I have a 9-year old boy that is VERY tough on shoes and after a full summer of outdoor play, boy scout hikes, weeks at the beach, trip to Disney, brakes for his bike / skateboard, etc...these shoes look new! They are very obviously comfortable for him as he wears them everyday! I am amazed and thrilled that LL Bean carries these magnificent shoes!

This is without a doubt the best summer sandal I have ever bought for my daughter. I knew a friend who recommended it and I was a bit daunted at the price, but it is the perfect shoe/sandal that goes from dirt to water and back...basically the best of everything for summer. BUY this shoe and you will not regret it. It is roomy enough that my daughter will wear it for two summers easily. She has already worn it for two weeks of outdoor camp, mud, sand, water, etc. and they look brand new. I'm amazed at the quality and will definitely buy them again!

I've got a daughter who loves to run, climb, and be outdoors, so when it came time to find a shoe for summer camp this seemed like the perfect option. I'm happy to say I've not been disappointed. I love the fact it has an enclosed heel and toe. My daughter finds them very comfortable and likes that she can get them on and off herself. Generally she is a size 10 shoe, and I bought these in an 11. They fit really well with a little room to grow in the toe, but they don't feel too big on her when she wears them. They aren't the cheapest shoes out there, but you get what you pay for where this shoe is concerned. Well worth the money.

I like these shoes for my kids because they protect their toes. I also have a pair of Keen's for my son. I frequently get asked where I got them. They are comfortable, waterproof, and my kids can get them on by themselves. Zappos has great service, and the shoes were here within 2 days. I was very pleased.

Best shoes for summer ever! This is our 3rd pair and they are unbeatable. Don't have to worry about stubbed toes, skimpy straps even on rough terrain. Love these shoes (even the adults at our house wear them!).

I have become a believer in keens! I purchased these for my 4 year old girl and 2 year old son and people ask all the time, where can I buy those?! They are perfect for summer play. They, brand-new, did not rub or cut up their feet. They protect toes in ways flip flops can't. We wear them everywhere. Being waterproof, they play in the lake/river/puddles, and clean right up looking new. Absolutely worth the money. They are true to size but I would suggest going a size bigger if on the fence. They are form fitting sandals as it is. The only negative thing I can say is, they aren't 4 year old friendly as in, they can get them off but not on without help. But, I can handle that. Buy them! Truly cute and fantastic.

Love these sandals! This is the second year I purchased them (I got them in crocus). The fit is great and my kids say they are comfortable. I like that they can get wet and they don't seem to get rocks etc. inside them when we are out playing. I also bought the black/green for my son and the color is great.

Our whole family has a pair of these, and this is my 4 year old's 3rd pair and her favorites. They are the best shoes there ever could be for a little, active, dirty kid. They are washable in the machine and never get smelly! Awesome!

We love Keens! Yep they get stinky, I throw them in the wash, or rub them down with a little peroxide and they are better. They last forever, my kids out grow them and pass them down to cousins whom then pass them down again. They are indestructable. We have purchased over ten pair for 5 people in the last 4 years. I'm still on my 1st pair, like I said they are indestructable. Love the closed toe for my kiddos. They bike, hike, and live in their keens without issues.

I had hoped to get another pair of Raleighs in Keen, but they didn't seem to be available anymore.
These were an option we tried, but my daughter didn't like putting them on - she's not yet 3 - because her Keens from last year had an open heel, with just the hook/eye closure.
Loved the colors on these - Raya Lilac Sachet - as I know that 1) they would match everything, and 2) they wouldn't look as "dirty" after a day outside.

This is my sons 6th pair of these sandals, and he is 7 years old. he lives in them all summer, and yep, they do stink. i usually throw them in the washer once a week and he just puts them back on wet. these shoes hold up really well, the ones from last year still look great! (wish they still fit)

Best summer shoes I've found for my kids. They may seem pricey, but I bought them big (which has been fine...not any blisters) and they're the only shoe I got this summer. They are a tennis shoe, sandal, and water shoe all in one. Also if reading this you're at the right website. I've never had any problems with Zappos! Incredibly helpful and seem to truly want to help the customer! So pleasant! Thanks Zappos for always exceeding expectations!

I love these shoes for my daughter. She has gone hiking walked over boulders, swimming, amusement parks. They dry fast and have really good traction. Props to Zappos the day I ordered her shoes my nephew had the same pair. She tried them on and they were too small. I called and they changed my order right away and I received them the next day. Zappos customer service is awesome! The customer service rep was so nice I bought a pair of shoes the next day.

I bought these shoes for my 5 year old daughter who needed some play shoes for the summer. She loves them. They\'re very comfortable and easy for her to get on and off. Plus, there\'s no odor, which was an issue with a similar pair of Stride Rite shoes I bought her last summer.

I bought these for my 5 year old son who is going to be in multiple summer day camps because I wanted to him to have shoes that were cooler than tennis shoes but still protected his foot/toes while he was busy playing hard at camp. These seem to be perfect, he has only worn them a few times so far but he seems to love them and I am hopeful they will last him all summer long.

I purchased these for my granddaughter and she loves them. They are her go to shoe for the summer. Ideal for play or casual dress-up; they don't get dirty like a sneaker. Cool and comfortable in hot weather with extremely good support. I would highly recommend the Keen Newport Sandals.

I first bought a pair of these for myself, after hearing so much about them. Then, I bought them for our 3 children and my husband. Granted these are not an inexpensive shoe, but they are worth the money! I wish they made keens in a dress shoe I can wear to work! The kids feet are comfortable walking, running, etc. With a different pair of sandals, my son and daughter complained about their feet hurting after a while, with the keens, they are in them all day- no complaints. The covered toe is perfect for protecting the toes!

These are great sandals. Perfect for all kinds of terrain & activity. My kids were even allowed to wear these sandals to phys ed class in school. Great comfort from the 1st wear, never caused any rubbing or soreness.

This shoe made my daughter's day. We went to Busch Gardens for the day and went on all of the water rides. It was amazing to see how quick and easy the shoe allowed for my daughter's foot to dry. There was no rubbing of the shoe on any particular parts of the foot. She was allowed to run, jump and splash in ALL of the puddles without worrying if she was going to fall or not. For the price of the shoe, the parent is put at ease for comfort level, ability for child to put on and take off shoe, how quick the shoe dries, and durability for running, jumping and trekking all day. I would highly encourage all parents of active children to purchase a pair to fit the child's personality.
