I love the French Sole Sloop. I couldn't believe how quickly they arrived, in less than 24 hours. How do you do that? Anyway, I listened when the reviews said to order a half size larger, and they were just right. I love the looks of them; and they are very comfortable, like wearing bedroom slippers, only much classier looking! I love Zappos service.

Very snappy color and truly comfortable. Would prefer that the tag was not so obvious. Why should I be a billboard? But otherwise they are a dream and as mentioned, the color is really perfect--not a cheap cobalt but a soft but very fresh marine. Great with a tan, white pants or dark gray tights.

Cute Shoes, clean lines and very basic. I have large, wide feet. Normally I wear 9 WW, but the 11 actually fit! I ordered a 10 before and it was a little tight on the top. The 11 fit perfectly.

Wonderful, simple ballet flats. Completely low-key. The other reviews are correct. They come up a little high on the foot so they look very much like canvas Chinese slippers. But classier! Also, there really is no padding whatsoever so if you live in a city and plan to do lots of walking, you will need some sort of insole. I have very wide feet and these fit wonderfully with no break-in. I'm between a 7.5 and an 8. I tried the 8 and the 8.5 (since these are supposed to run large). The 8 was perfect and the 8.5 huge.

I'm a size 8 with a pretty wide footbed and a high arch. The 8.5 works for me. These definitely run wide, but they also come up a bit high on the top of the foot, which digs in a little and left a mark at first. But that has gotten better as I've broken them in. Of course, they don't have sneaker support, but they're comfy in a slipper-like way, and look cute with skinny jeans. Because they're suede, they do get a bit dirty.

I bought these shoes because I heard they are so comfy and they are, but after several wears, they lose their shape and tend to look all stretched out. I felt for they price they didn\'t hold up.

Bought my first two pair of French Sole Sloops at the French Sole boutique. I walked out with two pairs, purple and navy. They were so comfy! I would have walked out with more had I not had an entire day planned in NYC! As soon as I got home I ordered 4 more colors through Zappos. Everyone else is right. You definitely need to order a 1/2 size up. I usually wear a 9 and I am a 9.5 in these shoes. They are really soft and feels like you are walking in slippers. The only downfall is that they lack support. So although they are extremely comfy, you may want to put in an extra insole before walking long distances! They are the perfect basic flat.

I had originally ordered a less expensive pair of black flats and ended up exchanging them for these in the black suede. For a ballet flat, these are very comfortable - they seem to have more padding than most. I normally wear an 8.5 and per the product description, I ordered a 9. I am very glad I did - they fit perfectly. I love the constuction of the shoe and they stay on my foot as I walk. I will be ordering this shoe in additional colors - a great basic!

I love these shoes! Reading the other reviews, I decided to buy a half size larger than I normally wear and they fit fine. They are cute and comfortable, perfect with any casual outfit. The sole is thin, maybe an insole would help, but other than that, I love them.

The best pair of flats I have ever come across. I will definitely buy them in other colors. I always wear a size 7, this are a very snug size 7. I could have easily gone up a 1/2 but I think they are going to stretch because of the soft leather.

The shoes are really easy to wear with everything and look great. However, I have to agree with other reviewers that they lack cushion and comfort in the sole when wearing them for long stretches of time. I did have to go up a half size from my normal size, too.

This is my second pair of these shoes and I have worn them to death! They are comfortable and feel like real ballet slippers. I do have a high arch, but these are almost as good as going barefoot, which i love. I can't complain about that. Most perfect pair of shoes. Very chi-chi. Order the size you normally wear. I order 1/2 size down thinking they might be wide. They fit like a glove. Love them!

First of all, I have 4 pairs of these, and they are amazing. Secondly, although all the reviews say to order a half size up, I have found that mine have stretched out so much due to the buttery softness of the leather, that I now order my exact size. They will stretch. Absolutely no arch support, but super cute and goes with everything. So easy to just slip on and you're ready to go. Also, I have very narrow feet and these fit perfectly, with no gaps.

