Love the shoes! So cute, very comfortable. I personally wish I didn’t order a 1/2 size up initially. I wear a 7.5 and originally ordered 8 as Zappos suggested. They were way too big. I ordered 7.5 and they fit perfectly. The black tejus color is gorgeous. It’s got the slightest shimmer to it. Not glittery or glitzy, just a super sexy shimmer. I hope they restock the green tejus in my size. I want the Zebra... and the pewter... and the leopard...

I’ve tried what seems like a million different pairs of flats before I decided to get these. I was hesitant because of the price, but these are definitely worth it. I ordered 2 pairs; one in my regular size and one a size up. While I could have gotten away with the smaller size, the back of the heel was too tight when walking. So, I kept the larger size for comfort. I really hope they don’t stretch out! The shoe could be a little narrower across the arch to prevent gaping on the side, but oh well! Best flat I have found. I have black and pewter.

The previous reviews suggesting to get a half size larger were correct and I appreciated them. There are a few brands that warrant a half size larger and I will remember this one as being one of them. I wore these shoes for long distance flying in order to facilitate the requirement of removing my shoes for security, as well as having a shoe that was not too tight to allow for swelling, etc. These were great for that.

I purchased this shoe in black and cement suede. I usually have really easy feet to fit--a size 7 always fits, I rarely have problems. After reading the reviews, I ordered a 7.5 and I’m so glad (thank you to all who took the time to write a review!). This shoe runs *small* the 7.5 fits like a 7. The 7.5 is snug, not too snug just like it needs breaking in. I’m going to keep the black and return the cement because the cement looks too much like a house slipper and that’s not the look I want. Also, one thing to note is that the front part does come up high (on me, it hits just past the knuckle on my big toe), which feels high compared to other ballet flats and I thought about not keeping them. However, when I look at the reflection in the mirror they look super cute and funky, not matronly.

Absolutely LOVE these shoes!!! I wanted cute and comfortable basic ballet flats that don't blister my heels and ones that cover all of my toes completely. They are super nice. I am getting them in all different colors. So cute! I get so many compliments!

I bought the Sloops in two colors and wear them all the time. Before ordering from Zappos, I phoned the French Sole store in New York and asked about sizing. They said they always ask a customer what size she normally is, and then they bring out one-half size larger. So while I always wear a size 9, I ordered a 9 1/2 and they were the perfect length. They do run wide but my foot conformed to them almost immediately. No arch support, but very comfortable (they do not bind the feet at any point) and thus they are very easy to wear all day long. Very stylish with ankle-length pants and skinny jeans. Great shoe for spring and summer.

My experience, of course, began with excellent service from Zappos. I ordered my shoes on Saturday and they arrived on Monday! How does Zappos do that? I love the shoes. You should order a half size larger, for sure. No foot support, but precious, fun shoes for just about every outfit and occasion.

I wear flats pretty much every day, especially to work and I’ve been looking for some better quality flats that are comfortable. After doing some research, I kept seeing that "French Soles" seemed to be the most comfy flat. I ordered French Sole’s "Sloop" in the black suede and zebra suede. I usually wear a 9, 9 1/2 and rarely sometimes a 10, but with these shoes I ordered a 10 and they fit perfect! So I’m very glad I listened to the reviews and got a half size up. The shoes are a little wide which works well with me since my foot is not narrow. At first I thought they looked kind of ugly on my foot, but they have totally grown on me and I have received compliments already. They look really cute with my skinny jeans. As far as comfort goes, the leather they are lined with is really soft. There is no arch support (but there aren’t many flats that have that), but they are comfy and the leather lets your foot breathe better and stay dry more than the cheaper man-made flats. I think they are a great everyday flat and a must have that you can get in various colors. Next I want to buy the metallic silver and brown suede. My feet still hurt after 8 hours of wearing these just like the cheaper ones, but they are just nicer to wear. Feel really soft and light on the foot. Also, since they are real leather, your foot stays healthier in them. I am hooked on the "Sloops" now! Definitely will be getting those other colors soon!

