Cute & comfy, but it'll cost ya - I love these little Mary Janes, but I didn't them at first. I like that they are so eco-conscious and there's plenty of room in the toes without the shoes looking clunky. My feet are slightly narrow so the shoes are a little big, but I don't mind. The strap across the top is just right to keep my foot where it should be without feeling constricting at all. The insole they come with is extremely thin & has little bumps all over it. If you don't mind wearing Converse shoes, the lack of padding won't bother you, but after a day of wear, my heels hurt and my arches also because the arch in these was actually inverted. I went and spent $40+ on insoles so now my shoes have an arch and a little padding. They are perfect, but they didn't come that way.

VERY CUTE SHOE - Love the look! Very comfortable, BUT little arch support; so not sure how long you could walk around in them if you were say traveling or standing on your feet all day. Lots of compliments. I will likely buy another pair.

Not sure how long they'll last - A very comfortable shoe that took no time to break in. Because the soles are made from tires, the shoes are really noticeably more slippery when you step in oil/grease spots on the road. Other than that, they are great shoes that I wish I could wear every day - only concern is how long they'll last.

Cute and comfortable - A great shoe for around town. They're not as feminine as I thought they would be, but I like them more every time I wear them. The massaging bumps really add to the comfort.

Cute shoes! These shoes were super-cute and fit perfectly. Are also very comfortable. Zappos is great; I ordered these shoes on Saturday and received them on Monday!

Too fun not to own - I saw this shoe in IN STYLE magazine. It is a really cute, fun shoe for summer. I love the idea that it is made from all recycled products. The print is great.

Simple GT Janes - These shoes are so cute and I love that they're environmentally friendly. I just wish the fit were a little better. It's true what they say, the shoe is wider than most... I had to order a 1/2 size down for them to fit better. The only problem is now my toe is very close to the front. They're not good walking shoes, but good for a random, casual night out. =]

Cute, but fit isn't quite right - This is a cute and comfortable shoe, but slightly big in the heel area. My foot sort of slips out when I walk. It fits perfect everywhere else so I am afraid a half size smaller will be too short in the toe area. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to return them. So sad.

Cute summer shoe - Great casual shoe - comfortable, cute, and environmentally friendly. I just ordered another pair in blue. Not for the narrow-footed, though.

4 stars - These shoes are wonderful for the environmentally friendly folks. The foot bed takes a bit of getting used to, and they are a bit chunkier than the pictures show, overall they are well worth the money.

Simple mary janes - These shoes are very comfortable and easy to put on/wear... they seem to run a little big, but still comfortable. A nice replacement for the 4" espadrilles!

Mixed feelings - I love these shoes. They look great with pants, shorts, skirts, anything. I was very disappointed with the lack of durability. The stuff that other reviewers said happened, happened; the buttons came off; the sole pulled away from the shoe, and the braid around the bottom is fraying badly and coming off. I admit that I wore them almost every day during July, August, and September, but I did not wear them in the water or on strenuous hikes. It is a shame that such cute, versatile, and (for my budget) somewhat pricey shoes couldn't maintain their integrity for more than one season. Of course, Zappos customer service is always terrific.

My feet look great, but they hurt! These shoes are adorable, but there's no arch support at all (I don't understand the reviews here that claim "moderate arch support"--just looking inside the shoe reveals that it's totally unconstructed). I wore them to work on Friday and my calves ached all day. They're also wider than a typical B width, especially in the heel area. I've been trying various inserts to customize the fit, so far to no avail. I'm sure I'll keep wearing these--did I mention they're ADORABLE?--but I'm disappointed by the lack of comfort, especially considering the price.

Cute. Yellow is very bright. I bought the yellow. The color is a marigold. A bit different from the picture online. Good things about this shoe: comfort - the back is soft so it does not rub, and the toe is roomy and soft. The look - very cute. The materials - that is neat how it is made. The things I would improve: no arch support. I use an insert to help. I would like if it unbuttoned or had velcro to get it on, although it does slide on ok. I am just worried about the elastic by the button breaking after a while. Overall, I would buy it again.

Not very good craftsmanship for price - I loved the idea and look of this shoe but I don't know how happy I am with Simple brand shoes in general. I have had this shoe for about a month now and already they are stretched out of shape and one of the straps broke and I had to safety pin it down. For the price, this should not have happened, especially in a month. Also, something about the Simple shoe design makes people's feet stink. My feet never stink and these shoes somehow don't allow air to circulate or something but they STINK. I have friends who have had the same thing happen to them with Simple shoes. I remember I had a pair of the clogs in high school and they ended up having a terrible corn chip smell. Too bad cause I really loved the idea of these shoes and I think Simple is a nice brand that I would like to support.

These shoes were pretty comfortable. I removed the paper liners and replaced them with foam inserts. I walked to work in them right after I got them (1.5 mile round trip), and I did not get any blisters. They are pretty cute, but I wish I had gotten a different color. I took a chance on yellow. They are nice looking, but it is really bright, and I'm not sure they're me. Plus they don't go with a lot of my wardrobe.

Worn out within two months - I love the sustainable materials, but they just don't hold up. I hand washed some dirt off these with a mild detergent, and it removed most of the color. Next time, I put them in the washer and they came out OK, but did not survive 10 min in the dryer. Most of the gummy rubber between the sole and upper came out, making the shoe totally unwearable.