I really wanted to love these shoes. They're adorable, and would work with so many different outfits. Unfortunately, they really didn't fit me well. They are a strange fit. They are narrow through the sole and wide at the top. This resulted in huge gaps around the back of my foot and heel. I know this description is probably hard to understand, so maybe I'll just simply state that they're really wide. It was good advice, however to order up a half size as my regular size would have been much too short! I'm very sad to be sending them back because the leather really is as soft as butter and I can tell that, once worn in, they would have been a comfortable favorite. Too bad.

It fits perfectly and looks fantastic with everything. It's a beautiful shaped shoe which is important when it's so basic. The sole is very thin so I wouldn't plan on doing a lot of walking on pavement in these shoes. But they are great for the dance floor!

I bought these to replace my cheap black flats that I wore all the time, but were uncomfortable and falling apart. I ordered 1/2 size up, per reviews, and the fit was perfect. I love how they look on my foot, which is fairly narrow. I did have a pretty terrible break in period. They rubbed my heels raw. After a few days wear, and band-aid protection, they now fit like slippers. No arch support, but still very comfortable, even for walking and standing all day. They go with everything! So cute, and love the quality! Totally worth the price!

Just got these shoes today. The 6 was a perfect fit for me -- and I am usually between a 5.5 & a 6. So, I think the other reviewers are right about ordering about a 1/2 size up. I actually got these because I had to return a pair of Frye flats that were too big in a size 6. The shoes are really simple and cute (I got the black suede). I think they will be very good for jeans, dresses, pretty much anything, and seem to be comfortable and well constructed. They feel more substantial and are a better fit than most flats I've had. They mold to your feet very well. One thing, though: they stink like rubber/weird chemicals when you first get them. I hope the smell wears off soon!

I ordered both the black suede and the cement suede. I returned the cement b/c it looked too much like a house slipper rather than the summery flat I was hoping for. These shoes definitely run small. I have really easy feet to fit and wear a size 7 with very rarely any issues. After reading the reviews, I ordered a 7 1/2 and they are definitely form-fitting (picture skin-tight jeans for your foot). They're not uncomfortable, b/c they fit the shape of your foot but there's very little room for those little foot socks. They do come up high on my foot (about just past the knuckle on my big toe) but I think they look kind of modern rather than dowdy. They are comfy, but definitely no arch support. Also, I’m just wearing them around the office, I don't think they are sturdy enough to survive long on the city streets.

Beautiful color and extremely comfortable!!!! The one downside is that the leather at the front tends to crease, ruining the shape of the shoe.

The French Sole sloop is my favorite shoe! It is my everyday shoe. I walk in it, wear it to work and out after hours. Most people recommend buying a half size larger, but I prefer to buy my regular size because due to the nature of the material the shoe will stretch. I order my first sets of sloops larger and after stretching they looked like slippers. They were so comfortable I just ignored it, but my 8 1\/2s are much more presentable!

I call these my expensive slipper! Very cute for work, probably the closest you can get to being barefoot (that can be good and bad). Very flat but still comfortable.

I got these shoes in the bronze metallic color. They’re very cute, but more casual than I was looking for. The seams had a little rubbing on them in the back, but it looks like that may have been intentional(?) because of their casual style. I have very narrow feet and so those shoes gaped a bit at the side when I wore them. The insides were comfortable, it was a little tight for the size, and no arch support. The shoe also stayed on when I moved around - unlike other flats I’ve worn. If I’d been looking for something casual, I’d have kept them. But was going for a dressier style. Oh well.

I was super excited to try the Sloop, but was extremely disappointed once I received the shoe. I ordered the black naplak thinking it would look like a patent, but instead it looks like a wrinkled black garbage bag. To make matters worse, I didn’t love the look of the shoe - it was flimsy which made shoe look sloppy and once on, the shape reminded me of a bad slipper. Going to have to send these ones back...

These are wonderful flats! So comfortable and stylish. Just remember, they run small so you must size up 1/2 size. I usually wear an 8 and ordered an 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly!

These are the greatest shoes ever. I have 5 pairs. They are comfortable enough to go for long walks on the first day. I've had a few pairs for years now and although I always wear them barefoot, they never get stinky. They are simple flats that go with everything, and I get compliments on them all the time. I used to walk to work in them everyday, but now I am a stay at home mom. They are perfect to outings and errands. Stylish and comfortable. If you are looking for the perfect flat, look no further! They do run a little small, so you may want to order half a size up.
