I am not looking to buy a pair of shoes, I came back on here only to rant about these shoes. I work at a waterpark and wore these all summer for over 1,000 hours this past summer season. I am in and out of pools all day and these shoes are absolutely great. I use these when I walk the slides to inspect them and they do great on fiberglass (a very wet smooth surface) and they do well on rough rock surfaces as well. I can scale straight up inclines at about 45 degrees without a problem. They go from wet to dry well and don't rub wrong. They are great for everything except swimming in open water with, but that is to be expected. Best aquatic shoe I have ever owned, even if you don't like the look, get them just because you will thank yourself when you wear them.

These are the best and most durable sandals I have ever bought! I had my first pair for two years before the tread even began to wear and I wear these shoes every day. I wear shoe inserts and these are one of the only durable sandals I could find that would fit my inserts.

These are one of the bests products Keen has made since they first hit the market place. They offer great support for hiking, and feel good on the arch without an orthodic. Wear well in the water, too. Perfect all around shoe for a summer trip. Wish there were more color choices than brown and brown. Looking forward to seeing more color options.

I cannot praise these shoes highly enough! I wore them on a hiking tour of the Amalfi coast, up and down hills, over rocks, gravel, concrete and grass. I love them because I don't have to wear socks with them--although I do have an interesting tan line. Only once did a piece of gravel get in, but I fished it out with my finger. The arch support is amazing, especially if you have foot problems and/or high arches, both of which I have. The perfect hiking shoe.

Very comfortable shoe. I've had others similar to this brand, but this shoe feels much more durable.

Keen Arroyo II's are worth every penny!
I've had my eye on these shoe/sandals ever since it came out. I tried on my a pair that my brother bought and knew that I had to get a pair for myself. I love the fact that they can be worn with or without socks. On a hot day they do get a little sweaty on the bottom of your feet but the overall 'breath ability' of these shoes are great. I highly recommend for those outdoor, summer, flip-flop wearing, people who occasionally like to take the dirt path toward their next spring or summer adventure.

Speechless -
I have to say, I'm blown away by both these shoes and by Zappos customer service. The shoes are super comfortable and felt true to size. I initially ordered the previous model because I liked the color better, but all that was left was a 1/2 size smaller than my normal size. The were tight and giving me hot-spots, so I decided to return them. I called Zappos at 3pm PST, AND STILL RECEIVED THE SHOES NEXT DAY!!! Truly one of the best companies to deal with; PERIOD!

These are great. I have big, flat feet. For a woman, size 12 shoes are few an far between. So I got these men’s 10s. They fit, they are comfortable, the accommodate my orthotics. They aren’t pretty, but pretty isn’t everything.

I took the advice of others here and ordered a half-size smaller. They fit perfectly. Look and feel good, too. These are keepers. The orange is more muted than in the photos.

Is it a sandal? Is it a shoe? No matter. It can be either. I like Keen's in that way; versatile.
For my very flat feet the boxy nature of Keen's toe area is ideal. My feet can spread out as needed and still be comfortable and protected.
My one caveat is the way this shoe snugs down on the foot. The tightening toggles tend to work loose requiring somewhat constant attention. This seems to be an engineering problem in that the tongue flaps are wide and a single toggle is not enough to hold them tight.
But, all in all, I'm pretty satisfied with this Keen model.

Ordered this shoe along with the Teva Omnium. The Teva is finished off a little better offering multiple adjustment possibilities:bunge cord foot width, strap for holding foot in place, and another strap for holding heel in place. Arroyo II manages all those functions with a single bunge cord. Seems to work because it allows you to pull in two directions separately as required for fine tuning. The Keen also has a more aggressive lug sole, and a removable footpad for those who might want to use an aftermarket or prescription orthotic. The toe box also seemed to be a little wider though I have found that wide feet usually require a 1/2 size larger.

A pretty comfortable merging of shoe and sandal. I purchased these in anticipation of a canoeing trip in MN. I'm so tired of wet boots on portages I thought I would give these a try. I would like to see these in a version with more ankle support, but we'll see how they hold up. They do run a little larger than other sizes (usually a size 16 in New Balance/Merrill, when I first ordered in size 16, I had 1.5" of extra room at the toes!)

I have worn Arroyo IIs for years. Keen recently changed the sizing of at least the size 13. They are a lot bigger now than they used to be. My feet swim around inside the shoes now. If you have got the same problem, try the Keen Glissan. These sandals are a little nicer and fit great.

I liked the feel but not the fit. The sole provides for more balanced and confident landing but I found the fit on back loose and uncomfortable.perhaps not a good fit for my feet.

Great initial fit and a very solid feel. BUT like several other reviewers, I found that the drawstring adjustment would not stay tight. I had to stop and tighten it every 5 minutes. Bummer, because otherwise the shoes were exactly what I wanted.

The seam in the center of the tongue is raised and abrasive to me. I very much like other Keen products; in fact, I will exchange these for a more familiar model.

The shoe is comfortable, HOWEVER, the clips that keep the laces tight are not strong enough. When walking on tipped or uneven surfaces, the laces loosen. Very unsafe in wet or uneven conditions. We are hoping that regular laces can replace the ones provided so they can be tied securely.

I bought these sandals for my husband. He has worn out 2 other pairs of Keen sandals so I know he likes the brand. I think these will last a little longer for his type of wear because the sole is sturdier and the straps are not attached in the same way.

These run biggerr than my size 12 Newport H2's. I bought the Newports at a retail store, so was able to try them on. I thought these would fit the same, but they are quite a bit bigger. My foot is wandering around in the sandal. They feel like they'll be much better for walking in compared to the Newport H2.

Like others, I found these Keens to run large. I am usually a size 10 or 10.5 depending on the shoe. 9.5 fit me best with these Arroyo II's.
