Assessment - I wear a size 8AA/AAA shoe. I like the ASICS GT-2120(2A) overall. However, I ordered a full size larger than my shoe size and find that it's still small with my sport sock. The fit of the Asics TN798 (2A) (which I have had for a while, after returning one 1/2 size smaller), is fine, with my sport socks, in the same size. Conclusion? Asics models, in same sizes don't fit the same. So be aware of that.

Great running shoe - I always love ASICS. This is a great running shoe. They are so supportive and cushion my feet so well that I hate to take them off. I recommend you try them. PS: I used them for biking and running.

GT-2120 - I have a medium arch and wear a 9 1/2 narrow shoe. Size 10 was the correct size for me. These shoes are very stiff and cause a slight foot pain/fatigue after only a 4 mile run. I do not recommend them.

Great for walking/running - These shoes are a little shiny for my taste, but very, very comfortable. They run slightly large, but I don't think I could have gone down a half size. I would recommend these and would buy another pair. I'm a fan of Asics anyway.

I usually buy Asics or New Balance for running/walking.

Not bad - I usually buy Nike Shox but thought I would give Asics a try since I've heard it's a great running shoe. I'm concerned because the balls of my feet are sore and bruised. I use the rolling stair climber at the gym which I do strike hard but have never had a problem with Nike's. It's only been since I've worn this shoe... This shoe needs more cushioning in the front. I work out 6 days a week and buy many pairs of Nike's a year but do need a really good running shoe and still looking...

Okay for pronators... I decided to try this shoe when my New Balance model 1856 got discontinued. They required a short "breaking in" period, and sometimes my feet get tired when wearing them. They do fit with my inserts though.

Doesn't perform as good as it looks... I have always loved Asics and still do. The 2110 is by far in my opinion, a much better shoe than the 2120. Upon trying it on, it's very comfortable but lacks support. I have been running for 12 years and average about 20 miles per week and never with an Asics shoe have I felt pain in my knees and hips after buying a new pair, as I do with the 2120. I had heard very mixed reviews on this shoe before buying it but decided to try it out. I will not wear or buy the 2120 again...very disappointing.

Why did they change it? I have been running for a little over a year now, and am training for the Pikes Peak Ascent. I love my Asics GT2110 and was sad to find out that the local running stores don't carry them anymore. I tried the GT2120 and was disappointed. The heel felt loose and the shoe felt narrower and rubbed the top of my foot uncomfortably. I'll be looking to stock up on last year's GT2110 until the next model comes out.

Not the best that ASICS has put out. I have been running for over 12 years in the ASCIS GT-**** series and have also loved the shoes for years. I have always depended on the same reliable fit each year. This is the first year the GT-2120 have let me down. They do not have the same cushion or flexibility that I have known in the shoe. I have also found that the depth of the heel has been shortened and does funny things to my ankles. This year’s model has been a real disappointment. I am looking forward to 2008 model.

I was really excited about trying this brand. I normally run my 5 mile runs in Saucony Hurricane 9's, but I thought I would try something new. BIG MISTAKE! These shoes feel clunky, have poor support, feel much heavier than they are, and they were painful in the outer sides of my feet. After one run, I had shin splints and sore toes. I'll stay with my Saucony’s.
