MW844 - A real good looking shoe. Can be worn as casual or to the office. Arch support has a good feel and will handle inserts with no problem.

Roger - This shoe does not have the support that the New Balance 926 has. I ordered the 844 in size 12 1/2 D and it came in too short, so I ordered the 13 D. Only after wearing the 13 D outside did I realize they were too wide. My true foot size is 12.

Great shoe - just remember to order larger size - Great looks and overall feel, but you really need to order at least one size longer and wider than your normal sizing.

Concerning fit of NB walking shoe - I have returned a pr. of walking shoes because of poor fit. The NB shoes seem to be made smaller in width. I bought MW844 they seem to be a little better.

Pressure on ball of left foot - Seems to be a bulge or ridge in the toe-end of the left shoe putting uncomfortable pressure on my foot. Not an issue with another pair of NBs that I've had for awhile.

Hope they improved the roll bar - Had a similar pair with the roll bar design and after a couple of months of wearing them they started to have a funky odor, like a dirty litter box. Found out from a retailer the problem was not my feet or sock's it was from the roll bar assembly. Seem's that if a little moisture get's in the roll bar assembly it has a reaction with the material. New Balance told me they should be protected from the element's so do not wear the shoes when it rain's or walk through wet grass with these shoe's on. GREAT ANSWER NEW BALANCE.
