchased for my daughter and probably the 10th pair collectively as a family. While I prefer a more sleek looking shoe for myself, for the kids and my husband this shoe is great. It's versatile like a gym shoe in the sense that has a rugged outsole and protective toe cap so the kids can run around outside, but it keeps their feet cool like a sandal for the summer. It fit true to size for my daughter, and she wears them for every occasion in the summer. We got the red ones because she wanted a less cliche "girly" color. If you are looking for a gym shoe type sandal that can get wet, muddy, and whatever else life throws at you, then this is the shoe. Whenever they're smelly or dirty, I just throw them in the wash, air dry, and then they're good to go for her. ext adventure.