These shoes are so cute and so comfortable. They do run a bit small so get the next size up.

I love these shoes!! The leather lining keeps my feet cool and, because they're flat, I'm comfortable in these all day. And they are absolutely adorable!

I ordered these in red yesterday and received them today! Thanks Zappos. I phoned the people at the FS/NY store and asked them about correct sizing. They said that they ask for a customer's regular shoe size and then get one-half size up, which is what I ordered from Zappos. They were right. These shoes have a wide fit and are a half-size shorter than normal. Also no arch support, but otherwise a comfortable, leather-lined fit and very, very cute, casual style. I will order more colors and wear them with capri pants this spring. Lightweight, but well made. So chic!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my shoes!!! I have two pairs and will definitely be buying more. They are great with dress pants as well as jeans. I agree with some of the other reviews in that they are a little snug at first...more so with the suede shoe than the leather, but they break in very quickly. I will definitely buy more!!!

I ordered the leopard pair of these shoes because they looked so cute online. Very disappointed the quality isn't especially impressive as they feel quite flimsy. While I don't expect much arch support in a flat, I do expect SOME cushioning. Returned these the very next day.

I love that these are so cute. I have not seen another pair of ballet flats that even come close to what I want. Their adorable, gorgeous, perfect. One problem for me though - I have narrowish feet - between a regular b and narrow or aa. So the shoes are pretty wide on me, and ripple on the sides. I hate that they don’t work. Aside from that, they were very comfortable. Order a half size up – I’m between an 8 and 8.5 (probably closer to 8.5) and I ordered a 9. The length was perfect.

The shoe is cute and actually covers your toes, unlike many flats I’ve tried. However, the back flips off every time I walk in them and I get blisters -- not comfortable.

These are the most comfortable ballet flats, ever. They do run small, so order up a 1/2 to full size. They are great for summertime wear, especially when you don’t feel like wearing shoes.

This was my first pair of French Soles. A week after I bought this pair I bought another, I liked them that much. They are comfortable and I can go from work to play without changing my shoes. I am either an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe and I bought a 8.5 in this style and they fit perfectly.

I get a lot of compliments on these shoes, I have the giraffe print. The only disappointing feature is the fact that the colors bleed really easily when wet. I don’t wear them on rainy days. The shoes are cute and comfortable, but I wouldn’t pay over $100 for them. Also, order half a size up!

I thought these shoes were cute and somewhat comfortable. However, they seemed very wide. Also, they smelled so much like a permanent marker that I had to return them. I tried a different pair, and same problem - bad smell. Because of the smell I don’t recommend them.

Very cute, but also very flat. The suede is soft and the red color is lovely, but there’s no support, and you can feel rocks and things when you step on them. Insoles help though.

A great classic ballet flat. Not much arch support or cushioning, but they look great with tights and a tunic and are still pretty comfortable. I ordered 1 full size up and they fit great. I will be ordering the brown ones as well.

I really wanted to like these but they are not feminine. They look like the Chinese Mary Jane slippers I used to wear when I was little (minus the strap of course). They are cut too high on the top, perhaps if they were cut lower or came to more of a point at the toe they would be sexier. I normally wear 7 1/2 and the 8 fit me in the length but they were too wide for me (my feet are on the narrow side but I still wear a medium width). These would be good for wide feet.

Comfortable, but they are definitely not form-fitting. After the first wear, the shoe stretched and does not flatter the foot at all. I'll gladly keep these and wear with long jeans or slacks, but never a skirt or dress that would show my feet.

I ordered these shoes in several colors and textures because they were exactly the look I was wanting. Unfortunately, they run at least as full size short. They are very cute shoes, but killer on the feet unless you order up. Since I'm a size 12, there is no size larger, so I wear these sometimes anyway, and then spend a few days recovering.
