Cute lil' shoe. Not much support, and is a bit wide, but otherwise I am very happy with the purchase. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day, so I need cute yet comfortable shoes to complement my wardrobe. If you get the suede, make sure you get it protected at your local shoemaker/bootery!

French Sole Sloop - Very cute flat. I bought it in the red suede and really like the way it looks. I have a hard time finding flats that I'll actually wear and don't cut into my feet while still staying on. That is the great thing about these shoes... they are made of nice, soft, good quality leather that molds to your foot rather than being hard and pre-shaped ... which is probably why the shoe runs so small. You kind of need it to be snug to stay on. Thankfully, a snug shoe like this one does not hurt the way others might. I did end up getting a half-size larger, but now that I've worn them around a bit, I'm torn on whether I should have stuck with the original size because the leather does stretch out some. Be aware that there is basically no support in this shoe. It's like a really cute slipper :)

Not what I thought - Love the shoe... very comfortable… runs small so get a half size bigger. However, from the picture shown I thought I was getting a leather look, but instead the shoe is patent leather. I don't need a patent shoe so am not sure whether or not I will keep them because they are expensive.

Fit like a glove - I was looking for ballet type shoes as I have a hard time with very constructed flats (or heels for that matter). I wanted a slipper feel. I got it with these shoes. Very pricy but for what I needed, well worth it to me. They are SO soft and wonderful to wear. The ONLY drawback I have is that the sole is very minimal so you have to watch where you wear them. No rainy days or muddy walkways, please. I wipe the soles off regularly with a wet paper towel and I'm good to go. The soles are man-made material so that may be why they get yucky after so many wearings, but to me they are exactly what I wanted and feel so comfortable. I had to go up a size as stated in the guide. There are times I can't wear thong sandals or boots but need a closed in shoe. These fit the bill.

Cute shoe - It took three tries to get the right size--I ended up with a whole size larger than I normally wear--they are very comfortable for around the house--no support whatsoever!

Almost Awesome - The shoe is definitely a cute and simple shoe. I purchased the bronze metallic in a size 8. I am a 7.5 but listened to everyone's reviews. Definitely order at least a half-size up. If you are on the larger end of your true size, a full-size up may work for you too. Initially the shoe felt SO comfortable. Soft and flexible. But, on my first full day of walking, I felt some pinching on the outer "knuckles" of the balls of my feet on the top. It is just the slightest bit narrow. Enough to feel a bit uncomfortable walking. I'm keeping the shoe though because I think I might be able to stretch them out with continued wear. They are not stiff, so this seems possible. Walk around your house in them for while before committing.

Great design, inconsistent fit - PLUSES: The design of this shoe is pretty basic. I find it fashion-forward enough to go with all my jeans and trendy designs, but simple enough to coordinate with my more conservative wardrobe choices. The price point is relatively affordable - the under $100 price tag is nice, but the design is not very complicated, & materials are average. As an ex-ballerina, I am constantly searching for shoes that are stylish, but that more importantly fit my bunions. This shoe works for me, but that may be more about the suede material which is very forgiving and stretches than that which can be attributed to the design. In any case, it is comfortable, which for me is paramount in any selection of shoes. CONS: the sizing is woefully inconsistent, which is sadly becoming the norm in this day and age of mass-manufacturing. I usually wear an 8, but twice ordered an 8.5 and in one case a 9. I guess that is of no major concern, what with Zappos' excellent customer service and ease with returns. All in all, I rate this shoe at four stars.

Buy large - This is a cute shoe, but runs very small. Based on other people's comments, I ended up buying a half size larger, but was still too small, so I gave them to my sister who is a half size smaller than me. Buy a full size larger. She said that they did stretch and now are comfortable.

French Sole's Sloop is a great shoe for fashion... I found this shoe to fit a half size smaller than my normal size. It is a soft, comfortable shoe, although there is little support. I look at this shoe as a fashion shoe, not a walking shoe. There are many choices in color and pattern and they fit in perfectly with today's demand for attractive flats.

Comfy ballerina - Cute shoe but the sole does look more like the sole of a slipper. I got the leopard print and bought it just for that reason. A sturdy everyday shoe with good support for walking, this is NOT, but for a fun cute comfy shoe to wear as you would any ballet slipper, it is great!

Much Complimented Shoe - Real cute. Yes, slipper-like. Fits tight if you have bunions. I think it's too expensive. But, looks great and is comfy enough and every time I put these shoes on I receive compliments. Good to pack in a bag and pull out for casual chic wherever you go. Just can't wear in the rain.

Cute, but too small - These shoes seemed as though they would be quite comfortable, but were at least a half size too small, perhaps even a whole size.

This shoe is very nice looking; good materials, only one seam. I usually have a hard time with ballet flats because I am narrow thru the heel and these worked. It doesn't have a very sturdy sole and it definitely is a full size too small. I wouldn't wear them for a lot of walking; they (and my feet) aren't up to it.

So cute, but a little delicate - These are the cutest, simplest suede ballet flats I've ever seen. I love them and so does everyone else who sees them. They seem a little fragile, they are so soft, but my pair actually have a rubber sole - which is strange, because the first pair I bought (which was too big - I bought 2 sizes up based on reviews, but only needed to go one size up) had a soft leather sole. So, maybe as they continued making this shoe, they put a rubber sole on it. Because that soft leather sole would never have lasted for street wear. But with the rubber sole they are soft, comfy and cute. Definitely worth the $.

Pretty comfortable - I ordered these shoes for a nice pair of casual flats, and because I'd seen them in catalogs looking great with jeans. They are comfortable. But based on other reviews, I ordered a full size larger than what I normally wear. I now feel that it was a mistake. They almost feel too much like comfortable floppy slippers, and I wasn't looking for that feel. Not to wear out for the day. I love the color (I ordered the greenish color ) and the look, but I think they'll mainly stay "around the house" shoes.

Size 12 is hard to find - I love these shoes! This size, in this style, is very very hard to find. The look is perfect for NYC, unfortunately, if you have a high arch as I do, you may find that the shoe top is a little tight. I have these in black, metallic lt. blue and zebra!

Darling ballet slipper - This is the cutest shoe, I got the leopard or cheetah, and it is so cute, light weight, easy to wear if you’re comfortable in flats, otherwise takes some getting used to, I sized up, and they are great for around the house and running to the store.

The shoe size ran a bit smaller than usual but they are so adorable on. I had to return them for one size larger than I usually wear but Zappos.com has an easier return policy than I have ever seen. I actually received the new pair before I had time to put the smaller pair in the mail.

Love My Zappos - These shoes are very stylish and very comfortable. Because they are so soft, they will not last as long as a heavier flat.

Cute shoes - I liked these shoes, but can't really find a size that fits. No arch support, so if you have flat feet, like me, they are fine.

Runs small - These shoes are so pretty, and come in so many colors, but they DO run small. Also I suspect even if I bought them in a larger size the edge of the toe box would still bind on the top of my foot. If you're going to order them, go at least 1/2 size up, and give them a good try-on before committing to keeping them!

Cute, but small - Very cute. Perfect casual ballet flat. Great flexible sole means comfortable to run errands in all day. BUT, it runs a full size smaller than marked. I normally wear a US 9.5 or 10, but I had to go up to an 11. I also had a cobbler put on an additional rubber sole, for comfort and durability. It really helps.

Like a slipper - I love this shoe. It is so soft and light. It is true that there is not much padding, but I just put a little heel pad in it from Foot Petals and it's great.
